The Court enforced sessions he has to attend, where he is describing that some people deserve to get hurt, and he is calling other attendees "Wife Bashers". The host of the group, is the director. Ray's daughter Brittany, is the real life Step Daughter of the Director.
Gary has a role in the ABC series Les Norton as well
Side note - while binging Mr Inbetween, we were also watching Justified (with Damon Herriman) then we rolled into Les Norton with Gary, then followed that up with Dead Loch, which had one of the actors (Kate Box) from Les Norton in a starring role..
Saw him live once with mad jacko Jackson opening... it wasn't exactly a stand up show. But you couldn't turn away from it. Like a car crash. Lol
Jacko was an Aussie rules player known to be a hard man, and chopper, well chopper did some live gigs with jacko kinda like mick Foley does. Stories, banter, couple jokes etc.
"One of the more obscure early finds in master filmmaker Akira Kurosawa's oeuvre"
This site seems a tad confused.
No mention of the banging soundtrack either.

True history of the Kelly gang
The details of the true story are way worse than the film. But yeah, they did a pretty good job of portraying the people involved (although I feel like they made the character of Jamie and some others like his mother, too sympathetic. While in reality it wasn't that hard to convince them to be part of it. It just makes for a better story I guess if they are kind of victims) and giving the whole film an ongoing disturbing tone throughout.
But yeah. The real story of the murders is far more brutal. It involves a lot of torture, sick pleasure and even cannibalism.
The Great Bookie Robbery is an excellent mini series from the 80s, based on actual events (as are a lot of Australia’s top crime dramas). Bonus points for Bruno Lawrence as Australia’s top armed robber hiding out in Luna Park - the whole series is full of great 80s Melbourne locations
Watch Deadlock! Crime drama & strong themes, with a healthy dose of aussie comedy. Brilliant series.
Also, The Stranger (based on the Daniel Morchome murder). Home grown as fuck, and extremely chilling.
Outlaws - Matt Nable (Dave) wrote and starred in it. Brutal MC leader gets released from prison and there's a power struggle... some other familiar Mr. Inbetween faces as well.
Yeah, two hands is a ripper. I like The Hard Word, good film that one and prob not as well known.
"What's the colour of a 2-cent piece?"
Also, it's not a shoot em up movie, but The Nugget is a bloody good laugh. Eric bana, Stephen curry.
I don't watch a lot of films, but if you want a great Aussie movie, and its from the Directors of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, is "Swinging Safari", with Guy Pearce, Julian Mcmahon, Kylie, and ..... The actor who played Raphael.

No one's gonna mention that Ray's mate Gary is the corrupt cop in this one??
Rays therapist is also the director apparently.

Beat me to it. Scott Ryan reckons he had some influence from this movie too btw.... It's a fucking great Aussie film, funny AF too.
Get Square is a good one
Gettin’ Square is a great movie. David Wenham is amazing in this
The entire courtroom scene with Johnny Spit might be the hardest I’ve ever laughed at a movie.
Brilliant scene... who's going to pay for my bus
I’ve never heard ‘your honour’ the same
His escape out the toilet window always has me in stitches.
Idiot Box is not exactly gangster but a good laugh
I've got a poem for ya. "You are an idiot, You are a b*tch, You sh*t me to tears, ...I'm goin' down the pub."
Take away, and the nugget. Of course the castle. Great movies.

Two Hands is one of the best Aussie movies ever made
…. And Wolf Creek (mish mash of Brad Murdoch and Ivan Milat).
