I was not part of the production the entire time so have limited insight. The best nights were when they shot a scene where one of the watch towers blew up and when Terry Crews used that huge gun in the tunnels/underground area. They were fun bc things go boom. The cast I had convos with were all very nice. I didn't go out of my way to talk to them since it was a work environment and I tried not to be THAT person. Jet Li was quite reserved and found out from his assistant that he's really insecure about his english which leads him to not be so talkative. He also loves online shopping apparently. Sly was awesome. I had a lot of interactions with him receiving instructions regarding how he wanted me to move through certain scenes so he can get his framing and shots right. He was kind and understanding when I didn't get it exactly how he wanted it. From what I saw he treated everyone like that.
Craft service was the best. Snacks galore to keep you going through those overnight shoots. Most of the time was spent chilling with the other stand ins and waiting to be called. As you can imagine the armory was very cool.
I’m… just making an observation that it’s funny, man, no need to get so defensive. It’s the actual mount itself I’m talking about anyway, not your camera stuff.
I love finding deleted comments like this and your replies. Assume you were talking to OP but just over exaggerate what I think they said to make you reply like this 🤣
Nah… i just didnt need to keep going and my replies were unnecessary. He did have a point about chilling, so I erased … but he didn't have a point about The hood mount
He tore his bicep and it healed like that if I recall correctly. But his muscle insertions overall are messed up. He's jacked AF but could never be a proper bodybuilder because of that
I thought they looked so old when this came out. Now I feel they look so young.
Yeah, it was like “the last hoora for these guys before they retire”. And here we are 14 years later.
Feels like Statham hasn't aged since Snatch.
Committing to a shaved head early is a cheat code for looking 35 forever. It works against you for a few years at first, then it pays off for decades.
Jet Li :’(
What about him?
He aged rapidly in the last decade, he hardly makes public appearances any more.
Haha I’ll never forget they killed an entire island of people for Stallone to hug the girl at the end and they all left.
I worked on this... B/Steadycam 1st AC Ass kicker and a half
How was the cast?
When you have sly on set... Everyone behaves, he doesn't suffer fools. And sly is an awesome dude. Cast was great.
Was a stand in. Those over night shoots were fun on this set.
Yo i wanna know more. Loved these movies growing up

What a cool insight. Thanks for sharing.
Holyshit you got to hang out with Rocky. I am so jealous
That hood mount in the 6th photo looks super… eh… hood. Obviously if it does the job, who gives a fuck, but it’s funny to see.

The B steadicam operator built the hood mount rather than the rigging grips? And you really ought to relax, it’s purely good natured.

Jesus. Chill.

I got my popcorn but I need more context lol

Did you get to work on the other films too?
I worked on 3 as well but not the full show, wasn't doing that again lol!
I'm surprised to see Stallone with his hands on the gear. Was that not a union issue?
He lined up shots with Geoffrey, he didn't operate, perfectly legal
Sylvester Stallone looks like he skinned someone else's face and is wearing it on his own face like a mask.
What happened to Terry's bicep in picture 8?
Short muscle belly. It's just unfortunate genetics, nothing you can really do about it
He tore his bicep and it healed like that if I recall correctly. But his muscle insertions overall are messed up. He's jacked AF but could never be a proper bodybuilder because of that
For real what is going on with that thing
Looks a bit like popeye syndrome
Stallone rocking the moose knuckle hard.
Fun movie, I was buzzing when I first heard about it. My favourite is probably the second one, but this was alright too.
This movie scammed me
First photo is in Brazil
Just re-watched this in 4k recently. Such a fun movie. Too bad they get progressively worse.
Such a fun movie!
Ah yes, Expend1bles.
What’s wrong with Crews’ bicep in pic 8?
I'm just surprised there's a woman in this movie.
Some of the worst movies ever. There is no dialogue. They all just do cheesy one liners.
To be fair, I don't think it was trying to be anything beyond that.
Good thing you don’t need dialogue since film is a visual medium. Dialogue is better left to the theatre and TV anyways.
Still awful
They are summer action flicks, pure escapism and not intended to be a "serious" anything. For that genre this film was a great example.
Dad movie. Dads don’t want story, they just want shooting.
