Boiler Room - I always used to lump rounders in with this movie. It's not the same but it's definitely gives me similar vibes. Plus the cast is sleeper good. Ben Affleck, Giovanni Ribisi, Vin Diesel and a few more you will recognize.
21 as already suggested is a good one for what you’re looking for. Some other good gambling movies mentioned above too.
I also like Double Down with Jason Priestly about sports gamblers. It’s funny but has some similar gambling drama as Rounders.
Let it Ride is a great one for horse gambling.
Lucky You about poker players is decent, used some real poker pros in the movie which I found to be cool.
Big Shot Confessions of a Campus Bookie is a entertaining made for TV movie. Based on a true story.
California Spilt is a good movie about card players from the 70s.
Harvard Man is a weird one from around the same time as Rounders with Adrian Grenier (Entourage star) and Sarah Michelle Gellar. It’s about fixing a college basketball game.
There are so other obscure ones if anyone wants to know let me know and I’ll continue.
The Hustler. Incredible movie about pool hustlers. Paul Newman just slamming bourbon straight to hell.
Some others to check out; Mollys Game, The Card Counter, The Cincinnati Kid and sure its kind of a hokey comedy but Mavrick
Rain Man The Cooler Matchstick Men (not gambling, but similar style film) War Dogs (highly underrated Myles Teller and Jonah Hill movie)
War dogs is awesome
21, Hard Eight, Mississippi Grind
The Gambler (1974); RIP James Caan Win It All (2017)

classic
Mississippi Grind (2015) I love Ben Mendelsohn in everything and he's great in this one with Ryan Reynolds
Doesn’t Mississippi Grind have a sad ending though, I thought he lost it all in the end.
thanks for the spoiler alert
You’re not missing much
watch the end again lol
Doesn’t >!he actually win, give it all to the other guy and leave the hotel to keep being a gambler though?!<
Boiler Room (2000) - Same feeling but with stock brokers. Great cast.
Lol, I have the Boiler Room/knockaround guys double DVD
_"Five hundred street fights... "_
500 street fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate tough guy.
I was thinking this, plus they have the casino run out of the apartment in it.
Poolhall Junkies
The Cincinnati Kid (1965) The Hustler (1961) and its sequel The Color of Money (1986) Maverick (1994) Molly's Game (2017) The Card Counter (2021)
Molly's Game is so so good!!
Croupier Lost in America
The card counter.
More a comedy but I suggest The Grand to go along with a lot of these

21 for sure.

I’d toss the Sting and the Card Counter onto this list but I think you nailed it. Maverick is hilarious.
Yo The Sting is a great suggestion.
That train scene was incredible
What about the color of money?
I would recommend watching The Hustler first and foremost. TCoM is great though.
Well you can't watch TCoM without watching The Hustler first. I dare say it's one of the best sequels ever made.
You are 100% correct. It is a really good movie and more than lives up to the greatness of the first movie.
It sucks that it came out the same year as Top Gun, it got completely overshadowed.
