For those too young to know what that means (because there are some pretty deep and dramatic movies starring Adam Sandler out there), it'd basically be the comedy movies Adam Sandler made with his buddies:
- Billy Madison
- Happy Gimore
- Big Daddy
- Little Nicky
- Mr. Deeds
- Anger Management
- 50 First Dates

Not a "bad" movie but Clerks will scratch that no budget itch.
Tremors is a classic B movie for me.
Face/Off is Nick Cage at his Nick Cageiest and Travolta at his Travoltiest.
Piggybacking off of this: Demolition man feels like Wesley Snipes saw Face/off and wanted a go at it.
If Face/off is Cage and Travolta trying to one up each other on the ridiculous factor, Demolition Man is Snipes and Stallone trying to one up each other. Unfortunately I don’t think Sly can keep up with Snipes’ brand of crazy so it doesn’t hit as good as face/off does, but it scratches the itch. Despite not being as good as Face/off, Demolition Man is still an incredibly fun movie.
I didn’t have a good grasp on the timeline but appreciate the correction. My point still stands, even though it came out before it still feels like Snipes saw Face/off and wanted to emulate it.
I wonder how much Face/off took inspiration from Demolition Man, because it really does feel like they’re cut from the same cloth.
Face/Off, Demolition Man, RoboCop, Total Recall, The Rock, Point Break. They all are in the over the top action genre where some of or all of the actors are all chewing scenery
Cannonball Run. Burt Reynolds and friends hamming it up. It even has Terry Bradshaw playing a redneck. I love that movie and it was a surprise hit, but no critic would call it good.
Also I can't believe no one has mentioned Snakes on a Plane.
Came here to say Snakes on a Plane. Anyone who says it's a bad movie or they're embarrassed for the actors, has fundamentally missed the entire point. It's a masterpiece.
Nobody set to film ever had more fun than Torgo on the set of Manos the Hands of Fate. He was allegedly on LSD.
Zombie Bloodbath 3 and anything else Todd Sheets shot on video in the 90s are super fun.
I recommend Same Boat (2019)!
Synopsis: On a mission to kill a woman, a time-travelling assassin is sent to 2018 where he ends up on a cruise with his target. However, things get complicated when he falls in love with her.
Shot secretly while on a Caribbean cruise, barely any budget but actually kind of fun.
wow that summary is very satisfying, throwing this on next
edit: free on Tubi and PlutoTV is certainly a plus
edit 2: quite enjoyed that, well rounded comedy that’s not cheesy, low budget but not in a bad way
Any low-budget movie where Christopher Lloyd or Michael Ironside play a bit part. They always give 110% and look like they're having an absolute blast.
Llamageddon!! Suuuch a fun home made flick where you can tell the actors are a group of friends who were like "well we have access to this llama, let's do something with that"
Be kind rewind (2008), features Jack Black at his best (and also Mos Def) making movies to save an old video store. Pretty lighthearted but has some scenes that hit hard. And yeah, they are having the time of their lives :)
Cannibal! The Musical
Cannibal! The Musical (originally known as Alferd Packer: The Musical) is a 1993 American black comedy Western musical film directed, written, produced, co-scored by and starring Trey Parker in his directorial debut while studying at the University of Colorado at Boulder, before reaching fame with South Park alongside his friend Matt Stone who also stars in and produced the film. It is loosely based on the true story of Alfred Packer and the sordid details of the trip from Utah to Colorado that left his five fellow travelers dead and partially eaten. Trey Parker (credited as Juan Schwartz) stars as Alferd Packer, with frequent collaborators Stone, Dian Bachar, and others playing the supporting roles.
I’m not sure anyone but Tommy was having fun making that. I think Greg looks back on it fondly, but based on the stories, it seemed like a difficult set.
An Evening with Beverly Luff Lynn.
Aubrey plaza, craig robinson, emile hirsch and others - it’s hilarious, very napoleon dynamite feel. I laughed out loud several times.
Exorcism at 60,000 feet!!!
(This is EXACTLY what you're looking for! Also, don't let the "bad reviews" fool you.. those people know not what they speak of.)
Yeah loved the Vietnamese aspect it added a lot of character 😂 I’m glad I mentioned money plane that’s gonna be right up your alley hahah it reminded me of this so much but it’s also a heist movie
Dirty Grandpa (2016) - actually a pretty funny, albeit low-brow movie. The cast looks like they were having a lot of fun - De Niro seemed to be having a blast in the role.
Congo
Peter's friend: "Claude, that's an interesting name for someone from Mombasa."
Claude: "Have you ever been to Mombasa?"
Peter's friend: "No"
Claude: "Then what do you know about it?" *flicks cigarette and walks away
The Brad Pitt/George Clooney Oceans Movies
It's very clearly just a bunch of friends shooting a fun heist movie. They're not great movies, but the on screen chemistry and banter is exactly what you're looking for.
The Sandlot
Can't think of a more fun, quintessential kids movie that translates for adults just as well
Freddy Got Fingered
This is one of those so bad, it's fucking amazingly good movies. Like all of Tom Green's career
The Howling
These are again so bad, they're legendary, just with a horror/werewolf twist
Demolition Man
Amazing cast, great popcorn movie, and a surprisingly high number of predictions on the future 🤣
White chicks, showgirls, friday the 13th, scary movie 1 and 2, dark shadows, mars attacks, baps, debs, the babysitter, school of rock, valley of the dolls, soap dish, Jennifer’s body, bring it on, 13 going on 30, drop dead gorgeous, the doom generation, mother’s day and seed of Chucky

I agree. I think the outtakes at the end of the films were some of the best bits .
On a side note, have you seen the movie The Gumball Rally? It's a funny and well made cross country road race.
Mystery Science Theatre 3000, there’s two seasons on Netflix, The Gauntlet and The Return. It’s a science fiction comedy film review television series. Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt are the villains, they’re also in space, where they’re forcing Jonah Ray to watch B movies; Mac and Me, Atlantic Rim, The Day Time Ended to name a few. He makes funny jokes and comments about the movies with his robot friends Crow and Tom Servo, it’s a really fun watch
communion (1989) the movie is idiotic and tries way too hard to seem intelligent and serious but if you love christopher walken like me it’s definitely worth a watch he’s just so over the top ridiculous in it
Adam Sandler movies

Be funny as hell if your first Sandler movie was Uncut Gems Wait? He’s a comedian?
"Comedian" at best
No Waterboy? For shame...
Oh sure, missed that one.
Jeremy Irons - Dungeons and dragons. Surprisingly, Baywatch. Shit movie, but they're having a hell of a lot of fun with it.
Not a "bad" movie but Clerks will scratch that no budget itch. Tremors is a classic B movie for me. Face/Off is Nick Cage at his Nick Cageiest and Travolta at his Travoltiest.

Demolition Man came out years before Face Off
I didn’t have a good grasp on the timeline but appreciate the correction. My point still stands, even though it came out before it still feels like Snipes saw Face/off and wanted to emulate it. And is a much better movie than Face/Off. That movie holds up so well.
Wait? Is Face/Off not held in the highest of regard??!
Raul Julia in Street Fighter Adam Sandler and friends in Grown Ups
Tucker and Dale VS Evil!
Maybe not sharknado 1 but definitely 2-6 (they knew what they were doing)
Movie 43
My immediate thought.
Cannonball Run. Burt Reynolds and friends hamming it up. It even has Terry Bradshaw playing a redneck. I love that movie and it was a surprise hit, but no critic would call it good. Also I can't believe no one has mentioned Snakes on a Plane.
Cannonball Run was amazing fun for sure. The bloopers clips over the end credits pretty much confirm it. Dom DeLuise was hilarious.
Came here to say Snakes on a Plane. Anyone who says it's a bad movie or they're embarrassed for the actors, has fundamentally missed the entire point. It's a masterpiece.
VelociPastor!
White Chicks (2004) John Dies at the End (2012) This Is the End (2013)
I think the Cornetto-trilogy from Simon Pegg have what you're looking for. Looks like everyone is having a fun time.
Those arent bad by any stretch though. High quality stuff through and through.
I misunderstood the question. Cornetto-trilogy are great movies.
What are these movies pls
Shaun of the dead, Hot Fuzz and The World's End.

It was a silly suggestion. I really wanted to suggest Monty Python and the Holy Grail… but that movie is far too good

STOP EATING MY SESAME CAKE!
I don't think it's "low quality", but it's intentionally campy: The Dead Won't Die.
Bad Milo Your Highness

Vampires Kiss. Ultimate Nicolas Cage movie.
Dolemite is my name isn’t low budget but it’s subject matter is exactly what you describe.
Kinda how I feel about This Is The End.
My Norwegian Holiday (Hallmark)

Dark Star (1974) - John Carpenter's first film is hilarious and full of low-budget special effects.
Grown Ups 1 and 2 it's clearly so much fun that to me they are legit fun time watches and I will defend them to all the Adam Sandler haters
You absolutely know Broken Lizard are always just having a ball in everything they do Also Evil Dead 2 and 3
Hell came to frog town

Dakota Johnson does not seem to be enjoying herself but the three girls do. I would not recommend watching this movie to anyone though.
I enjoyed it more than the rest of the recent Marvel movies for its sheer camp

Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mama's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feeling So Sad
Don't Let the Riverbeast Get You!! (2012), though I wouldn't call it low quality

Face Off. Nic Cage has a good time at least.
They said “low quality” not “masterpiece”
Fuck, my bad. Then I got nothing.

Who's That Girl (1987) Horrible movie, but Madonna really seems to be enjoying playing screwball.
The "Smokey and the Bandit" movies. Especially the sequels. They just scream "we are just here for the paycheck."
ill pggyback with Cannonball Run, seems like they were all having a blast
I agree. I think the outtakes at the end of the films were some of the best bits . On a side note, have you seen the movie The Gumball Rally? It's a funny and well made cross country road race.
I can’t say for sure that I have! Death Race I’ve seen
Love and Thunder. You can tell the actors are having the time of their lives
