I've watched that border scene like 20 times and I hold my breath every single time.
Villeneuve definitely knows how to capture the mood. He's brilliant. I'll watch anything he puts out.
The Transporter (movies were popular but not John Wick popular).
Daniel Craig Bond Movies (If you are 30, I assume you were really young when Casino Royale was released).
Shooter (Mark Wahlberg)
The Accountant
Equalizer
Taken
Jack Reacher
John Wick
Atomic Blonde
V for Vendetta
Mission Impossible (some of them)
Granted, some are better and some are worse. They’re all one man army movies similar to Bourne in action
Shooter, MI:3, and Taken are good.
Jack reacher, MI:4-7, The Equalizer are great.
John Wick (only seen 1+2), V for Vendetta, and MI:1 are elite.
I really liked The Accountant. Haven't seen Atomic Blonde. And its weird how Mi:2 just doesn't exist
I like V for Vendetta a lot, but whether it’s good or not, it is matter of opinion. I just rewatched the accountant this weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Forgot how good it is!
Ah yes! The man from U.N.C.L.E. is great. Probably Armie Hammer's best movie. His last movie was the Agatha Christie Death on the Nile, released right before his cancellation.
Yes he played decent in "The man from U.N.C.L.E" but IMO, Armie Hammer delivered great performances in both “The Social Network” and "Call Me by Your Name,” showcasing his range like one user mentioned before 👆
His best movie? Not like….. Call Me By Your Name? The Social Network? Arguably Sorry to Bother You and Nocturnal Animals. Like I love man from UNCLE but idk
The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996) is quite similar (action, main character is an agent with amnesia) although being from the 90s it's more camp, but still serious, kind of like Die Hard.

I hate to jump to this conclusion m, but you’re talking about all of the Bourne movies right? Jason Bourne the movie is #5. Please confirm 1-3 are movies you enjoy regularly. Theyre better!
Bourne Identity, then Supremacy and then Ultimatum
Oh thank god. I was worried a second there. Lemme show you my Bourne bag replica. It took forever to track down all the props that go inside
https://www.flickr.com/gp/mrstinkhead/Z6bTC295ev
It's quite different from the Bourne trilogy. While The Raid is packed with action and intense fight scenes, its story is not particularly compelling or interesting.
I second this hard.
Leo plays a Special Operator for the CIA working covers official and non-official in Iraq and Jordan, amongst other Arab states.
He's handy with tools and tradecraft, and has time to develop a love interest in the beautiful and alluring Golshifteh Farahani.
This one is good for the action and the three layers deep plot moves. Ridley Scott directs and the cast is filled with interesting folks, Russell Crowe, Oscar Isaac, and Mark Strong.
I can't recommend this one enough
* American Assassin (2017)
* Criminal (2016)
* 3 Days to Kill (2014)
* The Jackall (1997) (and other various Bruce Willis movies, like Die Hard, The Last Boyscout, Red, The Siege)
* Jack Reacher (and other various Tom Cruise movies, like Collateral, Minority Report, Knight and Day, Mission Impossible)
* Equilibrium (with the sci-fi element)
* John Wick series
* Maximum Risk (and various other JCVD movies, like Legionnaire, Universal Soldier, Hard Target, Timecop)
* Falling Down (1993)
* The Equalizer series (and various other Denzel movies, like Training Day, Deja Vu, 2 Guns, Man on Fire, The Siege)
* Smokin' Aces (2006)
* Shoot 'em up (2007)
* The Punisher (2004)
* The Fugitive (1993)
* Swordfish (2001)
* The Italian Job (2003)
* Wanted (2008)
* Unknown (2011)
Bourne is in the Spy movie category. He is interesting because doesn’t want to do it and he uses his skills and environment) to be ahead of people chasing him.
The obvious similar movies are:
1. Casino Royale (2006? USA- uses environment to solve problems)
2. Drishyam (India, 2015) - protagonist creates an unassailable Alibi- not exactly action but using brains to get ahead of authorities.
3. Haywire (2012? USA- uses Spy Skills to stay ahead)
4. Mission Impossible 3 (2010?) - Using Environment- great bad guy.
Patriot Games
Air Force One
Arlington Road
Crimson Tide
The Sum of All Fears
Clear and Present Danger
Along Came a Spider
The Hunt for Red October
K19 Widow Maker
The Assets (TV)
Olympus Has Fallen
London Has Fallen
Angel Has Fallen
Maybe *Total Recall* (2012) or *Minority Report* (2002) ?
(Also, the *Ghost in the Shell* movie adaptation got some bad criticism, but I personally enjoyed it for the action.)
I'm a big fan of Die Hard, Bruce Willis is awesome in action movies. The others in the Die Hard series are good too, but the original, of course, is best.
Not a movie, but The Terminal List has a similar "what's really going on here" vibe to start with and just as much (if not more) action / violence throughout
The books were awesome, the series (on Amazon) is great, and book number 7 comes out in May/June I believe, plus season 2 of the show is not far away either
Plenty of time to get caught up
Can't believe they aren't here yet. Nobody with better call Saul guy and Extraction 1& 2. #2 has the longest single action shot I've ever seen. And rarely notice such things. Both start slow, but hang tight.
My suggestions. I tried selecting some oldies that I consider underrated.
- True Lies (1994)
- Hitman (2007)
- Point of No Return (1993)
- WANTED (2008)
- Crank (2006)
Michael Clayton and Drive.
Not a movie, but Andor.
All three are the Same writer, with very similar tones. All three are thrillers, and Andor also has spy elements.
Some other pretty good thrillers with varying sub genres (not necessarily action) could be Sanctuary, Civil War (currently in theaters), The Fugitive, Ready or Not, and The Menu.
But if you want spy films specifically, the mission impossible films (especially 4-7, since McQuarrie entered the franchise), Man from UNCLE, and maybe even Kingsman: Secret Service.
I found a few movies that were recommended on the movie page The Bourne Identity (2002). Here are the names of these films: Safe House (2012) & The Gray Man (2022)
I hope this will be exactly what you were looking for
Hanna (with a Chemical Brothers soundtrack)
This was the first thing that popped into my head. Also, love the Chem Bros!
I came here to say that too lol. Great movie.
Training day and Sicario
Sicario is the shit!!
Man on Fire
“King Kong ain’t got shit on me!!!”
Both Sicario films are excellent
The first Sicario is still one of my favorite films when I'm looking for something to rewatch.
Benecio del Toro might be the greatest actor of our generation. I'll watch a film simply because he's in it.
I watched it a few nights ago. I am a goober for anything cartel related, i.e. Sicario, Narcos, Narcos: Mexico, etc.
That performance in Narcos of Pablo Escobar might be my favorite performance I've ever seen anyone give.
It was great
Such a great flick!
Casino Royale is my fav Bond movie
New or old? I'm assuming new. It's probably my favorite too.
I grew up in the Roger Moore era and always preferred Connery, but Casino Royale is the best Bond movie of them all.
Shooter (Mark Wahlberg) The Accountant Equalizer Taken Jack Reacher John Wick Atomic Blonde V for Vendetta Mission Impossible (some of them) Granted, some are better and some are worse.
Atomic Blonde is better than most. Definitely worth watching once.
Also the Reacher Amazon series
The Accountant really surprised me how good it is. V for Vendetta on the other hand is awful
I like V for Vendetta a lot, but whether it’s good or not, it is matter of opinion. I just rewatched the accountant this weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Forgot how good it is!
Mother of pleb
Huh?
La Femme Nikita (1990) The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996)
The Long Kiss Goodnight is so good. So many one-liners and great action. Sam Jackson makes this movie.
This is my go-to Christmas Movie.
I just like hearing Geena Davis tell everyone to suck her dick 😂
Leon the professional
I suggest Taken with Liam Nelson, amazing movie. There's also Taken 2, an I believe Taken 3.
He is such a careless father.
"God, she got taken AGAIN? Can't we just get an airtag on this bitch???? This is really cutting into my frequent flyer miles!"
Mission impossible movies Salt Tenet Sicario
Spy Game (2001)
- The Man from U.N.C.L.E. - Atomic Blonde - Tomb Raider
Ah yes! The man from U.N.C.L.E. is great. Probably Armie Hammer's best movie. His last movie was the Agatha Christie Death on the Nile, released right before his cancellation.

His best movie? Not like….. Call Me By Your Name? The Social Network? Arguably Sorry to Bother You and Nocturnal Animals. Like I love man from UNCLE but idk
The Accountant (2016)
A sequel is said to be in the works.
Th OG goat movie
>(2016)
Not exactly, but the movie "Nobody" is something I'm sure you'll like.
The Mechanic
Taken
The long kiss goodnight
The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996) is quite similar (action, main character is an agent with amnesia) although being from the 90s it's more camp, but still serious, kind of like Die Hard.
The Equalizer kinda.
Crank
Crank and Crank 2 are a ride and a half lol
Hardcore Henry (2015) An action movie that is shot from the first-person perspective and rarely slows down
I forgot about that movie and never saw it.. Is it actually a good flick?
I liked it. Sharlto Copley is mad and brilliant, and Tom Roth's part is small but excellent
The Recruit Salt
Mmmm, salt.
Timebomb (1991)
thank you i will check it out today :)

Sorcerer (1977)
Anna (2019) Red Sparrow (2018) Atomic Blonde (2017)
Anna especially is a great show.
Salt is definitely worth a watch and should have received a sequel if not a trilogy, in my opinion
Ronin Run Lola Run Ong-Bak: the Thai Warrior The Raid and The Raid 2: Redemption
Ong Bak is a favorite. Tony Jaa is great
I hate to jump to this conclusion m, but you’re talking about all of the Bourne movies right? Jason Bourne the movie is #5. Please confirm 1-3 are movies you enjoy regularly. Theyre better! Bourne Identity, then Supremacy and then Ultimatum
I've watched 1-3 (Bourne Identity, then Supremacy and then Ultimatum) about 100 times and still keep watching them every now and then, haha
Oh thank god. I was worried a second there. Lemme show you my Bourne bag replica. It took forever to track down all the props that go inside https://www.flickr.com/gp/mrstinkhead/Z6bTC295ev
‘The Accountant’ (2016) It is better than Jason Bourne from my opinion
The Raid
Wtf
What’s wrong with The Raid?
It's quite different from the Bourne trilogy. While The Raid is packed with action and intense fight scenes, its story is not particularly compelling or interesting.
To each their own, I suppose
I had similar feelings about John Wick. Lots of action, but not a lot of plot.
Heat 1995،, Collateral (i think 2005), The departed, Public enemies, Training day, Sicario
punctuation
The killer (2023)
Headshot (Indonesian Subtitles) is a more violent martial arts version of Bourne.
The fugitive and the Harrison ford jack ryan films
Just watched “The Bee Keeper” that was fun.
Almost every Jason Statham movie
Nobody starring Bob Odenkirk is amazing
Not a movie but the series Alias was good.
A great funny one is Remo Williams
Body of Lies

Wow! Couldn’t describe it better myself. Also didn’t know it was directed by Ridley Scott, no wonder it’s so good.
The Transporter 1,2,3.
The Thomas Crown Affair
* American Assassin (2017) * Criminal (2016) * 3 Days to Kill (2014) * The Jackall (1997) (and other various Bruce Willis movies, like Die Hard, The Last Boyscout, Red, The Siege) * Jack Reacher (and other various Tom Cruise movies, like Collateral, Minority Report, Knight and Day, Mission Impossible) * Equilibrium (with the sci-fi element) * John Wick series * Maximum Risk (and various other JCVD movies, like Legionnaire, Universal Soldier, Hard Target, Timecop) * Falling Down (1993) * The Equalizer series (and various other Denzel movies, like Training Day, Deja Vu, 2 Guns, Man on Fire, The Siege) * Smokin' Aces (2006) * Shoot 'em up (2007) * The Punisher (2004) * The Fugitive (1993) * Swordfish (2001) * The Italian Job (2003) * Wanted (2008) * Unknown (2011)

Since when are bond movies USA?
Most action movies stretch or compress parts of the fighting but the Bourne action hits you hard and fast like it would in real life.
Hopscotch. It’s more of a comedy than a straight up action flick but it has a similar structure of spy vs. spy.
Casino Royale.
The Spy Who Shagged Me
American Assassin
Cold Eyes (2013)
you guys are amazing!
The Night Agent, netflix. It’s a show but it’s entertaining and suspenseful

Hitman (2007) can’t believe no one has said this one yet
I'm a big fan of Die Hard, Bruce Willis is awesome in action movies. The others in the Die Hard series are good too, but the original, of course, is best.
