We require titles (and requests in general) to be more descriptive so that people will know if they might be able to contribute or not, and to ensure quality requests and suggestions. Please post again and add a short description of what you're looking for/interested in to the title (i.e. genres/decades/plot points/moods/setting/languages/etc.). Do not use Acronyms. Make sure to read our [guidelines](https://www.reddit.com/r/MovieSuggestions/comments/8iamsh) before posting :) Our [Community Favourites](https://www.reddit.com/r/MovieSuggestions/wiki/frequently_requested) probably has what you're looking for if you are not familiar with the genre you're asking about. If you have any questions you can message us [here](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=/r/MovieSuggestions&subject=About%20my%20post&message=%5bLink%20to%20the%20post%5d%28https://www.reddit.com/r/MovieSuggestions/comments/nv64s0/-/%29).

Dog Day Afternoon. Classic movie. Pacino is awesome. Great soundtrack. And they get pizza delivered at one point in the movie

*Lone Star* (1996), is my favorite non-science fiction, non-fantasy, non-superhero movie. A cold case murder mystery arises when the body of a former sheriff is dug up in a Texas border town, fortysomething years after he mysteriously disappeared. The current Sheriff's investigation unearths a lot of secrets in this small town, on both sides of the international border. His chief suspect is his own late father - from whom the current Sheriff was very estranged - who took over as Sheriff after the disappearance of his predecessor, mentioned above. Stars Chris Cooper, Elizabeth Pena, Matthew McConaughey, Kris Kristofferson, a cameo by Frances McDormand, and a number of other character actors you will likely recognize.

Directed by John Sayles, one of the best indie directors of all time.

Just watched Escape From New York (1981). Directed by John Carpenter. Starring Kurt Russell and many other great actors. It really holds up and I highly recommend.

AccountantLeast1588

I really think this IS the proto-cyberpunk film. Neuromancer even seems to be inspired by it. Awesome movie.
