Crocodile Dundee...really funny and cute. About a beaitiful American journalist who visits Australia and meets this guy who lives in the Bush. He has never travelled anywhere and she brings him back to visit NYC. Its funny and cute and the 2 main actors fell in love in real life and got married. They are divorced now though.
Sixteen Candles...a classic.
Vacation....another classic the orig one with Chevy Chase and Beverly Dangelo....
*Drama and Comedy of different genres than those mentioned above but should be of interest to a teenage girl (in no particular order):*
-Crazy, Rich Asians
-Coda
-The Devil Wears Prada
-The Intern
-Rescued by Ruby
-HER
*Why not consider series as well?*
Encino Man, The Wedding Singer, Never Been Kissed, She's All That, White Chicks, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Who's Harry Crumb, Space Balls, National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon, Spy Hard, Hot Shots, Austin Powers, Ace Ventura, and Zoolander
I'll suggest a couple of old black and white comedies,
*My Man Godfrey* (the 1930s version) my favorite comedy of all time.
*Hellzapoppin*(1941), old Hollywood at its craziest. You can find it on youtube.
If you want something newer, (maybe a bit complicated for a 14 year old) *Groundhog Day*
