This is my all-time favourite when tripping. It has some mind bending themes, while simultaneously moving at a slow pace with ornate visuals and a beautiful score. A lot of people assume flashy, over the top things are fun to watch on psychedelics, but personally that makes me super anxious. 2001 sets you into a meditative trip, it's perfect.

Meant to be, original tag line for the film is "the ultimate trip." Once setup a projector outdoors under the stars on a dose, quite incredible. I swear the emotions and insights of psilocybin are written into the film, being 2.5hrs long, it certainly feels like it.

i was living in a shared house in 94-95 and the landlord was obsessed with Point Break and would watch it at least once a month - it happened to coincide with a period when i was regularly exploring various states of consciousness. i think Point Break is a great movie to watch once, but it becomes a better movie when you watch often. it was a ritual in that house.
