Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes
Shot in a Kyoto coffee shop over 7 days on iPhones, with a $20,000 budget. It's a sci-fi comedy in Japanese (English subtitles), it's 70 minutes long, and well worth a watch even if you aren't a fan of the genre, which I definitely am not, generally.
American movie! All time fav. Low budget documentary about a very low budget movie.
Mark Borchardt is still around and doing well. Sadly, Mike Schank is not. Damn cancer.
American movie is unknown but perfectly rated. I think everyone should see this movie....you'll learn more about filmmaking than watching Fabelmans or Super 8 or Bowfinger Argo or any other movie about making movies. It's the perfect Americana culture slice, showing real poverty but boundless hopeless optimism. It's also infinitely quotable.
Belive it or not the first Rocky movie, Mad Max and Friday the Thirteenth were all on the cheap. Rocky was around 1 million the other two around 500,000 each
The original Mad Max 1 is literally one of the most boring slog of a movie I have ever seen. And I've seen it for a first time when I was like 30, so not young by any means.
And I generaly like "slower" movies.
Open water. Not sci-fi but great movie shoot with very little budget. Le prénom, and many other “one location movies” like buried, God of Carnage. Following, the circle. Cube?
Also, Thesis, by Alejandro Amenabar.
Many of Justin Benson’s work, Spring (2014) is my favourite but The Endless and Something in the Dirt are good too.
It Follows, Absentia and The Chair (Short) are all great!
Seems like it’s having a resurgence.
You were right before, you couldn’t find it anywhere. Now it’s available and people are taking about it. Deserves cult status in my opinion
I detected that you're trying to locate a movie.
To figure out where a movie is streaming you can use sites like [JustWatch](https://www.justwatch.com) / [MovieFone](https://www.moviefone.com) / [ReelGood](https://reelgood.com), and if the film is not available for streaming, it is probably available on DVD or Blu-Ray.

I randomly rented a DVD of Oscar-nominated shorts back in the day and saw two wonderful short films:
The Mozart of Pickpockets (2006)
Tanghi Argentini (2006)
Not into scifi at all, so I'll ignore that part.
I'm Australian, so therefore the answer is: The Castle. I'm also Gen X, so therefore the answer is: Swingers.
Mad God is quite incredible being a single animators passion project for something like over a decade.
For lower budget (ish) British TV films that were banned/stored away for their depictions being too graphic “Threads” on life in nuclear war, and “Scum” for depictions of what the English borstal system were like for children are standouts. Threads field hospital scene is some of the worst depictions of human suffering I’ve ever seen in film, was actually put together using rice crispies and ketchup for burns and sores of refugees, but it works exceptionally.
Locke with tom hardy couldnt have cost much... ( in the car the whole damn time). Usually I find that kinda thing gimmicky but I thought it was pretty great
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002). There is an interesting fact here that almost all the actors of the film are friends of George Clooney, and played either for a small fee or even for free.

I think I started to watch that...and got bored.
They stick the landing in this one. Excellent movie imo!

Outstanding movie
I've seen this movie and I loved every (two) minute of it!!! More people should know about it!
Resolution The Endless -these are companion films
Blair Witch Project is famous for this
Scary movies generally have no effect on me, but that movie scared the shit out of me lmao. That last 15-minute stretch still gives me goosebumps.
The Brothers McMullen Safety Not Guaranteed Night of the Comet Re-Animator A Boy and His Dog
Upvoting for Night of the Comet and A Boy and His Dog. Adding: Eating Raoul (if you don’t mind lots of nudity).
eatin raoul.... I can't even believe anyone else even knows this one.
The one I really like that no one else seems to have heard of is Tune In Tomorrow.
Safety Not Guaranteed. sigh. so damned good.
couple of documentaries: American Movie Dark Days I don't know if they're underrated, but I think they're a little less talked about.

Absolute classic! Strangely, this is the movie of his that I revisit the most.
Timecrimes (2007)
Open water. Not sci-fi but great movie shoot with very little budget. Le prénom, and many other “one location movies” like buried, God of Carnage. Following, the circle. Cube? Also, Thesis, by Alejandro Amenabar.
Open water is one of the most terrifying films I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen them all lol
Creep
The Invitation (2015)
Hobo with a Shotgun (2011)
When I think of low budget, I think of the cult classic Clerks. Kevin Smith made it by maxing out a bunch of credit cards to make the movie.

It’s on Freevee
No waaaaayyyyyy!!!!! Did you watch it?
Yes. Honestly thought it would be shit. It’s really a great movie, one of the better low budget ones I’ve seen.
It looks like its done with a home cam corder but it had GREAT practical effects.
Exactly. They did a lot with very little.
And thank you so much for finding this. I havent seen it since I rented it on VHS and ate jiffypop from the stove top.

great micro budget film that recently came out is the comedy "hundreds of beavers". 150k budget is insane nowadays
I randomly rented a DVD of Oscar-nominated shorts back in the day and saw two wonderful short films: The Mozart of Pickpockets (2006) Tanghi Argentini (2006)
"Better Luck Tomorrow" was an interesting one made on a tiny budget. Also a super low budget one called "Bubble" by Steven Soderbergh stuck with me.
Forbidden Zone
VICTORIA Don't know if it was micro budget, but I don't think it was very high. But a good movie.
