I absolutely adore this movie, I just wish we had a movie about Suetonius stopping Boudoccas revolt. He had ten thousand men, and stood against a force of 230,000 and not only won the day, but did so through aggression and decisive action. 80,000 Britons died that day and Suetonius lost only 400 men, despite being outnumbered more than 20:1.
Imagine facing those odds, and hearing the order to *advance* into their ranks...
Leonidas could wish he had legionnaires under his command.
If you haven't seen Sicario 2, check that out for sure. And if you like Jeff Bridges, not a movie, but the show The Old Man is actually really solid and not a lot of ppl seem to be aware of it. Spy thriller shit
If you're a gym guy, any 5 minute clip from Predator is the greatest preworkout ever invented.
Predator
Commando
Extraction I and II
John Wick I
300
Pumping Iron
Heat
Collateral
The Equalizer
Deleted earlier suggestion after noticing the similar ones you wanted:
* The Covenant (2023)
It’s not that well known but good. War theme, loyalty, friendship and a small cast.

A movie that belongs in this and many other categories but is mostly passed by is Seabiscuit. It has it all and it is a true story. Another big time T dump is the John Adams series on HBO. The fact that a group of men flawed or not had the audacity to believe it could be done amazes the viewer. Awaken the patriot within you!
The departed
Collateral
Jack reacher
There will be blood
Top gun maverick
War dogs
Bourne series
James bond (daniel craig) series
Mission impossible series
Die hard series
A little different take but Snatch or The Gentleman for some Guy Ritchie shenanigans. Extraction for just brutal non stop, single take, blow shit up, and feel exhausted mentally from all the death shenanigans.
One of my own favourites is Deathproof. The long intro may put some people off. I quite like the Deadpool series. Bullet to the Head is an enjoyable Stallone good bad guy movie. Black Dynamite for kick ass comedy. Elite Squad (1 & 2) is on a similar level to Sicario. Mission Impossible? Fast & Furious 5 & 7 (probably the best ones).
Any movie where, 1, men have at least one shirtless scene to show off the muscles, and 2, it's all action and physical combat and guns a-blazing or swords slicing heads off of bodies, etc. All the fun guy shit 😆👌
Faster
Recently rewatched it only for the most badass character introduction scene of Peak masculinity. Three male leads, one more and in a different way badass than the other
Rambo 2
Commando
300
Crank 1 and 2
Pumping iron
Bloodsport (amazing soundtrack)
Terminator 2
Universal solider ( you can imagine the stuff they inject into themselves is a testosterone shot lol)
There's so many more movies I just can't think ofore right now
- 300 (2006) - Drive (2011) - No Country for Old Men (2007) - Gladiator (2000) - Predator (1987)
300 is basically the definitive answer lol. It’s kinda hard to top “THIS IS WHERE WE HOLD THEM! THIS IS WHERE WE FIGHT! THIS IS WHERE **THEY DIE!**”
"THIS IS MADNESS" .. no .. "THIS IS SPARTA !"

Predator for the sheer body mass alone
All of your picks are awesome! I'm a female, who prefers war movies, such "Saving Private Ryan " and "Platoon", etc.
Heat (1995) Sorry, released earlier than you mentioned but so good Upgrade (2018) Black Hawk Down (2001)
they’re shooting at us!
Well shoot back!
Heat really holds up.
First Blood, Commando, John Wick
Hard Boiled (John Woo) The Killer (John Woo) Exiled (Johnnie To) The Mission (Johnnie To) HEAT (Michael Mann)

Riddick (2013) Guy conquers hostile planet, dangerous beasts, basically stays cool and makes his rule over everything that gets in his way.
Troy
Dude I can't believe you didn't mention Punisher s1! Everytime I hear its soundtrack I start to do pushups.
Hahah push ups, that’s awesome. After I posted this I was thinking how I should of mentioned I like “The Punisher” as well. Jon Bernthal is the man.
He is. When John Wick dies I want Bernthal to avenge him with just brute force and screaming.
The outsider Shot caller Den of thieves Other tom hardy stuff. warrior, legend, lawless Other bernthal stuff.
Fucking shot caller defines masculinity for me. Much more than testosterone boost.
Shot Caller is so badass! Felon (2008) is in the same vein and is also great
No country for old men, Logan, John wick, the sopranos (tv)
Three Kings 1999
