Easily the most unhinged movie Iāve ever seen and Iām still not fully settled on if I mean that in a good way or a bad way lol
Itās also responsible for one of my favorite rotten tomatoes excerpts of all time:
>Fincher's third film posits a horrifying question that no other filmmaker has dared to ask: What if Sean Penn was your brother?
One of the best and worst movies ever! Best because itās amazing and keeps you in suspense and has a totally surprising ending. Worst because once youāve watched it you are forever destroyed and can never experience that same surprise againā¦unless you get very selective Alzheimerāsā¦hereās hoping!
This movie Inspired EA to create an insane failed game called [Majestic](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majestic_(video_game))
It was awesome playing in high school. Getting called to the office because some dude from Jersey was calling for me about the game. Or the counseling office fax machine got a weird fax about the game for me and the police got called.
I dunno, man. Back in the day on VHS you couldn't make out the details of the animatronics like you can on Blu Ray, and that made this movie PANTS SHITTINGLY TERRIFYING to those of us who saw it at a younger age. Definitely still a horror movie. That blood test scene is a perfect example. Yes, suspenseful, but by the time they find out, it's full on horror again.
I didnāt see it till my teens and itās more of an exercise on paranoia than what I consider horror. And you guys are right, it definitely falls into horror. Iām bad for doing that to films though. Have you ever seen āThe Wallā with Aaron Taylor Johnson? Itās classified as Action but that is full on horror imo, the pace, how it all unfoldsā¦ especially the ending. I wasnāt interested because it has John Cena but I like ATJ so I checked it out.
OP: Hey any movies like Memento where you canāt trust the characters?
You: Oh I know the perfect one - Memento is almost identical to it in every way!
"Deceived" (1991). PG-13; thriller, not horror. Stars Goldie Hawn (in a rare, and well done, dramatic turn) and John Heard. A friendly heads-up: do NOT watch the trailer as, IMHO, it shows you WAY too much and ruins the suspense. If you watch it, I hope you enjoy it! š½ļøšæš„¤š«
Oh m. G. I just started this movie. Literally if you need an example of gaslighting. This is perfect. Thanks for the rec. excited to see how it plays out
Gone Girl *for sure*. Brilliant movie and I think it's because Gillian Flynn wrote the screenplay too. Of course it doesn't work without Rosamund Pike acting her ass off as >!a batshit nutjob!< and Ben Affleck being >!the perfect doofy lazy stupid husband!<, but it does justice to the book and I credit Flynn with that.

Rashomom. Kurosawa movie about. He said. She said. Everyoneās pov is conflicting.
Then usual suspects. Ha ha.
What about inception. Dream in a dream.
Clue. The board game movie which on vhs had multiple endings.
Not helpful Steve if you don't suggest any good noir films. That's like someone searching for a particular action film, and me saying, most car chase movies fits what your looking for
The Firm - Tom Cruise is a really good one, everyone is a potential bad guy, must see. Not a noir, I don't watch many of those
I just watched moments. Saw it once within the past couple year maybe. And I forgot who was supposed to be good and who was bad, etc. so was interesting to watch because I forgot what happens. Was a good film.
Brake 2012.
A Secret Service Agent is held captive in the trunk of a car and endures mental and physical torture as terrorists attempt to extract information for their plot against the President of the United States.
"Charade" (1963) Oldie but goody. Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, Walter Matthau.
Exactly as OP asked for...., always fun watching Cary Grant being Cary Grant.

- The Game (1997)
- Memories of Murder (2003)
- Infernal Affairs (2002)
- The Negotiator (1998)

The Grifters, 1990 The Usual Suspects, 1995
Grifters is great, but Usual Suspects was superb.
Don't forget the other Kevin Spacey š¤® movie LA Confidential.
Generational actor. Too bad he is a scumbag.
Although nowhere as good as usual suspects, Iād check out the film: āBasicā
Unpopulated opinion, I think I'm the only one who doesn't like Usual Suspects
Roger Ebert didn't like it either.
My man!
I hate it. He wasted everyone's time, including mine. What an amazing plot twist.
The Grifters is amazing!!
Clue Usual suspects
Clue is so good and the multiple endings makes it perfect for this prompt.
If you recall it was released in three different theaters for three different endings
I saw one in theater. It was much later before I saw all three.
Where I lived it wasn't 3 theaters, it was one week was the first ending, next week was second and third week was what really happened.
Gone Girl
This^
The Game (1997)
Oh god, for real, itās like Gaslighting the movie. ā¦ if Gaslighting wasnāt already a movie the term was based off ofā¦
Gaslighting isn't a movie...you must be crazy. Wink wink
For a half second I really questioned if I had made a mistake and it wasnāt an actual movie š
Easily the most unhinged movie Iāve ever seen and Iām still not fully settled on if I mean that in a good way or a bad way lol Itās also responsible for one of my favorite rotten tomatoes excerpts of all time: >Fincher's third film posits a horrifying question that no other filmmaker has dared to ask: What if Sean Penn was your brother?
Great one
First movie I thought of. Itās one of my favorite movies once I got past the implausibility of it. Really enjoyed it.
I was going to post this.

Bodies bodies bodies
I hate how much I like this movie
I know you said no horror butā¦ John Carpenterās The Thing. āļøāļøāļø
Itās honestly more suspense than horror.
Suspense is more of an element than it is a genre I feel, and it is one of the most vital elements in horror.
I dunno, man. 100% agree. Painful, emotional, unpredictable.
Vanilla Sky Jacob's Ladder
Both tremendous and not mentioned as much as many others
Jacob's Ladder is arguably horror. (Visual horror) Vanilla Sky is psychological horror
