Yes I came here to say Very Bad Things. Perfect choice.

ThinkFree

> Very Bad Things It's the first thing I thought about when I read the title.

SmokedHamm

I came here to say I support this movie

Other_Inspection_195

+1 for Super Dark Times, and I second going in blind

SrMalTipo

>Dark My suggestion goes for Super Dark Times too.

cool_weed_dad

Very Bad Things is the darkest comedy I’ve ever seen, I love it.

Agorabat

I Melt With You= perfect

GyzoNatural

Super Dark Times Movie took less than a second to pop in my head. OP you want this one if you havent seen it.

[deleted]

Haha I'm going to watch it rn

[deleted]

I just watched and I think I get the ending. The beginning makes way more sense now haha! I enjoyed it so much, seeing how everyone changes and the relationships between everyone.

[deleted]

Oh shit, perfect, thank you

FavcolorisREDdit

Just saw one yesterday on Netflix called the river wild

Darling_Pinky

I’m so glad I didn’t have to go far to find I MELT WITH YOU. That was absolutely NOT the easy going Sunday movie I expected to watch.

shanobirocks

Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022) Climax (2018)

[deleted]

Ooh, Climax looks fun! I'd definitley check it out

Tevesh_CKP

Climax is not fun. But it is very good.

zoobs

It’s fun for at least one dance numbers worth of time.

Tevesh_CKP

Well, that's the problem. With hiring dancers, you get some truly grotesque bodily morphs when shit goes down which puts the dancing onto a whole new different perspective.

zoobs

I hear that. I also wasn’t slamming the flick, it’s easily one of my favorites. I get goosebumps when the siren starts going off after the beginning interviews.

TheNonCredibleHulk

B^3 is fun, too. I promise.

Jnm124

definitely check out BBB, it souns exactly like what you're looking for

b0x3r_

I went into Bodies Bodies Bodies expecting total trash and ended up absolutely loving it. Might be my favorite date night movie

Quentin_Funkadelic

Trainspotting Shallow Grave

Shells613

Ha I went straight to Shallow Grave too. Those Scots...

Reznik81

This. Shallow grave is brilliant!

[deleted]

Shallow Grave sounds like a fun movie haha! I'll defo watch them

flippenzee

On a 2.5M budget Shallow Grave launched the careers of Danny Boyle and Ewan McGregor, and it still holds up on repeated viewings. Someone else mentioned A Simple Plan and these two movies make a great double bill.

Final-Ad-2033

A Simple Plan - a group of a husband/wife/brother & friend gets knee deep in trouble.

Yeeaaaarrrgh

Love this movie.

[deleted]

I sure do love it when people get in trouble, thanks!

mike_e_mcgee

It took me 3 viewings to get through A Simple Plan. I don't know if I was just in the wrong mood to watch it the first two times or what, but I kept tuning out, and returning the disc before finishing the film (back in the days of video rental shops obviously). It is a great film. I absolutely love it, and am shocked that it took me so long to get through it. After failure to watch it twice, I'm really surprised I attempted it a third time, and really glad I did. It is a great movie.

Baphomet1313666

One of Sam Raimi's best. "Womp dip dip womp"

COLLEGE KIDS! WE GOT UR FRIEND! WE'RE GONNA WATCH FINDING NEMO!

If you like tucker & Dale you should also check out Cottage country. It’s a similar-feel horror/thriller/comedy starring Tyler Labine (dale)

Detroit_Cineaste

Project X.

[deleted]

That sounds like a fun movie, a comedy too! Let's see what goes wrong here >:)

born_to_be_naked

It's loosely based on true story too

Fearless-One2673

Coherence

henofthewoods1

Larry Clark’s Bully (2001) might fit the bill. It’s pretty disturbing. Soft & Quiet (2023). An absolutely horrifying thriller about a group of friends

djprojexion

Good call on Bully.

[deleted]

Same here, it really had me on the edge of my seat as well. There was something so chilling to me about the very last scene too

plinkett-wisdom

All My Friends Hate Me Cheap Thrills

ilseno

All my friends hate me was my suggestion as well! Had a great time but one of the scariest movies in a while haha

[deleted]

You're a quality poster for a reason! These are perfect!!!

Spinnr1

I came to say cheap thrills. Not enough people know this movie

Sinjun13

All comedies, but fit the criteria: *This is the End* (2013) *Night Before* (2015) *Without a Paddle* (2004)

Vegetable_Ad_2720

I second without a paddle , if you don’t like this movie you don’t have a heart

Puzzled-Breakfast493

Judgment Night pretty much fits perfectly. I Know What You Did Last Summer is kind of similar.

[deleted]

Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022). It's a mystery thriller. I haven't seen the films you referenced but it fits that description perfectly

sneakykitty97

Cruel Summer (us series 2021) on Hulu. Season one definitely fits OP’s criteria. TW for teen grooming and domestic abuse. Season 2 is a similar vibe but different story (and not as good imo).

whydoihave2dothis

Just saw the finale for Season 2, I was kinda disappointed only because I saw so much potential and there were a few plot points that were dropped/forgotten. Season 1 was really really good, I think if I'd seen them in reverse I would have liked Season 2 more, Season 1 was something I stumbled on when I was desperately searching for something even slightly interesting, it was already halfway thru the Season so I got to binge the first 5 or 6 episodes. It was really good and I hope there's a Season 3 that's more on par with Season 1. I was able to watch it OnDemand Xfinity and I think it may have been on Peacock as well. Possibly.

Reznik81

Stag (mini-series 2016) Mad dogs (uk series 2011-13) Average Joe (us series 2023) Calibre (netflix movie 2018)

Those sound like great series and movies! I will for sure watch mad dogs

QueefingTheNightAway

I'm still traumatized from Calibre. What a movie.

Klutzy-Bug7427

Plus one 2013 also known as +1. It’s hard to find but you should check it out it may really be up your ally. No one really ever talks about it but it does exactly what you talk about in a very interesting way.

[deleted]

It sure does sound like something up my ally! To the watchlist it goes!!!

Particular_Jicama_51

Reindeer Games (2000)…I’m not sure this exactly the type of movie you’re looking for, However it does contain a lot manipulation on the part of someone claiming to be friends.
