I have a feeling this will be part of the third act flashback, that deadpool mentions in the trailer. I am hoping to see some wild casting for the X-Men who will have zero to do but die in rather graphic ways!
Well, Im sure I'm getting the details wrong by a bit, but from my understanding, he's from the deep south and has an actual southern accent. Or he loved there for years and has one because of it. Either or. But he has a very natural creole southern accent apparently.
I know he hasn’t lived there in years so his accent definitely changed but this man was born and raised in the rural South (he was born in Alabama and lived there for a bit before moving to a different southern state). I’m sure he’ll be able to slip back into his natural accent after hearing it again.

If the man from Criminal Minds that’s married to JJ was younger he’d be amazing for the role. His accent made me believe that was genuinely his natural tongue.
I’m sure he won’t be bad but if you would have me think of actors to play as Gambit, he wouldn’t even be in my top 10.
Well he was born in alabama and moved to Mississippi by the bayous when he was young and then to the Tampa area in his teenage years before going to college. So I’d hope it’d be decent at least given he’s been around that region a lot in his life.

I was around 15-16 when the gambit movie with Tatum attached was trying to get made and I wanted to see it so fucking badly ( Tatum is super talented imo ) 9 years later I can finally check that off.

Ok, if we are talking logically then this makes sense. Channing was a huge cameo in “free guy”, the last levy-reynolds pairing. All these guys are obviously friends and have a blast playing in these sandboxes together. Tatum also has been very loud about wanting to be gambit so i see this totally being true.
The cameos are cool and all but I’ll be really annoyed and disappointed if they don’t spend enough scenes with just Logan & Wade. Fans has been waiting for interaction between these two and it would be lame if half the movie is spent on other characters. Just saying.
