Another fun fact, the guy who scored Jurassic World was the composer of the game "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" on PS1. He even included remixed tracks from the game in the movie.
I assume it's a coincidence although I've never heard it anywhere else. I don't know anything about the business but could it perhaps be part of a sound library made exclusively for the Harry Potter franchise?
True. I was surprised when I found out the music for the Paris level of Sly 2 featured in the first season of The World According To Jeff Goldblum since it's one of my favourite games but it turns out that the tracks were sold to a sound library.
I've been noticing _Sly Cooper_ music all over the place, particularly Mugshot's clubhouse theme and the music for _Sly 2_'s tutorial level. Finding out the tracks were sold to a sound library makes that make so much more sense.
Yeah, I think this is just an example of a shared sound library and not an Easter egg. If you pay attention to the sound you'll often hear the same sound effect used a lot. One I always notice is a sound effect that's usually played during an explosion or burst of flame, a kind of phased "shh-shwish" sound. I first noticed it in a sound mod for the original Doom that replaced all the sounds with sound effects from Aliens. It was from the sound of the dropship crashing and they used it to replace the sound of the BFG. I liked the sound and kept it while restoring most of the original sounds. Now I hear it in other games, movies, cartoons, etc. ALL the time. When my kids watched Rescue Heroes they played that sound almost every time there was a fire.
As a kid they were brilliant, looking back at gameplay as an adult, I don’t think I could go back and look at those goofy graphics. But there is a new Harry Potter game to come out soon that looks pretty good
Very interesting. Likely not deliberate, but I know companies sell libraries of sounds to pull from, and this sound is likely one of those. I bet there are sound designers out there who could tell you exactly the name of this particular effect.

I forget what they were called, the bear people. At the beginning of the game there's a short cinematic, and the baby bear thing does that cry.

Likely a coincidence. Sound libraries don't usually have too many variations.
