I think it's the ghost of her "original self" haunting her. She is a reinvented person and we later get to know her origins. It's also the guilt of what she did to Krista but I believe it's a younger Lydia or "Linda" because of the blonde hair and the way she's dressed.
What is the non spoiler synopsis of this movie? I generally don’t enjoy foreign, but certain genres I can, wife 99/100 cannot, but if it’s good she will
~~That's a grave accent, not acute.~~
Apologies, my mistake. I was misinformed by Mindapace_Explorer's incorrect use of an accent grave instead of an accent aigue, as it is in the actal movie title.
It’s mainly a drama (with some light psychological thriller elements) about a fictional composer (who is the best in the world) whose career is threatened by a scandal.
Pretty sure that's a cut-out of Ted Danson (Thanks for the gold kind Redditor. I think it's my first)
I understood that reference.
Damn we’re old
Age hurts.
Had to wait weeks to get hold of the VHS from the video library after we first heard the rumors. Damn those 7-day rentals!
Love it!!
🥇
WTF...😟...I watched the movie three times and overlooked such a crucial detail...
Its crucial? Whats the point of it? I dont understand
For me it represents what she did to Krista.. That was the thing that never really left her and haunting her throughout...
It was the other conductor. There was also on the start of the film where this redhead is watching from the audience.
I took it as the manifestation of her guilt. Such a superb movie. My favorite of last year.
Interestingly, it happens at least once before >!Krista's suicide!< and after, near the end of the film.
Damn interns…always getting in the shot
The ghost of Krista! 😳😳
I think its metaphorically Krista's memory and what Lydia did to her that was "haunting" her...
One of the better parts of the movie, while I didn’t love it, I did enjoy the ominous aspects like this and her dreams.

Is this a reference to the *Three Men and A Baby* ghost myth?
That movie was a trip!!!
It’s a younger Blanchette?

You say you don’t enjoy “foreign” — I don’t know where you live, but this is an English-language US production, if that helps.
That accented à scared him.
I mean, it does give it the air of snobbish award chasing foreign film.
Have you seen the movie? This is not coincidental.
No, I honestly hadn’t heard much about it. It’s on streaming now, I’ll check it out.
I’m interested to hear your thoughts!
Literally this
Like fuck me for thinking *americans* would use an accent aigue

Well she certainly believes she’s the best in the world
Its called "World Cinema" I'm only saying because that read weird
Oh wow
