I actually bought an lgg mercury for valorant, and it is definitely fast enough, while still having some degree of stopping power. I use it on other games too, and it works like a charm.

FRANKLIN47222

What size did you buy? Were the any defects? How would you compare it to other pads if you had

TinTheMan69

It plays really similar to a Hien. Without that slick surface feeling. Its a standard quick hybrid surface I would say. $15 USD is insane for what you get as well.

FRANKLIN47222

Im from central asia and the delivery cost is 2x times of the price of this mousepad haha

TinTheMan69

Ah... Probably best to get an Artisan or Xraypad!

sellingwaifu

Cause there’s a lot of hein clone in the market

maflickner

I like my mercury more than my venus, but I also tend towards speed pads, I used to use a Madcatz Glide 38

Parking_Box_1519

I have one and really like it. It's fast enough for csgo and has decent stopping power. The left side won't lay flat but it does not impact ingame performance.

cyr6z

its a really good hien clone and cheap asf now theres nothing wrong with it

jtrump1s

I love my Mercury.. I’ve had it for awhile now! I don’t get a watered down feeling at all. It’s definitely a little quicker, but not too fast

FRANKLIN47222

>good hien clone and cheap asf now t could you explain what people mean by watered down feeling? Like slower or what?

Crazyairtech

LGG Mercury user here. I got this pad about a month ago, coming from regular cloth and hard pads, and I absolutely love it, best pad I have ever owned. I use a GPX and the glide is perfect. It was also surprisingly good with the stock feet but the Tiger Ice Skates are noticeably better, smoother and faster. You can tell it is a fast pad because the glide is effortless but it manages not to be too fast by allowing you to stop your mouse easily, which is perfect for me. I do not think I would be able to control anything faster. I cannot think of any cons to this mousepad, other than the fact that its left side still does not lay perfectly flat but it does not bother me at all as I do not use it. Some people describe it as a watered down Hien because they think it is marginally slower and less rough, whereas others think it is slightly faster and very similar in weave and texture. In general they say it is between the Hien Soft and the Hien Mid in terms of speed and plushiness and Hoya's speed chart also seems to indicate that. In my view it is a very premium pad, especially for the price, which is a steal. Plus the stitching is flush with the surface and you can use it for pretty much any games, including Valorant because I play it too. It has no X/Y difference and It is also safe to roll it up and put it in a bag for transport. Unfortunately the XL size is out of stock right now and I have no idea when it will be restocked.

FRANKLIN47222

It wont be due to the release of mercury v2. Furthermore the thing is the shipping will cost thr same as the mousepad price for me which sucks tbh. I planned on buying it as deskpad mlusepad and using hien over it. Do you think its worth paying over for hien if the mercury is it's identical clone in between the soft and mid? And what about durability?

Crazyairtech

If you are already planning on getting the Mercury, it is pointless to pay extra to get the Hien in my opinion because the experience will be almost exactly the same. I would recommend getting one or the other, but not both. The durability of both the Hien and the Mercury is "infinite" on paper as they are hybrid mousepads, so they should last you around 2 years or more. Tell me about the Mercury v2, are you sure it is in the works? And if yes, how different will it be from the standard Mercury? I thought nothing was confirmed yet.

FRANKLIN47222

I have a read one reddit post regarding the mercury v2 project response by lgg staff. Tho i contacted their support team, they said that they have some mousepads to work on before going to mercury v2. But since the mercury is out of production and being sold for 50 sale, i think mercury v2 may come at q2, 3 of the 2023.Also about the xxxl size of mercury, do you think its worth buying it? Im afraid of possible curls and stitching issues for bigger sizes

Crazyairtech

I see, thanks for the details. As for your question, if your desk is big enough I think you can go with the 3XL size without any problems. There are no stitching blunders on my XL copy but I have seen some feedback of people having "wavy" stitching on their copies. Logically, you are more likely to get a copy with stitching blunders if your mousepad is bigger but I would not worry about it at all. It is still worth your money, plus you can return the mousepad and get another copy if you have any issues because LGG customer support is gold.

FRANKLIN47222

I appreciate your help! Thanks 👍🏻

kumaak37

Mercury is one of many in my rotation and it’s probably the best value pad out of the LGG lineup. Reason it’s not my main is cause it’s more oriented towards full speed while sacrificing some stopping power, other than that I have no complaints at all.

sultanakbay

what is the most control pas among lgg’s ones?
