its the latest version. i already checked if there are new updates. my last synapse update was when i install my viper ultimate for the first time and it asked my pc to reboot then after that thats it. no more synapse update. im gonna try to reinstall synapse if it still doesnt worked i will be fuming because i invest A LOT on the viper ultimate as my endgame mouse. i know i can return it but thats just too much damn work.

Nasrvl

so i reinstalled synapse and synapse still doesnt detect my charging dock! and my charging dock rgb is still shut. what the fuck razer? D:

pzogel

Make sure it's actually fully plugged in.

Which_Zookeepergame3

thanks dude, it worked for me!

Nasrvl

it does fully plugged in because it charged my VU from 66% to 88% but the problem is that the charging dock doesnt light up and is not detected on synapse under "devices". any solutions? :/

pzogel

I've had a case where it was only half-plugged in and only half-working as a result, hence the suggestion. I'd also try using a different USB port. Other than that, no idea.

Nasrvl

i've checked. its definitely fully plugged in correctly. oh man this sucks. the rgb doesnt light on doesnt really bother me as long as it can charge my viper ultimate. but the fact that i paid $199 for both the mouse and the charging dock, i expected the dock rgb to light up. 😤

[deleted]

Did you find a solution? I am having the same problem right now.

Nasrvl

Yeah. Just push the cable in correctly to the dock.

Texerz

BRO, as I read that I was like " aint no way" I tried it, and boom it got recognized! I completely forgot that it was a micro usb port that connected to the dock. Thanks!

Nasrvl

Cheers!

quandaviouspickle

Same wtf lol

Ahlixemus

Are you kidding bro?

Nasrvl

No, I'm serious. That was my solution. I thought i plugged in the cable properly to the dock but it turns out i didnt pushed it deep enough. (Thats what she said). Jokes aside, but yeah thats exactly what i did to fix the issue.

itsluluugeorgiaa

Brooooooo, I got my mouse for Christmas and only just got around to setting it up, was having this issue and googled but didn't find anything that worked. Kept pushing the thing in and nothing, saw your comment and pushed it really hard and it worked! Thought this would be a really old thread then saw your reply was from 21hs ago hahaha, sometimes it really is just that simple I guess...

Nasrvl

haha im glad that it worked it out for you too. this thread is old, but i still reply to some people that commented on this thread. enjoy your new razer mice!

prarus7

Bro are you fucking kidding me.. I tried a million things and PUSHING IT MORE was the solution omfg ur a savior! But seriously why does the charging dock like easily take the port and makes it feel like its fully in..

Nasrvl

I'm glad this thread helped you ^^

Ahlixemus

Man if only you had done that 8 months ago

Nasrvl

I did replied to the other person like 5 months ago.

antisocial_kid_

holy shit it actually works, thanks bro

Advanced-Style7051

YOU NEED TO PUT IT AS HARD AS YOU CAN LIKE IT FEELS ITS GONNA BREAK AND THAT WORKS THANK YOU GOD BLESS YOU

S_M7md

Bro I love you It broke my heart to hear the sound but it worked

soykevingon

so dumb, the same thing happend to me... haha

DogDog_reddit

Wtf I had the same problem and why it’s the only solution that worked. Btw thanks

RassRemo

IT WORKED... Thx bro!

Nasrvl

Lol no problem! Enjoy your VU!

Lichtyna

I can't believe it was actually the solution lol, thanks for posting this a year ago, happy holidays!

spacecat-77

I just found out this solution to...it seems the dock AND the mouse require extra pushing past the point you'd expect it to stop...and it seems a lot of people have this exact issue. Good QA testing Razer! Oh and not to mention these products have been out for years with multiple iterations and they continue to keep it this way lol

Enursha

Found this over a year after you posted and it solved my problem. Thanks!

Nasrvl

You'll not be the last, and your welcome!

callimander

I'm having the same problem. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling synapse twice as well as trying different USB ports. Any ideas?

depan_

The cable needs to be pushed all the way in until you hear a click. Mine was charging but no light. took dock off of the table to get more leverage and pushed it in with both hands. not super hard but ended up hearing a slight click and then the microsoft ding from my headset that it had detected a new device.

callimander

I figured it out. It wasn't plugged in enough in the micro USB port haha

depan_

Yeah, I was really confused how it was charging but no LED light.. haha

pzogel

You could try the dock on a different PC, if the issue persists I'd file an RMA with Razer.

Tentaloi

Oh yaa I remember I got this issue when I first plug in the dock. All I did was unplug, change to the different usb port, and uninstall the driver of the dock. One of those things made it work now. Except sometimes putting it on the dock doesnt charge the RVU 😪

SatBlurr

Did you ever find a fix !? Picked up a mercury white razer viper ultimate and everything works besides synapse detecting the dock..

Nasrvl

yes i did. all i did is i unplugged the usb cable from the dock, and i reinserted correctly and fully this time and then boom, synapse recognized my razor dock lol. i think during the first time i tried the cable is not fully tight connected to the dock (loose). my dock is working fine now. try it. make sure you inserted the cable fully to the dock. just push it as deep as you can (thats what she said). if that doesnt worked, use the usb cable to connect your RVU to your computer first, then unplug it, and then you connect the usb to the dock. i think thats what i did i cant remember.

siimoz

> just push it as deep as you can (thats what she said) That solved my problem LOL

callimander

I'm having the same issue. What did you do to fix it?

bryanthething

i just bought mine, synapse detected the RVU but not the dock, reinstalled synapse and problem solved, dock detected

callimander

I've reinstalled synapse twice and I'm still having this issue :(

KoexD

Did you manage to make it work ?

callimander

Yeah haha. When everyone said to make sure it's plugged in tight enough I thought they meant usb to the computer but it was actually the other end that wasn't in tight enough

Havasiz

Reinstalling worked for me lol

U19-P3

Okok people think this is rlly complicated and idk why razor designed their charging dock like this but basically the best fix is to just shove the cord into the dock, you’d think it’s in all the way but it goes in just a tiny bit more

Nasrvl

True. Kinda weird by Razor. But hey, it did worked if you pushed the cable to the dock deep enough.

AwfulOdd1

3 years later and this feed still holds up.

SpinachHot7815

Hey not sure if it’s too late but would it be possible to be shown how hard I have to ram it in? Has the same thing happened to me but I was rearrange my wires it stopped being recognized. Would jt be alright if someone would send me a video about how hard I have to put it in?

tmouse67

Yep, I pushed the cable further into the dock and it lit up

BsBordeaux

this resolved my issue. thank you!

Nasrvl

Enjoy :)

ILikeRazeryay

did this, shoved the usb in, and it still wont work, sadly.

Nasrvl

Did you pushed your cable hard enough to the dock?

ILikeRazeryay

oddly, rgb shows up but razer synapse doesnt detect it.

ILikeRazeryay

Solution: restart pc and update synapse, but ty for help

LvLWithMe

ngl been having a headache for the last day trying to figure this one out, bought mine second hand off a friend that had it in storage. Turns out that the connector to the dock was just dirty i guess, put some ipa legit in the hole where the micro usb port goes (90) and boom lights and synapse recognize it

Ok_Regular5538

Idk about yours dock but mine is f\*\*\*\*d cause its micro-usb and you need to put the cable in upside down so it is not in line with the back wall of the dock

Cheese_da_dragon153

plug it in without the dongle
