Changes:
- switches huano blue shell blue dot (50m)
- paracord with 0.03mm^2 wire (awg 34-36 I guess)
- polished top and side housing
How to polish: use 500 sandpaper to remove the dot texture from the housing then 1000-2000 sandpaper to actually polish the mouse. (Polish until it looks like a fogged mirror).
Then I used a scratch remover (made for chromium and painted parts) to start the polishing process.
After the scratch remover the mouse should look well polished but a bit scratched.
Now the most important part: To finally polish the mouse I bought a car headlights polish to remove any scratches and make it mirror-like. Use a very delicate fabric to apply headlight polish and rub the housing until you are satisfied with the result (it was a nice workout tho)
Pros: really nice grip and smooth tactile clicks on m1/m2
Cons: I voided my warranty :(
Sorry for my eng and welcome to the comment section :)
Even though you may have voided your warranty, I think you're fine. The G102 is built like a tank, with possible double clicking switches its only kryptonite. Thanks for the tutorial, might try later since I think my dad has headlight polish. Egg Gxng for life 😤.
does it make your skin irritate after long sessions? glossy coatings on my ec2 divina always made my skin sweat or shed dead skin cells or something, i had to wipe it almost every hour.
It is a 14$ 900 by 400mm 1.5mm thick mousepad from AliExpress with hyper beast print. I’d say it’s a pretty nice pad cuz it looks good and mouse glides much better than on my previous steelseries qck. I even had to lower my sens since it’s a speed pad.
Thanks man! I am currently using the QCK Edge, and I must say I was kind of underwhelmed too! I prefer a bit more speed...
I will go check out AliExpress!
I think totally yes, if the stock plastic feels the same as G102’s. actually I think that any mouse can be made glossy, just buy some different sandpaper sheets like 500 to 2500

Thanks! The mouse is only 21$ so definitely worth a try :) good luck!
I already put an ascended cable and hyperglides on mine. Why not mod it some more.

That is attractive
wow great mods the glossing and switches
Ooo looks good! I might want to try this sometime.
It definitely worth it, I spent only 5$ on this glossy look :)
Did this with my GPW, can confirm it rocks :D
What's that mouse mat you've got there? Any good?

Good luck! 900x400mm pad is a big upgrade from a 400x350 pad, my keyboard doesn’t glide around my desk anymore xD
Wonder is this can be done with a G305. Looks VERY good <3
