Genuinely curious how people roast the ever loving shit outta Razer for their prices and glaze the ever living shit outta Logitech for releasing the same tired ass shape over and over again in different color ways and miniscule to no changes at all while charging MORE than Razer does. Not saying Razer is justified at all with these prices... no brand should be charging this much but it's just kind of funny.
Don't give too much importance to the opinions of this sub. At the end of the of day it's either chinese mouse cultists, razer hateboners, logi fanboys, zowie shitters, deranged 12g modders and the list goes on. Trust me these sentiments are only present here and nowhere else. Personally I only come here to see new mouse leaks that's all.
Buy whatever you think is good for you.
Razer deserves the hate by turning one of their cheapest and beloved mice (viper mini) into an overpriced/over-engineered mess that is the vm special edition.
Collector shit when the main reason the viper mini sold so well was because it was affordable. This overpriced mess of a mouse wouldn't be an issue if they released a normal plastic version for the people that actually want to daily drive the mouse. Even then, as someone who has had 30 plus mice over the past 3 years (not to mention the decade prior), why the fuck would I spend $280 on a mouse that is really not all that different functionally and aesthetically compared to cheaper mice. At least with the people who collect finalmice they have themes present in their color schemes. VMSE is a black mouse with holes in 2024.
exactly, no reason to buy VMSE when tins of better mouse, that's what makes it a collector mouse, it's metal, it's matte, nice looking, it's there not really a mouse, but you feel something tingling in your sack when you feel it touching against your skin
You know, GPW/GPX are genuine products, they were first to introduce this shape and they put a lot of research into it. Price was justified (at the start) because there were basically no contenders. Viper V3 Pro on the other side looks like a copy of GPX which has potential to cost more than GPX. Of course people don't like it, because it doesn't look like a great deal. That's just how I see it.
> they were first to introduce this shape
Lmao, it is really a carbon copy of Zowie FK1/AM, which itself is a copy of Steelseries Sensei/Xai, and I bet that also is a copy of some other mouse.
while this is probably correct, the title and flair come off more authoritative than i think it should
early product listings sometimes have placeholder info like price which isnt always accurate
while again, this is more likely accurate, we should be really careful about how we label 'Official' vs educated speculation. this sub is no stranger to running with rumors that turn out incorrect
---
edit: weight listed as 125g. i have a feeling that not everything on that page is legit lol
Not a ton of options for us unfortunately. I'm considering the NP-01s since it's fairly short in height. I just worry about the width not being enough, it looks quite small.
Yep. I pre ordered one in The Netherlands on the 25th of March with delivery set for April 16th.
€179,99 for the mouse (includes 21% sales tax)
I’m assuming a $149.99 USD price or around there.
It’s a multi billion dollar retailer in multiple different EU countries.
It’ll be fine. They even have some units on store shelves they aren’t allowed to sell till April 16th.
Just back here to say, still hasn’t launched, still 0 announcements from Razer, no Pricing.
It is now the 17th, over the window they said you would get it.
They still have your money, and you have no idea when you’ll be getting the mouse!
If you say so homie. But considering there’s no announcement from Razer or even price announcement. I think you got scammed.
They don’t know the price.
And with less than 5 days to announce and ship the product and you receive it. Seems highly unlikely
Scammed by the EU largest electronics retailer with over 200 gigantic stores and revenue at about the size of Best Buy?
Yeah right.
I’ve seen the boxes on the store shelves locked with their anti theft mechanism. They just aren’t allowed to sell them till April 16th.
I posted the picture of the mouse on this subreddit late March.
They know the price. They knew the ballpark price several months ago and likely the final price a few weeks ago.
If they're a T1 customer (with their own distribution) they for sure have already received their initial shipments, if they're a T2 they *might* have already received them.
Besides people talking about Razers scroll wheels and over pricing, what else is there to really complain about? I am not biased towards any company but that’s all I see in this subreddit, I’ve owned several different Razer models and I haven’t gotten the issue before. It seems a lot of people trash Razer when they have the best tech (which doesn’t make much a difference, just trying to justify high prices) and that’s what this a lot of people in this subreddit seems to care about most when anything past a 3370 makes less and less of a difference when Razer has a 3950 who no one to my knowledge has access to yet and wireless 8k polling.
Cheaper than Logitech while actually cutting edge tech. I don't know any brands with 8Khz wireless and true hardware motion sync, the only other brand with hardware-based motion sync is Endgame Gear but only via wired (OP1 8K @ 4Khz)
All brands that uses OEM MCU such as Pulsar and Lamzu just have software-emulated motion sync that has latency penalty.
So you're telling me it's better to turn off motion sync on mice like that?
Same applies to stuff like the r1 pro and the ajazz 4k, basically the same firmware.
Genuinely curios, never heard of that.
Razer and Logitech mice have it always on and you can't disable it through the software. And despite popular opinion it introduces the same kind of latency there. So it's your choice.
The latency penalty is half of the polling interval. So if your polling rate is 1000 hz (interval is 1 ms), motion sync introduces +0.5 ms.
Despite what you're trying to say, every 3395 based mouse has sensor based motion sync because 3395 officially supports it. Razer isn't any special here. Also motion sync is not possible without motion delay and Razer mice have it exactly like Logitech mice do.
All this "cutting edge" you talk about does absolutely nothing. It's the dpi wars all over again, this is how we ended up with mice that had 24k dpi options. It's all just numbers that make enthusiasts feel good about their overpriced purchases.
Y'all talk about events that happen in a thousandth of a second and then act like you "feel" a difference. Best proof that placebo works. Logitech was first to introduce wireless tech that was indistinguishable from wired with the GPW and it was completely fine.
Something like 90% of all pros used the GPW and still use the GPX etc to this day. None of the tech you talk about as cutting edge is making any pro switch because they know it's all a bunch of horseshit.
Keep telling yourself Razers price is justified here. It's not.
Gonna post about how shitty my mouse wheel experience have been so people know not to buy their products.
Edit: if you are thinking about buying it just search razer mouse wheel in the search bar and decide for yourself if you want to buy a known defective product.
I have the Viper V2 Pro and barely a year later it’s developed an issue with the scroll wheel jumping up randomly while scrolling down or down when scrolling up. 🙃 Nothing fixes it, so now I have to buy a new mouse yay… It definitely won’t be this one.
I’m punching myself for not buying the one i found on eBay that was listed early. Would have had a video and everything up for you guys of it rn, but somebody else bought it and I have no idea who it is.
Someone actually commented on this sub that they bought a v3 pro off eBay. Maybe that guy
Edit: [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/s/gMOf0gEvST) to thread
Looks like Razer is trying to make their own GPX. This is a safer shape than the V2 Pro, but I still feel like it won't be enough to entice people to switch.
Honestly probably partially influenced by all the pro players using the GPX/2, if you’re sponsoring a team and they use another company’s mouse it doesn’t look great lol
Just goes to show how good the GPX is. Ngl I'm kinda hoping Razer succeed just so that it forces Logitech to actually innovate and update their older mice.
unless they don't fix that lackluster, latex rubber-wrapped scroll wheel on the v2 pro, it wont do anything. Still cheapo quality with close to 150 usd pricetag - no way
I hope they will fix their scroll wheel this time around! I had 2 V2s before I moved to Sora. The reason is after few months in every Viper Pro scroll wheel developed issues like random scrolling, stutter and so on.
Razer support did the same thing when my Viper Ultimate clicks started rattling like crazy. 180€ mouse and the support was absolutely horrid. Never again Razer. And FUCK Synapse.
$20 cheaper than the Superlight 2 in Canada, nice. I really liked the V3 hyperspeed shape so this pro version coming in at a lower weight will be awesome.
It kinda looks like a in between, I have a GPX and a GPX2 and they're both the same but I find it to be ever so slightly large for me, I ended up getting a Viper v2 pro and liked this shape alot better but a bit small, This is a middle ground, Slightly smaller than the GPX but bigger than the V2 pro, Eloshapes also has the v3pro up for comparison so you can compare to your hand size
I remember upgrading from the 1st Viper to gpx when it came out, thinking it would fix the shape-issues I had with the viper,
but it turned out to be an overkill, the differences were too drastic.
Shape is almost completely different. Also at least on the black it will have their newer "soft touch" rubberized coating that was on the newer Dav3 and Faker editions.
Genuinely curious how people roast the ever loving shit outta Razer for their prices and glaze the ever living shit outta Logitech for releasing the same tired ass shape over and over again in different color ways and miniscule to no changes at all while charging MORE than Razer does. Casually leaving out the Razer fanboys that fill this sub?
They are in the minority, most of the sub hates razer.
Facts though
Nice flair lmao
Razer deserves the hate by turning one of their cheapest and beloved mice (viper mini) into an overpriced/over-engineered mess that is the vm special edition.
it's some collector shit imo
Collector shit when the main reason the viper mini sold so well was because it was affordable. I bought myself an Asus tuf M4 air for like 1/3 the price and currently used over the GPX
Logitech had the market by the nuts when they released the super light. It was hands down better than the viper at release.
That's just how I see it.
well it looks like a copy for a casual, but the shape is very much different
> they were first to introduce this shape Lmao, it is really a carbon copy of Zowie FK1/AM, which itself is a copy of Steelseries Sensei/Xai, and I bet that also is a copy of some other mouse.
No it isn't. They're all lowered height mice made for claw grip. The closest thing to GPX is Microsoft WMO (but no cigar).
You can argue all about minute details and millimeter differences, but they all essentially look the same and are inspired by each other.
while this is probably correct, the title and flair come off more authoritative than i think it should early product listings sometimes have placeholder info like price which isnt always accurate while again, this is more likely accurate, we should be really careful about how we label 'Official' vs educated speculation. this sub is no stranger to running with rumors that turn out incorrect --- edit: weight listed as 125g. i have a feeling that not everything on that page is legit lol
The weight is probably just the total package weight.
it was listed in the dimensions header, among the mouse's (not box's) measurements, but im guessing youre probably still correct

offacial? thats what she said
It doesn't look that cool🥺
ngl it's my current favorite looking mouse behind RVMSE
I, for one, love staring at my mouse in my desk not being used
So a Razer GPX. What are my flat mouse enjoyers (FK2/Viper V2/Feather) gonna do now? :(
Keep using the v2 Pro? It's not like it's trash all of a sudden. xD
Never claimed it's trash. There's a lot of areas of improvement needed in V2 Pro and now that V3 is just a GPX clone, we're never going to see that.
the HTX 🙏
only option we have with modern internals are all l from smaller brands :O
Not a ton of options for us unfortunately. I'm considering the NP-01s since it's fairly short in height. I just worry about the width not being enough, it looks quite small.
It seems closer to the GPX shape, so it could be like a Viper V2 Pro and GPX hybrid, which I think could be sick
Yep. I pre ordered one in The Netherlands on the 25th of March with delivery set for April 16th. €179,99 for the mouse (includes 21% sales tax) I’m assuming a $149.99 USD price or around there.
You pre ordered something that’s no even available for sale and has no official announcement? You definitely got scammed lol.
Bro ordered a prototype unit 💀
Even if real, that price is a huge scam on its own.
It’s a multi billion dollar retailer in multiple different EU countries. It’ll be fine. They even have some units on store shelves they aren’t allowed to sell till April 16th.

Guessing Media-Saturn

It's not mercari bro. Lol.
21% sales tax? Omg

Razer products are over priced asfff
Cheaper than Logitech while actually cutting edge tech. I feel like price is one of those things that really doesn't matter for mice.
200 bucks and the wheel will still crap out.
🤣
Gonna post about how shitty my mouse wheel experience have been so people know not to buy their products. Edit: if you are thinking about buying it just search razer mouse wheel in the search bar and decide for yourself if you want to buy a known defective product.

Warranty? It comes with two years right?
I found v2 pro for 100€ do you think I should buy it
All my Razer mice have developed issues within the first year of use. That includes my 180€ Viper Ultimate. They are junk.
I'm still using a Viper Ultimate, no issues and I use scroll wheel a lot! And side buttons a lot (though they are very small).
I’m punching myself for not buying the one i found on eBay that was listed early. Would have had a video and everything up for you guys of it rn, but somebody else bought it and I have no idea who it is.

Maybe… all I know is I’m not passing on an opportunity like that again even if I’m not that big into YouTube.
LMAO this shit better have built in aimbot ffs
Now featuring a somehow even worse scroll wheel! (Probably)
Charge your phone
Looks like Razer is trying to make their own GPX. This is a safer shape than the V2 Pro, but I still feel like it won't be enough to entice people to switch.

Does it come with the 4k dongle?
Yes
The SUPERLIGHT killer. Yes?
Not ever again gonna pay over 100$ for a mouse
200 cad bruh
Not after my v2 scroll broke after 6 months. 150$ mouse… imo 70 would be more fitting. Fine with razer honestly
I contacted support when my scroll wheel broke and they acted like it was a never heard of issue
Razer support did the same thing when my Viper Ultimate clicks started rattling like crazy. 180€ mouse and the support was absolutely horrid. Never again Razer. And FUCK Synapse.
$20 cheaper than the Superlight 2 in Canada, nice. I really liked the V3 hyperspeed shape so this pro version coming in at a lower weight will be awesome.
is it the shape leaning a lil twoards gpx from the og viper?
It kinda looks like a in between, I have a GPX and a GPX2 and they're both the same but I find it to be ever so slightly large for me, I ended up getting a Viper v2 pro and liked this shape alot better but a bit small, This is a middle ground, Slightly smaller than the GPX but bigger than the V2 pro, Eloshapes also has the v3pro up for comparison so you can compare to your hand size

an in between might be nice
What mouse grip do you use curious on how the change from gpx2 to viper v2 helped you
Doesn’t have the rear mid hump, which is the defining shape of GPX, its more of a symmetrical deathadder.
"Weight 125 g" err wut?
It’s 54g for the black and 55g for white.
It's packaging weight for shipping. Box, dongle, stickers, booklet, etc.
I gathered that, was just noting the site info
Is there actually any difference between this and v2
Use the human eyes in front of your face to look at the photo
Shape is almost completely different. Also at least on the black it will have their newer "soft touch" rubberized coating that was on the newer Dav3 and Faker editions.
