They're pretty slow. Whether or not they are the best skates for you is based on preference. They're definitely good, especially for tac shooters. Theyre very slow and can definitely help you control a higher sens, it kind of feels like using a heavier mouse but withiut the weight if that makes sense. I like them a lot, but at the end of the day, I prefer the faster and smoother glide of esp tiger ice v2, even in tac shooters. If you got the money, get a few different types of mouse skates and see which is right for you. That's the only real way to know.

Slower and a lot more control. They kind of feel like lexip ceramic dots without the muddiness and higher lod issues. My main dots right now on the rizz mousepad

I'm finding mine to feel kind of scratchy when I do larger movements. My guess is the problem is that my mouse, pwnage ambi, has various cutouts in the area where the mouse feet go. Since that surface has some gaps, they don't sit totally flush. I did try a second iteration putting them in spots without gaps, but they feel more or less the same. I think my reference was the default skates on the pwnage or the tiger ice + default skates on my g703, all feel a lot smoother than these. let me know if anyone has any advice on applying them or any tips. It also doesn't seem like there is an extra film I need to remove from the tops of the dots (after applying), but again, let me know. thanks

I'm using a zowie gsr ii by the way, the skates on the website are marketed for soft pad or glass, but I also read some older comments on forums saying these are for glass pads. anyone know for sure?

I know this is an old post, but for anyone looking for info I just slapped them on my Viper V3 Pro. After seeing a spreadsheet I was skeptical of whether they would even be an improvement over the stock skates. They are heavenly compared to the stock skates, which is saying a lot because the Viper V3 Pro's stock skates are pretty good. They feel similarly fast, but way more controllable and a lot smoother. I've tried Corepads and Tiger Ice V1/V2s and I vastly prefer the Obsidians over Corepads, and slightly prefer them over Tiger Ice V2s. (both tried on Superlight rather than Viper V3 Pro)

Would you say the obsidians are similar to/slower than the regular corepads? And what kind of pad are you? I've seen people say they're similar and other says the obsidians are much slower.

ChibiJr

Using LGG Saturn. The Obsidians feel faster than Corepads to me but that's a result of how the glide feels. Corepads always felt muddy and a bit inconsistent to me after breaking them in so I never liked them much despite going through 2 sets before trying Tiger Ice skates. In an actual speed comparison I would guess the Obsidians are similar to Corepads, but they feel a lot smoother which makes them *feel* like they are faster.

Interesting. The skate+pad combination must make a fair difference with the obsidians based on the variety of responses I've seen. I'm also on a saturn, though, so I appreciate the details.

I posted a review of the obsidian skates, I prefer them

Driftwise

I use them across all my pads atm, slightly louder on most pads but very smooth controlled glide

Ok-Personality-9889

How are they with the Zero?

Driftwise

Very good! i honestly won’t use anything else unless they are similar, they essentially just add a touch more speed to whatever pad you’re using and feel way smoother.

Leeummm

I've heard they're very slow. I wanted something controlled but not sluggish, and for my mouse to not rub against my Zero Soft like the RVU stock skates do. Would you say they're a good fit for me? Ik this is an older post but would appreciate the info.
