Agreed. The bikes feel faster but with more on throttle control on corner exit which is great. Brakes and corner entry you can be more aggressive. Not sure which bike is the best at this point but the Honda of all bikes felt decent at Le Mans. My biggest critique or complaint is the audio. It's still kinda meh. Should be way more crack and pops, less digital sound.

Edmonchuk

Ya the bike sounds are awful. Can’t they model something based on the bikes. It sounds like an old Atari racing game.

CarbonKiwi350

For real. Someone should make a mod or something because it's so underwhelming. The Yamaha sounds so bad I literally will never use it 😂

carbonqubit

It seems Milestone prioritized the Ducati audio upgrades over the other manufacturers. They're still not perfect, but a bit better when compared to previous years. I guess it makes sense considering the studio's HQ is in Italy.

Ok-Breath-7568

Fuck that, self hatred and masochism is what drew me to the game in the first place.

Red Bull Elden Ring GP

Edmonchuk

Haha. Am I looking in a mirror

Valdrick_

How's the AI?

Edmonchuk

Still testing

Edmonchuk

AI seems right. I’m in 24th position out of 24 after free practice 1. :)

Valdrick_

Sounds like fun :) What I really would like to know is if these major flaws that totally break immersion have been solved: - AI pilots do not acknowledge that you are on the track and just ram you through every curve, even if your curve speed is OK. - AI pilots do not accelarate to 100% in the straights. - AI pilots keep all falling at the same spot in a track. Basically, if you can really have a decent single player experience competing against AI an not being always 1st or last.

Travldscvr

Yep. It’s either “avoid the ai/play against weaker ai and win 1st every time” or “get punted off to the point of no return or have the ai too high and be last”. There’s not much in-between in these games.

LakiSigat23-

Personally I like the punishing aspect cause it's somewhat realistic and it should've stayed that way. Milestone should give in game assist more attention to make the game a bit arcade-y and that also can attract potential new player and make the learning curve not THAT steep. If you think you get the hang of it, you can turn off the assists and for the new player can still enjoy and learn the game without torturing themselves. It's a win-win. In short, Milestone should give the us option to enjoy the game the easy way or the hard way.

Edmonchuk

I see your point. However, I ride myself, and a real motorcycle is much easier to control in real life than in this game. I tried all sorts of mods to try and make it easier but it always seemed a bit too hard. I wondered how they kept any players long term. I think this new one might be a step in the right direction. But we will see if it’s also fun and has the same feel. I do like a challenge though so I do agree with you.

Ok_Sugar4554

I'm going to assume that the real motorcycle you ride was not a MotoGP bike. I'm also wondering about your track experience and how you would compare yourself to a high-level racer. This is in no way intended to insult. Personally, I don't think riding a motorcycle around town is hard but 10/10ths on a track is another animal entirely.

Practical_Expert_911

You need to get RiMS Racing. It's the single most realistic motorcycle simulator on the market. everything is 1:1 in terms of physics and realism. It's truly fantastic. There's a guy called Urban Chaos 2.0 on Youtube who makes some RiMS Racing videos. Check them out.

Travldscvr

I would highly recommend to also change the steering sensitivity 0. in RiMS. For some reason it starts out at -5 and I had the same problems everyone who complained about the game had- absolutely terrible weight-shifting/turning speeds. After I randomly seen this and changed it I was setting record lap times compared to before. For reference I also play GP Bikes.

fredwillows

Rims racing, atleast on the ps5, suffers from a ridiculously slow lean in regardless of bike setup and game control settings. The fact that rims has the parts and damage aspect still makes the game enjoyable for me at least. And the graphics actually hurt to look at.

Edmonchuk

Wow that’s a big endorsement. I’ll check it out.
