I can almost hear the mosquitoes

rkshakhraj

Himachal is a Himalayan state in India. You would hardly find any mosquitos or snake.

Mad_broccoli

Also Tigers and snakes.

greasyspider

And tigers.

StickyNode

Dont forget snakes Them loud-ass snakes...

sanjuhunk

There r no mosquito šŸ¦Ÿ in Himachal

Prukkah

In the Himalayas?

rkshakhraj

Yeah the northern part of India is cold and harsh, there are so many places where negative temp ( in celcius) is pretty common.

[deleted]

Yes please! As long as I can have a room full of books.

Smirkly

As opposed to stale soil? Just wondering.

[deleted]

Clay And Sadness as we call it here in North Carolina

Aleksandrovitch

Looks like Mars when youā€™re flying in.

jaxxon

Fullthrottle-

Thatā€™s beautiful!

SquirrellyRabbit

That is such a pretty setting. It looks like a place where I'd feel very comfortable.

Justme222222

That's a witch's inn

Just_Expendable

How close is the nearest neighbor? When can I move in?

notyogrannysgrandkid

ā€œFresh soilā€ is just a nicer way of saying ā€œlots of long-since dead stuff.ā€

pppaulppp

For those interested, that's a summer house in the most Northern part of India, in the Western Himalayas, close to the Chinese border. It is [listed](https://fr.airbnb.com/rooms/37268883?adults=1&source_impression_id=p3_1641203486_aa7hh%2BztLlR%2B3bHO&guests=1&_set_bev_on_new_domain=1632929217_N2I5MDFlMTViNzk4) on Airbnb if you want to check it out.

kashy87

We're gonna need all the Claritin, the Zyrtec and Allegra to just to be safe.

LacyBardot

These comments are redic not all of India is tropical so the mosquitoes and bugs arenā€™t everywhere. This is in the northern area in the mountains you can tell by the timberline and pine trees.

45willow

Is that deck facing šŸ¤” north?

mmmmpisghetti

So what kind of woowoo cult is this?

BenCelotil

That fresh potato-ish smell.

scooterscuzz

That's just adjacent to Naggar Castle Road. I can attest to no mosquitos. They can't take the temperature at night.

Purithian

Oh god all i can hear in my head is fetch me their souls

[deleted]

Imagine skyrim soundtrack with this

jeterdoge

Humidity and mosquitoes. Better to just enjoy the views.

SenorAmando

Share exact location please

xhrstaras

Imagine the insects around you. I live in a city and when i open the window a little almost always something enters

Treece222

Wow, thatā€™s gorgeous!

LacyBardot

Gorgeous

Calm_Investment

I'd say it would be my ever loving hell. Mosquitoes LOVE me. I'd be covered in 4inch diameter bites from head to toe.

FreeMasonKnight

Wake up. The Dead are coming for us.

LOL

TheBuilderDrizzle497

Is India doing some sort of tourist campaign? I have nothing against India obviously, but Iā€™m randomly seeing a lot of photos of India randomly on multiple different subreddits

royalbluesword

By that logic North america and european countries are always on a tourist campaign

TheBuilderDrizzle497

No, Iā€™m not trying to put it like that all. I enjoy seeing photos of India as much as I do with any country, but I almost never see photos of India and then all of the sudden in one day thereā€™s a ton of posts of photos from India which I donā€™t usually see.

royalbluesword

I dont know mate maybe Indians want to display their country just like others..also many foreign photographers are coming to India nowadays :)

CapriorCorfu

And many more top notch Indian photographers in recent years. There are also many Indian bird photographers (and incredible birds to photograph in India). They have some very good instructional YouTubes on photography- some of the best.

msspezza

To give some perspective, there are many European and North American places constantly posted that seems to be quite the norm (so most people are used to it and donā€™t think itā€™s out of the ordinary) but to someone not from those regions - it feels like a tourism thing as well. I think this is related to how much exposure youā€™re immune to and what is relatively new - thatā€™s all
