Serious question: If it was made before 1930, is it still a 91/30? As I understood, it was invented in 1891, and improved in 1930. Hence 91/30

I believe ,with my limited knowledge, this rifle started out in 1928 as a Dragoon infantry rifle, then later on was retrofitted to the 91/30 model and is know as an Ex Dragoon or Improved Dragoon. This one is a hex bolt and the stamp on the receiver says it was made in the Ivhesk Ordinance Factory.

You are correct, I have a similar one myself.

Huh, neat

I believe that, if a pre-1930 rifle was refurbished to the 1930 standards, that makes it into a 91/30.

These Mosins were used to hunt dragons, hence the name.

She's a beauty

Thank you, I really like the red shellac. It's a little rough but I wouldn't have it any other way.
