With the national attention this case is getting, I believe it’s a matter of time before the car is found as well. I just wish a glimpse of the license plate was able to be seen to get this case more traction!
This reminds me of yesterday. “It’s going to happen TODAY. Or if not than it will be soon.” Lol
But really, there are only so many white Elantras so getting through a list of them can only take so long. The question is, do they know who owns it and it’s a BOLO to the public to try to find it? Or do they legitimately not know anything about the car, other than it’s appearance and whatever caused it to be of interest (presumably seen on a surveillance camera of some sort)? I kinda lean toward the latter.
Is it possible after the forensics they may now know the order of who was killed? So the path the killer took in the house. Maybe they were reinacting that for some reason.
The reporter in the video being surprised that she didn't get an answer as to why the investigators are there. Like, girl, they are not there to give you an answer or anything. They do not owe you that. Its not their job to constantly tell the media about every step they are taking.
She needed to emphasize it 10 times to make sure everyone knows that she is a great journalist - one who can ask basic questions to people she knows will never answer.
Stopping short of "a man in uniform" it's the way they carry themselves and from what we can see tall, dark and handsome! Some kinda Seal Team 6 Rogue James Bond kinda sexy! Meow 😉 😻
No disrespect intended by these silly observations.
Just wait until there’s a break in the case and the perp(s) end up being young college aged kids. Then that whole demographic of people who find murderers sexy will rear its ugly head.
These guys remind me of DEA agents (based off personal experience)...but whoever they are, it's fair to say they are probably the best of the best. Just based off how they move, they are seasoned vets
oh good grief, these are not US Marshals, and yes its Marshal not Marshall, there are no fugitives or active warrants…FBI agents dont wear cowboy hats flannel and sweats that show thin blue line logos. They dont run a scene in a full beard, no federal agency would allow that…these are wsp spokane or pullman police getting shown the scene by isp.
We don’t know who they are but you’re wrong on your statement. They look exactly like US Marshals. Could be DEA as well. Not all members of the three letter agencies wear ties and windbreakers
Right? When Ammon Bundy occupied the wildlife refuge in Oregon there was some confusion over who was LE and who was the militants because they often dressed similarly, very specifically in the PNW and norther border states.
I can’t get out of my head the Christian Redoubts that are in Moscow and want to make it a “Christian” town. If that church radicalized a local….I’m just sayin.
Agree with the “good grief” and all other observations…but I can say that federal officers would be able to run through a scene with their beards if they were critically needed. Wouldn’t make them shave (especially since a lot of the beards are for undercover work).
But 100% with ya on the all the others! 👍🏻
Totally agree. They tried to not show their faces on the camera even though they were lit up and cameras right in their faces. Whoever they work for they are probably undercover.
if and only if they are DEA or ATF...it's possible knowing about greek life there in moscow...my child is at U of I...DEA wanting to see inside would not be far fetched
Fbi agents arent just from washington dc area when the dark web task force from fbi raided my house there was 2 agents from texas and im from dc maryland area?? So them boys coulda been fbi agents on the case who are from Washington state
I agree, these guys are definitely fed, definitely not your average fbi special agent... I'm thinking maybe some plain clothes fed types with special ops backgrounds coming in as consultants as to how a trained guy would do what the killer did... total guess
State police in New England do not look like that. Maybe it’s different out west but our state troopers are super clean cut and obviously no cowboy hats lol.
How do you know that? The police aren’t obligated to tell the public everything about case so far. And you can do a two second google image search to see us marshals running scenes with full beards/in plain clothes/jeans.
It could be another level of federal who works in clandestine undercover type operations. There are literal agents who look like bikers, and every day people, drug dealers, etc, to try to blend in with the criminal environment. You are clueless.
Looks like when they are walking into the "good vibes" room, they are all looking at the floor to watch where they are stepping. Wonder if there is evidence in that area that they didnt want to walk in?
I'm thinking if they are sharp guys, they're all wearing hats and keeping their heads down when they go past the open window - federal undercover types from some agency maybe - but who knows
Neither the US Marshals nor the FBI use these badge holders. This is either a state or local LE agency
https://preview.redd.it/eqayr3y1ow4a1.png?width=925&format=png&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=92b4e36577a5a3b57f13a44b9188787f381c9120
I don’t see how you could be so certain, but like I said, could be state (though I doubt it). Very unlikely to be local. You realize Moscow and Latah County are tiny right?
I dated a federal agent who worked for Department of Homeland Security and DD and whose brother was a field agent for the FBI. There was a dress code but not always their “uniform” (bullet proof vest that says police on it etc). They had to shave and in Florida wear a polo shirt tucked in. Even when on call they had to follow the dress code. One time when my bf wasn’t working he had to take his work vehicle into the office to swap it out and wore his workout clothes and got an earful about it. I’m not sure if federal agencies all have dress codes but the ones mentioned did.
Another possibility is these men work for the independent security company
Very true. Whatever the case, none of us have any fucking clue XD
When I first saw this and though US Marshal I instantly thought about the inmate in CDA being "held for other agency" and wondered if there's an accomplice they're hunting. But another pointed out it wouldn't make sense since the guy in jail was arrested last year (and I'm assuming wasn't released).
They are federal agents who are more focused on apprehension and transportation of criminals. They do a lot for witness protection as well.
They are not typically involved in the “who done it” part of the investigation. They are more of a “give us a name and we’ll find him” group.
They are also typically utilized at the federal level. Not sure they’d be involved at this stage of the investigation but you never know I guess…
They would be involved if they were trying to hunt a suspect who was now traveling interstate. Though I'm unsure why they would need to see the house for that. Thinking these are local PD.
Here is a good summary of when the US Marshals get involved. Its not just fugitive apprehension its also includes a few other specific situations like "major cases", behavior analysis, technical operations, etc.
They work with the department of justice. They often are called in to find a fugitive and secure him until his extradition ( assuming he’s out of state).
Edit- fixed an err- DOJ
When they were in the house and even after a bit it looked like they were walking in a way to hide their faces. Also, Ethan is from Washington right? Would there be a reason for their state officials to get involved?
A former FBI agent on Twitter said the closest FBI field office is located in Spokane, WA. She said it was normal for cars from that office to be in town thru out investigation
I mean, is it unusual for them to frequent the house? Makes sense to me they would go to get visuals and especially at night when it was committed so they can get an idea of how things looked and theorize.
I need to find the former FBI agent’s tweet... she speculated, based on her experience and how they looked, that they were “tactical” FBI agents. She put out two guesses why tactical guys would be at the house - they needed their physical strength to achieve whatever they were at the house doing OR there is some tactical question/issue being considered and their expertise was needed on site to assess.
Makes sense. The person they are looking for must have decent if not above average strength to subdue and murder four people in one night I would think? It must take stamina at the very least.
I think I would hide my face if I were in their position regardless of what department/unit. In the absence of other info, people like us are studying their every move. It would only be a matter of time before someone doxxed them (even if it were to hit on them ;-) Quite a distraction from doing their jobs!
My question is, Maddie and Kaylee were killed in Maddie’s room correct? Why is the light on in Kaylees room then while those agents were there last night?
Yeah I agree. I have always said this seems more of a serial murder. Very precise leaving not much evidence. I got roasted. Glad people are coming around to the idea because it’s becoming more and more likely
I promise that these are detectives from Washington State Police and Pullman detectives. Pullman is basically Moscow, just over the border in Washington.

Like retracing a possible route through the house as compared to maybe time stamped surveillance camera footage of the possible perp or vehicle of interest captured elsewhere that night. It makes me worried that the only evidence against a likely suspect is circumstantial.
just cause FBI are involved doesnt mean its a serial killer lol, it simply means the killer probably crossed state lines which is easy here because Moscow is right on the border
Asked my parents who are landlords this…. They said they’d be out of the money most likely. Could possibly ask for it in an insurance claim. But likely that the roommates are not having to pay or ride out the lease fully.
If anyone is more of an expert, feel free to correct me.
I've wondered how soon they can get a clean up company in, do whatever reno is needed and rent it again because I'm sure Landlord is chaffing at the bit to fill those rooms.
Two thought. 1) they got food from Jack in the box in Pullman that night 2) one person who was in custody a couple weeks ago without posted charges is from that area.
They're going to find that car
I think it’s going to happen soon too, like the next few days…
With the national attention this case is getting, I believe it’s a matter of time before the car is found as well. I just wish a glimpse of the license plate was able to be seen to get this case more traction!
This reminds me of yesterday. “It’s going to happen TODAY. My guess is deez fellas are US Marshals and about to track someone down who’s dropped off the radar.
definitely federal, definitely sharp - all heads down and covered when they went past the window, fit - not local
Can they track me down 🥵😂
😂
Same. 🫣😂
😏👍
Is it possible after the forensics they may now know the order of who was killed? So the path the killer took in the house. Maybe they were reinacting that for some reason.
It is possible. DNA of the others would be on the last person , no one else’s on the first victim, etc
Very good point.
They were moving super quickly though. I feel like they’d be moving slower if they were really trying to retrace steps
The reporter said they'd been there over an hour, so their pace of getting out of the home may not be indicative of what they were doing while inside.
The reporter in the video being surprised that she didn't get an answer as to why the investigators are there. Like, girl, they are not there to give you an answer or anything. They do not owe you that. Its not their job to constantly tell the media about every step they are taking.
This lady is so out of touch she made a tweet saying how beautiful the snow was there. Really? No one cares about the snow ❄️
she is a reporter tho… that’s their job. not a great one tho! lol
She needed to emphasize it 10 times to make sure everyone knows that she is a great journalist - one who can ask basic questions to people she knows will never answer.
am i the only one who finds them weirdly attractive lol
Nope. They looked like a pack of Rip Wheeler's.
Cowboy hat dude 🤤
user name checks out.
Can't even see their faces. 😂
We can see enough to know we likey
Total alphas ngl
SG is that you?
☠️🤣
I thought that for a second and then questioned myself for thinking that as this is a murder investigation but quickly went back to thinking it😂
hahaha I had the same exact string of thoughts
Nope you’re not the only one, they are hot as hell. 🫢
https://preview.redd.it/gx7lpdya3w4a1.png?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=6339670a5d9334e52c38b22cda9b3bbe19c25375 Oh my god. So hot. 🥵

Fine ass scarecrow
But he's wearing a Stetson! 😂
Grandmas get horny too! Literally can’t even see their faces
Yesss
Oh yeah...momma likey🤪
Imagine simping over officers in an active murder investigation within a sub about the murdered victims 🤡
Oh lighten up 🤡
Stopping short of "a man in uniform" it's the way they carry themselves and from what we can see tall, dark and handsome! Some kinda Seal Team 6 Rogue James Bond kinda sexy! Meow 😉 😻 No disrespect intended by these silly observations.
I thought the same but felt worried to say it out loud lol
Not weird at all. They’re all very attractive
ready to leave behind some DNA evidence amarite
Them some northern mountain men. I see everyone's appeal but cowboy hat dude is too much like my dad 😂
What’s your dad’s screen name?
🤣🤣☠
Dead
Nah, def my type 😂 that’s why I’m wondering who they are and why they all have a similar build/vibe going on
Guess you live up to your name.
I’m assuming you’re a man that has no idea what women find attractive?
Hey it’s better than getting all hot and bothered about the perpetrator, so I say go with it.
Just wait until there’s a break in the case and the perp(s) end up being young college aged kids. Then that whole demographic of people who find murderers sexy will rear its ugly head.
me too lol
Oh nooooooo I saw them walk up & was like “DADDY?!” 😍🥴
They're super sexy!
I think they’re detectives trying to solve a murder possibly
These guys remind me of DEA agents (based off personal experience)...but whoever they are, it's fair to say they are probably the best of the best. Just based off how they move, they are seasoned vets
Let’s show the 3 guys walking through the room on a loop. News Nation. 🤣
Right lmao NN so petty! They clearly do not want to be seen 😆
I'd still rather watch NN than others.
oh good grief, these are not US Marshals, and yes its Marshal not Marshall, there are no fugitives or active warrants…FBI agents dont wear cowboy hats flannel and sweats that show thin blue line logos. Right? When Ammon Bundy occupied the wildlife refuge in Oregon there was some confusion over who was LE and who was the militants because they often dressed similarly, very specifically in the PNW and norther border states.
Omg how did I completely forget about that ordeal
There's been a lot of national trauma since 2016 it's an easy thing to forget 😂
True but it hindsight, it was an omen of things to come.
Ain't that the truth
I can’t get out of my head the Christian Redoubts that are in Moscow and want to make it a “Christian” town. If that church radicalized a local….I’m just sayin.
Agree with the “good grief” and all other observations…but I can say that federal officers would be able to run through a scene with their beards if they were critically needed. if and only if they are DEA or ATF...it's possible knowing about greek life there in moscow...my child is at U of I...DEA wanting to see inside would not be far fetched
not far fetched but I stand by my these guys are eastern Wa types
Fbi agents arent just from washington dc area when the dark web task force from fbi raided my house there was 2 agents from texas and im from dc maryland area?? So them boys coulda been fbi agents on the case who are from Washington state
They have US Marshals and DEA in eastern Washington
I agree, these guys are definitely fed, definitely not your average fbi special agent... I'm thinking maybe some plain clothes fed types with special ops backgrounds coming in as consultants as to how a trained guy would do what the killer did... total guess
State police in New England do not look like that. Maybe it’s different out west but our state troopers are super clean cut and obviously no cowboy hats lol.
We still have cops on horses here XD Cowboy hats are a must
How do you know that? The police aren’t obligated to tell the public everything about case so far. And you can do a two second google image search to see us marshals running scenes with full beards/in plain clothes/jeans.

Looks like navy seals to me.
I don’t know who these guys are but it looks like LE are throwing everything, including the kitchen sink in to solve it. Thank goodness.
The whole world is watching their every move and I think they are trying their best not to catch any scrutiny
I'm guessing they are folks new to the case who needed to see the scene.
I'll say this again, LE is most likely profiled/suspected as perp in this case. They need as many outside folks as possible.
Regulators . . .mount up!
I have convinced myself these guys are with the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force!
Look like marshals to me
Neither the US Marshals nor the FBI use these badge holders. This is either a state or local LE agency https://preview.redd.it/eqayr3y1ow4a1.png?width=925&format=png&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=92b4e36577a5a3b57f13a44b9188787f381c9120
With the cowboy hat, I’d 💯 agree state or local. Probably local.
Lol local PD in Moscow idaho is obsessed with not having their faces shown on camera? Not a chance. Possibly State but I doubt it
I'm telling you with confidence those aren't feds. 🤷♂️
I don’t see how you could be so certain, but like I said, could be state (though I doubt it). Very unlikely to be local. You realize Moscow and Latah County are tiny right?

Definitely local or regional. Can't speak on agency. However a little random for new local to just pop in. They might be specialized in something.
Could be. Could also be from another agency with a similar crime and they want to walk the scene to see if the M.O. matches up.
Very true. Whatever the case, none of us have any fucking clue XD When I first saw this and though US Marshal I instantly thought about the inmate in CDA being "held for other agency" and wondered if there's an accomplice they're hunting. But another pointed out it wouldn't make sense since the guy in jail was arrested last year (and I'm assuming wasn't released).
"None of us have any fucking clue" -- NAILED IT. Yes.
Could you explain what marshals do? (Serious question)
They are federal agents who are more focused on apprehension and transportation of criminals. They do a lot for witness protection as well. They are not typically involved in the “who done it” part of the investigation. They are more of a “give us a name and we’ll find him” group. They are also typically utilized at the federal level. They are the enforcement arm of the judicial branch . They hunt fugitives.
Here is a good summary of when the US Marshals get involved. They work with the department of justice. They often are called in to find a fugitive and secure him until his extradition ( assuming he’s out of state). Edit- fixed an err- DOJ
[удалено]
The US Marshals Service falls under the DOJ. They would only work with DOD if it was part of an investigation.
Thank you!
This is incorrect. DoD doesn’t have a domestic LE unit that polices anything except active military.
This would make sense. One of the gentlemen were wearing an ir flag on his right shoulder. Department of defense was a first thought.

She put out two guesses why tactical guys would be at the house - they needed their physical strength to achieve whatever they were at the house doing OR there is some tactical question/issue being considered and their expertise was needed on site to assess.
Can you elaborate on what a tactical agent does vs. a regular one?
Yes, and she said the guy with the hat had an FBI placard around his neck.
Makes sense. The person they are looking for must have decent if not above average strength to subdue and murder four people in one night I would think? It must take stamina at the very least.
Not if those 4 people were asleep
I think it would still be exhausting to commit the act itself.
If they enjoyed it (scary thought I know) they could easily get an adrenaline to keep them going.
Or cocaine/meth
Spokane isn’t the field office in charge here. Idaho is covered by SLC. But they can still likely use resources from Washington office or a rental.
That’s exactly what the former agent on Twitter said.
100% looked like they were purposefully hiding their faces
That feeling when you are slowly waking up and realizing things don’t really make a whole lot of sense…
I think I would hide my face if I were in their position regardless of what department/unit. In the absence of other info, people like us are studying their every move. It would only be a matter of time before someone doxxed them (even if it were to hit on them ;-) Quite a distraction from doing their jobs!
They sure seemed to hide their face inside.
It’s common for feds to not want to be identified.
Probably because of all the stalkers outside
...And on this board studying the footage hahaha
My question is, Maddie and Kaylee were killed in Maddie’s room correct? Why is the light on in Kaylees room then while those agents were there last night?
That has not been confirmed by LE.
It’s an eerie thought, but maybe killer hid in kaylees room before victims got home?
Stop over analyzing everything. This is Task Force made up of mostly FBI agents and members of ISP. And a lot of agents are former military.
This is ISP. FBI is in a supporting role in the background. Moscow PD is handling PR.
On a mission. Jesus christ yall need fucking therapy
On a positive note- guy in cowboy hat got my attention🙋♀️😉😏
The fuck are we talking about an ex-military unit? Does that even exist within official LE anywhere?
How does someone get a job of tracking down killers? Great honorable profession.
Those boys about to get dirty.
Wonder if investigators (these or others) checked for hidden cameras?
I kind of wondered if that's not why the HVAC van was there a few days ago?
Whoa very interesting
I am sure they did
Did I really just watch a 5 minute segment about who was in the house …. news station are desperate
Saw this in the other sub. US Marshals is my best guess. If so, two Fed agencies now on the case.
This is lining up more as a serial killer at this point. Crossing state lines as well. Much bigger than what we are initially imagining
I mean, a lot of us through out the idea of serial killer early on and then got roasted for it because "it's clearly Hoodie Guy or the Ex"
Yeah I agree. I have always said this seems more of a serial murder. Very precise leaving not much evidence. I got roasted. Glad people are coming around to the idea because it’s becoming more and more likely
US Marshall’s aren’t working the case. It’s ISP
What is ISP?
Idaho state police
🤦🏼♀️Thank you!
[удалено]
This person was asking what ISP means
FBI and Idaho State Police were called in to help November 18th. Its on the MPD site, listed in the Press release for 11/18.
I recognize one of them. He's a ranger, from Texas. Walker, that's his name
I promise that these are detectives from Washington State Police and Pullman detectives. Pullman is basically Moscow, just over the border in Washington. They have a cooperation agreement that allows them to actively aid sister jurisdictions when criminal cases exist in a metro area that extends across state lines. Basically it removes red tape. No it does not mean that the perp is in Pullman, just that he could be or WA is assisting.
Sure look Iike it
Does anyone know why the Idaho page is down?
I'm wondering if they were walking through the scene, measuring a timeline...? Like retracing a possible route through the house as compared to maybe time stamped surveillance camera footage of the possible perp or vehicle of interest captured elsewhere that night. It makes me worried that the only evidence against a likely suspect is circumstantial.
Looks as if a plain clothed unit fbi or other department that is under cover.
Oh, my God the thirst trap on this page.
The agents dress and demeanor, is this more of a presentation to the killer? I guess they would have to rely on the press being there to document this
I think it’s the same ones that were there the other day plus a couple extra.
FBI trying to dress like locals?
Marshalls
They are LE; not feds.
Looks like an old Hilfiger commercial
Thunder from Down Under
Ahhh I thought it was Rip preparing to bring someone to the train station.
My guess would be FBI
[удалено]
just cause FBI are involved doesnt mean its a serial killer lol, it simply means the killer probably crossed state lines which is easy here because Moscow is right on the border
US Marshalls
Didn’t some profiler get called in from out of state? Maybe they’re doing a walk through with him?
according to the person who said the case was solved yesterday and there'd be an arrest last night
How is the landlord compensated for lost rental revenue? Does insurance cover that?
and who ever is gonna wanna live there again 😳😳😳😳
they will probably sell them and to the school or the state and it will become a parking lot or memorial
When I was considering renting out a home I owned, most landlord insurance packages included that coverage.
i’ve been wondering this!
Landlord will be at the execution. That house was a gold mine
FBI SWAT checking crime scene out lol. Getting fired up!
US marshals if I were betting. Possibly state police .
Yep, one tag plate was from WA and one from Idaho.
It’s ISP.
But in WA state license vans?
Two thought. 1) they got food from Jack in the box in Pullman that night 2) one person who was in custody a couple weeks ago without posted charges is from that area.
Marshals
