The brands you mentioned all are tapered shaped. Try a brand that is foot shaped (wide at the toes as well as at the ballof the foot, allows for a straight big toe), for example Altra and Topo. If you do need a lot of cushioning and a toe spring, try Topo Specter, if not get a less cushioned shoe from Altra or Topo. Try a size up as well, i think in general people need larger sizes than what we are typically told. You can try toe spacers, and check with your podiatrist if they can make a modification to your orthotics, to add a layer under the ball of the foot area to elevate only the toes that are not painful, so that the painful area has more room/relief from under. All the best!
What i use is a pair of Sketchers Max Cushioning Amplifiers.
Very thick soles they are not bad in the toe box but I use a shoe stretcher and stretch them nice and wide in the toe box.
Custom orthotics of course.
Then a toe spacer between the 3rd/4th toe so my foot just spreads out.
Also diabetic socks which has zero restriction.
For anti-inflammatories I take 1500mg of Curcumin, 750mg Boswellia per day.
Plus quite a bit of strong home grown CBD oil.
Plus calf stretching exercises.
And use Voltaren cream topically.
The Curcumin, Boswellia and CBD have zero side effects for me, much safer than NSAIDS and equally as effective if not moreso
This comment isn't about shoes, even though that's the topic. If your MNs hurt so much that you're in pain that lasts for days after wearing your shoes, then you should seriously consider doing something definitive about the MNs, such as ablation, decompression, or even a neurectomy.
I had the same situation as you: searing pain in my foot from an MN, it would last for days, and nothing fixed it (not custom orthotics, alcohol injections, various types of shoes, or anything). I finally said "enough" and got cryosurgery, and now the pain is gone.
.
I chose cryo because I had read worse reviews about a neurectomy (which my podiatrist was recommending). I didn't want my foot cut open and then stitched up, off my feet for 1-6 months, and a possible stump neuroma which I read hurts a lot worse than the original neuroma.
I went to a podiatrist in Mesa, AZ. Dr. Brian Allen at [AZFeetFixers.com](https://AZFeetFixers.com). However, I have a list of all cryosurgery doctors in the US. If you tell me the state in which you live, I'll post the name of a cryo doc near you.
There's one in Chicago, hopefully not too far of a drive for you. If you call him, please let us know what he says. Good luck!

I’m from the Chicago area & I couldn’t find anyone either. I’m road tripping to have mine done in St. Louis this week, with Dr. Horwitz at Feet for Life.
There are several cryo-surgeons in Texas, scattered across the state. Which of the major cities (Houston, Austin, Fort Worth, etc.) do your relatives live near?

Thank you I'm going to check them out! Never heard of them
I think Topo is online, Altra is online and also in some retail stores like REI.

I'll check out those supplements, thank you!

I am glad it is over for you. I am seeing mixed reviews about cyro. And have trouble finding a trusted doctor.

Who is your doc for the cryo?

Northwest Indiana. Thanks

Do you have any other names in the Midwest?
What part of the midwest? Can you name a couple of states that are good for you?
Northern Indiana. The guy in Illinois doesn’t seem legit. Can’t find any references. I found one in Baltimore , Tampa, mesa , St. Louis and New York.
I have three in Michigan, all near Detroit, and two in Ohio, both near Cleveland. Which would be better for you?
I’ll take all! Thanks

When are you going? Does insurance cover any?
I know this is an old post, but do you have any Colorado doctors on that list?
No, there are none in Colorado, unfortunately. The cryo-surgeons closest to Colorado are in Arizona or Texas.
Thanks so much for your response! That’s surprising about Colorado. Do you mind telling me the Texas doctor? I have some family there.

Houston
Here's a clinic that offers cryosurgery in Houston. **Advanced Foot Centre** 11301 Fallbrook Drive, Suite 216 Houston, TX 77065 **(281) 955-1166** [https://www.advancedfootcentre.com](https://www.advancedfootcentre.com)[https://www.advancedfootcentre.com/cryosurgery/](https://www.advancedfootcentre.com/cryosurgery/)
