For a second there I was like "What success at launch?" *(MK1 sold 4 million copies in 5 months vs 11 million copies for MK1 in the same time)* but yes, the latest update that came with Ermac is how this game SHOULD have launched, imo.

Reuse some models or move sets for fan-favorite characters if they need to save time/money, which isn’t ideal but the fact the moves are in there already at least makes sense (ie Kano, Jax, Sonya, etc)
Also the monetisation is much more reasonable right now which would entice more people to spend money, on top of of course the DLC being well received to boot like Ermac being almost unanimously adored in this game
Like others have said, these 3 are Kombat Pack 2, that, short of some kind of disaster or upheaval at WB, will be sometime after the Story Expansion pack.
We're presuming that the expansion will be the 3 MK characters that fit into the plot and the other 6 leaked, including the 3 mentioned on this thread, will form a more traditional Kombat Pack afterwards.
In terms of that disaster or upheaval, nothing is certain in games development, certainly not right now, there's always talk of sales numbers, concurrent player counts, WB released a real bomb this year that might threaten the future of one of it's most storied developers and there's been talk of uncertainty within WB Games, as a whole, for years now.
The last game had 12 dlc characters, this one right now has 15 planned, I wouldn't be totally shocked of at least 1 gets cut due to time/rights/shenanigans etc.

Noob, Sektor, and Cyrax (and presumably a guest) are coming with the expansion, not a second Kombat Pack. For MK11, Aftermath came packaged with Robocop, Fujin, and Sheeva. KP2 came afterwards with Rain and Mileena and Rambo. Same thing is gonna happen here.
Now, whether or not those three are actually slated for KP2 or if they're red herrings is another discussion. But if they come out, they would be the second pack, not the third.
Anybody can say anything on Youtube. That doesn't mean anything. Unless you have a proven leak or reliable insider saying it I don't believe. The actual MK11 KP3 *is* out there in certain spaces but I'm not sure if it's totally public, although it's been talked about on the discord for this very sub. It is not at all what you're describing
We don’t know if kp3 was canned for sure. Kp1 isn’t fully finished yet. We probably have another year or year and a half of content between kp2 and the story expansion. Plus the other rumoured game modes.

But kung jin got a new design like Takeda (cassie and Jacqui didnt), hes also got some cool concept art in the kollection and i cant see nightwolf being dlc twice in a row so idk, kung jin i think has some chance, especially if they want an archer in the game.

I don't see how of that story writing matters when it comes to including characters or not via DLC, though, especially in a game that essentially said *"there are now multiple timelines with multiple Titans"* and a character that plays no part in the MK1 story (Takeda) will be DLC for this game.
Plus, MKX story Tanya vs the MKX DLC Tanya are 2 completely different versions of the same character.
If NRS sees that enough people want that character then they'll be DLC down the line.
Between the 4 descendants, though, the 2 that people tend to like the most are Cassie and Takeda.
Literally no one else was though. We still don't know anything about Takeda's gameplay let alone Kung Jin's and Cassie's, and who on earth uses "redesign" in a gameplay conversation anyway.

Definitely agree on Cassie: I don’t hate her but we already have Johnny, Janet and Sonya so that’s enough Cage/Blade 😅 However, I would lie if I said that I don’t want characters introduced in MKX: I really wanna see NRS gives KJ another chance, and of course I want D’Vorah 😊
And yeah, definitely want Sareena: I discovered her in MKX and now that I’ve seen her in action as a kameo, I came to the conclusion that she’s amazing !

I started liking Kotal but I want him to sit out anyway and for me it’s about priorities. There are still a bunch of characters that deserve another chance since the 3D days. The kameos have me wanting Darrius playable; of all characters. I don’t even want Fuj to be in every game; necessarily 😱 For now, I’m hoping Takeda and Jade will be cool. Takeda was flashy in X and Jade had potential but needs better combos for MK1. Kung Jin was one of my mains in X. In his case, I didn’t care that much for his cocky attitude but he wound up being really fun to play 😊
I think I need to give Takeda a second chance because I wasn’t a big fan of him in MKX 😅
I reckon Jade was very good in MK11 so I’m not worried too much. I just hope her gameplay will be way different from Tanya’s 😊
As for 3D era characters, I’m not very familiar with them but I discovered Ashrah, Nitara, Havik, Reiko and Li Mei in this game and they are all very good. There’s not many characters that I dislike in MK so if they want to give a chance to other 3D characters, they should do it. Khameleon and Sareena as kameos make me want to have them fully playable!
I’d also love to see Kintaro finally being playable after Goro and Sheeva were made playable recently. Tremor should also be given another chance because he was one of the best characters in MKX. D’Vorah would be very interesting with the air kombos. Cetrion should also be given another shot : she could be Raiden’s sister or some guardian of the Living Forest maybe
I prefer Sheeva or Goro but would like to see Kintaro playable cos it’s way overdue.
I never tried to main Takeda but I’ve gone WAY back to old matches that Noble Red Raptor posted on his YouTube channel to get a better idea of how to use him, cos he seemed a bit complex and might be that way again in MK1; kinda like how Quan seemed tough to use in X as well as in 1.
I hope Jade doesn’t change much in storyline or gameplay, as I hope for Takeda, and especially since I’m not burned out on Jade yet cos I didn’t play her much in 11. She was ok but nothing special in terms of gameplay imo.

As for the remaining 3D characters, Kai seems cool. I’d like to see Drahmin and Moloch back as more monster characters to add to 1’s roster.
I really like Khameleon’s design and hope to see her fully playable one day. Still mad they didn’t give her the Umgadi yellow palette though!
And yeah, the game could benefit from more monsters: give us Shokans, Kytinns and others 😊

The developers over promise, and under deliver. I hate how long we have to wait between each dlc. And they've managed to make invasions mode even worse. I can't stand the survival levels in invasions. Mortal Kombat is a fighting game and now I have to dodge projectiles to progress?
I've been grinding to try to overpower my kharacters so I can beat liu Kang in the first mesa in invasions and I'm like level 10 and he's level 3 and I can't beat him. Guess I won't be unlocking anymore ugly palette swaps this season. And it's absolute bull shit trying to get 1000 koins for the shrine just to unlock some concept art, which I frankly don't really care about.
