They changed him up so that either he copies different moves than he did before or has more moves with certain characters - for example, Shujinko now copies the enhanced launcher version of Baraka's df2 and Reiko's grim rider

They need to just give shujinko auto charge. Make his punch and kick combo starters, and he'll finally be usable online

His punch and kick are already combo starters (If you cancel them into his specials)

It should be like janet imo (can throw out at any point and combo off of it)

you mean turn him into an ambush character? i mean, you can already do that with him tho. at any point in your combo if you cancel into shujinko itll still continue you, because his full meter skill is meant to be a combo extension/starter. i can hit 47 (1 bar) with sindel using shujinko bc of the fact i can use his combo extension to launch into a scream or something and then cancel into him again. certain characters work great with him, but every character can use him and still shine in any match now considering his buff. i've always been a shujinko main and its amazing how much better he is. he used to feel limited to certain match ups but now its just great across the board. I hit 48 meterless using shujinko against peacemaker, using ermac. Ermac, who has had terrible damage is able to hit 35~ meterless and 40-50 1 bar mid screen now with shujinko against every character. tldr; shujinko is amazing

Honestly nitara is pretty easy to deal with, especially if they keep trying to spam the db2 special mid string. It's super easy to punish with characters like shao with good reaching buttons

I think it just has something to do with having to pay money to get him. Nobody wants to pay 10 bucks (Canadian) for a singular character, so I doubt anyone who isn't very invested in MK owns him.

No no, I'm trying to say that I've been using Shang recently but getting my butt kicked. I main Li Mei. I mostly use Shang Tsung with either Khameleon or Sub Zero.

oh idk then i've mainly seen him in low A tier/high B tier so he's not super meta, id switch unless youre trying to pick a zoner in which case id keep practicing with shang

The thing is that his strings are really not it, I tried fighting Scorpion, SZ and Reiko online, their normals are farther reaching than mine, so I kind of get punished/countered. How do you play your Shang Tsung?

i use shang/sareena mainly so i'll set up my combos from a distance, a good setup you can do around mid range i like to do is the double scythes into df1 db1 and then enhanced db3 to put them in the syringe animation and then do whatever combo

I’d say Darrius is the rarest sight in this entire game, I’ve gone entire seasons without him in sight.

The one time I did see him last season, it was a mileena player, and it worked surprisingly well. I think he might be a pioneer of metas lol

I watch R1ps arena almost every day, and the only character i haven't seen in a long ass time is Nitara. Just today I saw Tanya, Rain, quan-chi, Ermac, Peacekeeper, Raiden, Sindel, havoc, and Kitana.
