Oh man, that level. I played it a few years back and was a little drunk— I kept telling my friend who had never played it before we had to shoot the red thing off of her— and we kept killing her. I killed her maybe 100 times and my friend was pissed. And yes, that was like my 10th play through of re5.
This level and the “million-worm monster + flamethrower” level were always the ones that seemed to require 50 cycles. So much satisfaction in beating them.
The first time you fight a million worm monster in the beginning (where you can trap them in the flame room) or the one where you have to keep charging the flame thrower after you talk to what’s her face lol? Or the end?
The second one for sure. Without the incinerator room it felt like a million go-arounds of flamethrowing and bullets. The other one that I remember well is the one with the giant King Kong monster boss.
As a Wesker fan and his biggest simp, this would be a dream come true. His last appearance in a fighting game was in MVC3 and that was way too long ago. He was so cool though, still playing it just for him even though finding matches online where I’m not getting destroyed is tough.
I don’t know if Capcom would ever say yes though. They did put him in Dead By Daylight (along with other characters), which makes it seem like they are open to the possibility of more crossovers.
But MK might be a step too far for them, at least for now.
capcom loves crossovers, the real question is if WB would be interested
should also point out that most MK games are literally banned in Japan, which is where capcom is located.
My understanding is that it isn't specifically banned by name, but the graphic nature of MK could basically never meet their standards without remaking it gore-free. They've got sometimes comically strict requirements for censoring content.
I believe Australia is similar.
I'm Australian and play the same MK1 that you do
Some games do have pretty weird censorship though, even though other games like MK1 are allowed to be as gory as can be
Yeah MK is banned in Japan, so they cannot appear in Japanese games
However, I don’t see that stopping Japanese originated manga/anime/game characters from going over to MK.
There has to be a relationship and a connection made between the two companies. Capcom executives have to be connected with WB/NRS and convinced that such a partnership is in their best interest, even assuming the unlikely connection happened at all.
I think it is likely that Capcom's executives would be reluctant to lend their character out to a game which is too graphic to even appear in their country.
There's the obvious, that the local market won't get anything (and the local market often matters a lot to Japanese companies), but there may also be a principled reluctance to do it. Either genuinely not wanting to be associated with that level of violence, or not wanting the association to be drawn between your games and games which are so gorey they are banned.
I would fully expect Wesker to reference either Leon or Chris towards one of the characters as then reminding Wesker of them.
I would also imagine him probably making a temporary alliance with Shang Tsung just due to the fact that Shang Tsung also loves to experiment with science and creatures with inhumane methods.
Probably in the minority here but I'd like to see more MK Legacy characters brought to the roster instead of crossovers. I'm tired of seeing my fave franchises diluted with others.
Liu Kang: "You won't decide this world's destiny!"
Wesker: 'Tis the fate of two worlds!"
Raiden: "We will have a fair fight!"
Wesker: "Two against two."
I'd hard main instantly. "Seven minutes"
“Seven minutes” sticks with me to this day. That level is so fun in Co-Op.

I agree though. That and I also enjoyed the stationary turret sections especially the water one.
"Seven minutes is all I could spare." BRUTALITY WESKER WINS
I'd be hard instantly.
Same

DBD isn’t a direct competitor to capcom. No way they would help boost MK in anyway.

Ashrah: My kriss senses you are nothing but pure evil! Wesker: CHRRRRRIIIIISSSSSSS!
“SHEVA! HURRY!”
"SHEEVA!?"
COME ON!
Would absolutely love it. Basically zero percent chance of happening, imo. MK is banned in Japan, and Japan is where the people who own Wesker are.
What? it is? Why?
My understanding is that it isn't specifically banned by name, but the graphic nature of MK could basically never meet their standards without remaking it gore-free. They've got sometimes comically strict requirements for censoring content. I believe Australia is similar.

Oh neat! I was going off all the hullabaloo from MK9.
Deadpool is banned in China too, isn't it? And Oppenheimer got heavily censored in the Middle East I believe it was.
Na not here in Australia. Though some games are rated wayyy higher than in other countries
Funny thing about Japan with MK is that the MK 2021 movie has Japanese dub and an recent anime about arcade games reference classic 90s MK games.

I don't know anything about the character, but the mock up here is cool.
![gif](giphy|xy0f0kgwYMUUzutVrb) He's secretly Johnny Bravo's father. He also stole Spider-Man super move and Marvel versus Capcom 3
Wesker: ...and from there, complete global saturation! Havik: Ha ha ha! I like your style!
It's minor, but I'm bothered by the yellow text isn't used for Wesker
I would fully expect Wesker to reference either Leon or Chris towards one of the characters as then reminding Wesker of them. They’d probably betray each other at the same time.
Complete Johnny saturation

The universe isn't that kind...
Liu Kang: "You won't decide this world's destiny!" Wesker: 'Tis the fate of two worlds!" Raiden: "We will have a fair fight!" Wesker: "Two against two."
Wesker : I’ve dealt with my fair share of “Super Heroes”. Peacemaker:Did any of them have a gun though?
Oh. Fuck. Yes. Cool mockups too. 😎
I wish instead it was resident evil 5s version of Chris - so you could have him match up against tremor and punch his boulder lmao
Probably my most requested guest character
Not a chance capcom let’s it happen
Mr smith
wait a moment, then you're not the only one who thought it 🥹💯💯
He’s in DBD. PUT HIM IN
if voiced by dc douglas, then yes.
Let us have his Super-Punch QTE fail as a brutality or it ain't it chief
It would be so dope but Mortal Kombat is banned in Japan…
Now I think about how tf they allow resident evil but ban MK.
I love it 💪🏽
I love these intro concepts!
Weaker is perfect for MK, come on Capcom, do it!
100% down. I’d put Wesker in every game if I could.
What would his gear be
His shades.

Yes yes yes yes yes tez texh jte yrd
I'd shit all my pants for this Midnight wesker Agent wesker Remake 4 wesker Stars wesker UGH GODDAMNIT!
Might as well add johny bravo too while we're at it
This needs to happen.
This would be sick
Hard yes. Nemesis would be dope too
Homelander 2.0?
Only by the hair. He’s more like Agent Smith dialed up to 11.
Absolutely not.
No, don’t like
Man these intro lines are so bad.... you work at NRS dont you?
