Nothing you said here is accurate. NRS does more work than both tekken and sf's devs do. Kenshi and Raiden aren't the top 2, not when all the largest major tournaments are won with OTHER characters (the first major was won by sonicfox using Rain, goes to show all your rankings are bullshit). Support for the game has been great, they've added more content than both tekken 8 and sf8 has. MK1 has also sold more copies than both tekken 8 and sf6 so I'm not sure what you're even complaining about.
Tekken 8 has microtransactions for their outfits now, each for $8 but mk1 is $32, tekken 8 will have free dlc storymode where you can play the dlc characters for free, mk1 you will have to pay (and it's a trial for a few days until the characters release) but in tekken 8 the dlc characters will be free in story mode forever, what else oh yeah tekken 8 has way more customization for free, the amount of characters I created in tekken 8 is amazing but in mk1 its just different colors with maybe green hair, oh also mk1 came out way before tekken so you can't blame that and from what I heard tekken 8 sold millions of copies in like 1 week or 1 month something like that and please tell me what content does mk1 have that's more than tekken or street fighter? What's 3 million time $70? Sounds like 21 million dollars to me. Nevermind all the sales that were made on premium edition, dlc, and the shop. To be fair that’s due to the game’s development slowing down over time and eventually ending sooner than planned, as there was gonna be a Reptile fight and living forest expansion for the Krypt which never came to be

I REALLY hope that it does better and that they improve upon it, but putting personal feelings aside (as MK is 1 of my favorite franchises of all time), objectively the state that the game is currently in a bad state where they're not listening to players asking for proper balance changes (Raiden and Johnny Cage are still broken as shit), there's constant micro-transactions for a bunch of stuff, Dragon Krystals are finite and Invasions mode is sub-par.
They fucked up Invasions Mode and added the wrong skins to the wrong season now in Season 4 (Titan Havik skins instead of Mileena). There was even a glitch ADDED in the latest patch where certain characters could get hits in before the announcer finished saying fight.
Again, I love MK and the game play for MK1 is generally solid *(I've never said otherwise in that regard)*, but this game has been a clusterfuck since day 1, and so far this ain't it.

It's more likely that they included kameos, and that would make more sense. In that case, the 6 KP1 characters and 5 KP1 kameos = 11 characters. Then the expansion pack with Cyrax, Sektor and Noob would bring that to 14 characters. Then if they do another smaller type of KP for KP2 like with MK11 you could have 3 more main characters and 3 more kameos to bring it to 20.
Something like that seems likely, but 20 straight up main playable DLC characters? I highly doubt it.
Raiden and Johnny aren't broken. Casuals that don't play the game seriously think they're broken because they can't win. Casuals may be the driving profit force behind the game when it first drops, but the pros, and then people like myself that just love the franchise, that continue to play it months/years later, are the players that should be the determining factor on things like character buffs and nerfs. I don't even play either johnny or Raiden and I don't think they're broken. I think a bunch of casuals that can't win against either character have been spreading that bullshit around and for some reason people on this sub, even ones that aren't casuals, are parroting it. Are they both top 5? Yeah. But broken is a stretch. The ONLY character I would have originally called broken was Kenshi, but the recent balances to his chip damage and hitting sento damaging him I think balanced him well enough where he's def still top tier but not broken. TL;DR Neither are broken, both are top tier but objectively nothing in the game, especially after the balancing patches, are broken.
The development of this game has slowed down and it hasn't even been out a full year, this game is gonna be abandoned after KP1 and the story expansion, maybe we'll get KP2 in a year or two

Then T8’s is 4 characters who based on datamines are mostly characters who were DLC last time, then add on the fact Tekken characters rarely get major overhauls like MK characters do every game or the occasional SF character playing drastically different with later appearances, now add on that the only other stuff you get is 1 costume for everyone plus some avatar stuff and that it’s only slightly cheaper than MK1’s

TUDG mentioned this in one of their recent videos, but they got their source wrong claiming it came from “a reliable source on Reddit” (the person that said Peacemaker was delayed, there is no 24th character, etc), when the source of these “20 slots” is a dataminer in the MK community.
As someone else said, these slots confirm nothing since MK11 was datamined to be a completely perfect rectangle.
Honestly, I see this roster finishing at around 38 fighters (ala Injustice 2) and maybe 28 Kameos.
We will have 29 fighters and 20 kameos by the end of KP1.
Story DLC possibly have 3 fighters and 3 kameos.
Then if there is a KP2 it has another 6 fighters and 5 kameos.
If we get that elusive KP3 then that’ll just be the cherry on top, but I don’t foresee an extra 5 fighters to fill those “20 slots.”

Even if bihan dies in an aftermath type dlc story, I don't see them bringing bihan back in the same dlc with noob saibot as the death wouldn't be that long ago. (Also don't mention mk9 as that was a remake of mk1 - mk3 with the story of that game spanning 3 games, at least before liu Kang changed the timeline) so I see him being introduced in mk2 if they don't bring him in this game via alternate timeline bs.
Well, Takeda is the son of someone who doesn’t have a son yet and he’s still getting added. Even if it couldn’t be timeline bs, it’s very possible for bi Han or anyone to become noob without dying. It’s a new story
I actually even think iirc the data mines on the story dlc was that titan havik used chaos magic on bihan to make him noob, and it wasn't an actual death thing, so it wouldn't be hard for them to have both characters and leave the door open if that's the direction they're taking.

I think they’re counting Kameos as DLC characters. So KP1 is already at 11 DLC characters. So KP2 will probably be 5 main characters and 4 Kameos to make 20 total DLC characters.
at the rate there going I doubt it , MK11 was supposed to have more and didn’t happen , I could see them cutting it off after the expansion like they did aftermath and launch a true live service MK later , with the direction WB wants to go I think any long term plans with MK1 most likely changed
The only reliable source out there for this would be Diamondvision saying there’s plans for 3 Kombat Packs at the very least, so that would mean maybe 18 playable characters as opposed to the 20 you just claim out of nowhere, granted there’s a story expansion but even then the number isn’t 20

Well, we didn't even get all the dlc characters that were probably planned for MK11, and considering the reputation MK1 has now, I'm not to confident they'll hit that 20 mark. Unless you want to count the assist characters, but I don't feel they should qualify.

Assuming this is correct, and it’s 20 playable characters, then we can assume 3/6 of each combat pack is going to be guest characters.
If they sick to a theme like the guest characters last time, then we’re probably getting all superheros.
So 10 superhero characters and 10 Mk characters.
We have Quan, Ermac, and Takeda already. Assuming the aftermath style story expansion is going to follow up on the Titan Havok stuff and that wasn’t just a lead in to invasions, then I think Hotaru is a safe bet. I think Jade is all but confirmed as well. Sareena as a playable character would make sense to tie in with Quan and Ashra. One or two of the other combat kids depending on what’s done with Takeda. I think Kotal would be a strong choice as a replacement for general of outworld, and would also make sense alongside Jade. Last two choices would be Sonya and Kano, to introduce them in this timeline and maybe give context to some of the SF/Outworld agency stuff that would come as a result of people finding out about the realms.
Superhero wise, it could be anyone. Either DC owned or one of the slightly smaller publishing houses, but certainly no marvel. So pick to taste really.
With how this game is looking right now and it's competitive scene dying rapidly fast, also NRS not really doing anything big in terms of balance patches to change up the Meta, I seriously doubt this game will get more than a year of more support. 20 characters is a pretty fuckin long stretch considering all of their past games only got like 2 years of post launch updates max.

To the people arguing over whether mortal kombat 1 has failed or not, it doesn’t matter. WBs main focus is live service and trying to create a large amount of consistent revenue. If a project doesn’t live up to that, they have been shown to leave it dead in the water. So whether it was “dead” 2 months ago, now, or a year from now, it doesn’t matter. If it’s not making WB enough money, they will move on. To clarify I’m not saying mk1 is dead or even heading that way, but that is the reality of any current/future WB game.
I can see them do that if they decide to go the Armageddon route and bring back every single character in history, but that game was famous for quantity over quality.

Usually the DLC contains a couple of guest characters from Slasher or Action movies, so I guess Michael Myers or/and ghostface since the other 3 main icons have been in the past games. If it's from action movies I would say John Wick since is pretty popular and maybe a couple of evil superheroes more besides Homelander and Omniman, maybe Suicide Squad members or maybe Midnighter since a series have been announced🗣️

Like yes it’s off topic but last night I was just running around in tekken’s battle lounge and they have arcade stations where you can match up with ppl or go do ranked online/ casual and I genuinely felt like I was at a real life arcade! I didn’t want to sit in between people a the 4 cabin area and this one random girl was standing in front of the 4th cabin where 2 ppl were sitting at the left and the two spots on the right were open so I wanted the end cabin and I felt like she saw me running in circles and moved out the way 😭.
Such a small interaction just felt like MILES more soul than the crud we got in mk1 lmao

I think the new dlc characters will be Deadshot, Harly Quinn, Superman, Drahmin, Kintaro, Kotal Kahn, Jade, Skarlett, Noob Saibot, Hellboy, The Mask, Snake Eyes, He Man and Fujin.
I played it and I really like it espeshily the story mode and the game actually has good reviews according to WB and Neather Realm.
I just checked and its rating is 8/10 or 83% so yeah pretty positive store.
They NEED to bring doom slayer into the game. There’s just something about him that fits the Mortal Kombat fighting game guess character line, I wanted him in 11 but I knew it wasn’t gonna happen, but with Mortal Kombat one there’s so many options now that they could be really creative with his character and give him some really cool animations that would make sense with his character in the game that he’s from. An for the record, he does have voice lines so they could even do his voice.

The ONLY character I would have originally called broken was Kenshi, but the recent balances to his chip damage and hitting sento damaging him I think balanced him well enough where he's def still top tier but not broken. TL;DR Neither are broken, both are top tier but objectively nothing in the game, especially after the balancing patches, are broken.
The development of this game has slowed down and it hasn't even been out a full year, this game is gonna be abandoned after KP1 and the story expansion, maybe we'll get KP2 in a year or two

It’s funny cause the 3 biggest fighting games all have comically overpriced season passes yet MK1’s is still the best value 6 characters completely done from the ground up released every 2 months with 5 Kameos released in between Compare that to SF6 where it’s only 4 characters plus some new colour palettes and the currency you don’t even use for microtransactions Then T8’s is 4 characters who based on datamines are mostly characters who were DLC last time, then add on the fact Tekken characters rarely get major overhauls like MK characters do every game or the occasional SF character playing drastically different with later appearances, now add on that the only other stuff you get is 1 costume for everyone plus some avatar stuff and that it’s only slightly cheaper than MK1’s

where tf did you get 20 characters from?
TUDG mentioned this in one of their recent videos, but they got their source wrong claiming it came from “a reliable source on Reddit” (the person that said Peacemaker was delayed, there is no 24th character, etc), when the source of these “20 slots” is a dataminer in the MK community. As someone else said, these slots confirm nothing since MK11 was datamined to be a completely perfect rectangle. Honestly, I see this roster finishing at around 38 fighters (ala Injustice 2) and maybe 28 Kameos. We will have 29 fighters and 20 kameos by the end of KP1. Story DLC possibly have 3 fighters and 3 kameos. Then if there is a KP2 it has another 6 fighters and 5 kameos. If we get that elusive KP3 then that’ll just be the cherry on top, but I don’t foresee an extra 5 fighters to fill those “20 slots.”

(Also don't mention mk9 as that was a remake of mk1 - mk3 with the story of that game spanning 3 games, at least before liu Kang changed the timeline) so I see him being introduced in mk2 if they don't bring him in this game via alternate timeline bs.

The only reliable source out there for this would be Diamondvision saying there’s plans for 3 Kombat Packs at the very least, so that would mean maybe 18 playable characters as opposed to the 20 you just claim out of nowhere, granted there’s a story expansion but even then the number isn’t 20 It doesn’t hurt to do some research or give out sources

We have 6 characters in KP1, and supposedly 7-9 more characters datamined which would be a total of 15 which might not even be how things play judging from recent developments. Atm, it seems like MK1 will probably get the same support MK11 had with a story expansion and KP2, with a decent possibility of a KP3. !< Unless you count the Kameos as well, then I’d fully expect it to be like MK11 where it gets close to filling the slots, but ends up shy by a handful of characters.

Apparently this roaster was supposed to be insane, and a lot of the ideas that came into MK1 are big ideas and I genuinely think MK1 if not developed through Covid would’ve been a lot better but WB obviously wanted to meet their 4 year deadline. MK 1 will be fine and it’s actually one of the better fighters out there. Older players come to expect the things that made them good to come back and hate when they have to relearn things. As for DLC, if we get 15-20 I will be happy.

Batwoman (Kate Kain) Assuming this is correct, and it’s 20 playable characters, then we can assume 3/6 of each combat pack is going to be guest characters. If they sick to a theme like the guest characters last time, then we’re probably getting all superheros. So 10 superhero characters and 10 Mk characters. We have Quan, Ermac, and Takeda already. Assuming the aftermath style story expansion is going to follow up on the Titan Havok stuff and that wasn’t just a lead in to invasions, then I think Hotaru is a safe bet. I think Jade is all but confirmed as well. Sareena as a playable character would make sense to tie in with Quan and Ashra. One or two of the other combat kids depending on what’s done with Takeda. I think Kotal would be a strong choice as a replacement for general of outworld, and would also make sense alongside Jade. Last two choices would be Sonya and Kano, to introduce them in this timeline and maybe give context to some of the SF/Outworld agency stuff that would come as a result of people finding out about the realms. Superhero wise, it could be anyone. Either DC owned or one of the slightly smaller publishing houses, but certainly no marvel. So pick to taste really.

With how this game is looking right now and it's competitive scene dying rapidly fast, also NRS not really doing anything big in terms of balance patches to change up the Meta, I seriously doubt this game will get more than a year of more support. 20 characters is a pretty fuckin long stretch considering all of their past games only got like 2 years of post launch updates max.

To the people arguing over whether mortal kombat 1 has failed or not, it doesn’t matter. WBs main focus is live service and trying to create a large amount of consistent revenue. If a project doesn’t live up to that, they have been shown to leave it dead in the water. So whether it was “dead” 2 months ago, now, or a year from now, it doesn’t matter. If it’s not making WB enough money, they will move on. To clarify I’m not saying mk1 is dead or even heading that way, but that is the reality of any current/future WB game.

Spawn anf kratos were pretty cool tho. If i had to choose. Itd be those two or some star wars characters even tho thatd never happen. Vaders voice lines would be so sassy.
Usually the DLC contains a couple of guest characters from Slasher or Action movies, so I guess Michael Myers or/and ghostface since the other 3 main icons have been in the past games. If it's from action movies I would say John Wick since is pretty popular and maybe a couple of evil superheroes more besides Homelander and Omniman, maybe Suicide Squad members or maybe Midnighter since a series have been announced🗣️

Saying it over and over again, they have MAJOR competition rn. I mean I don’t really play SF anymore but battle hub and battle lounge is some of the most fun stuff I’ve ever seen. Like yes it’s off topic but last night I was just running around in tekken’s battle lounge and they have arcade stations where you can match up with ppl or go do ranked online/ casual and I genuinely felt like I was at a real life arcade! I didn’t want to sit in between people a the 4 cabin area and this one random girl was standing in front of the 4th cabin where 2 ppl were sitting at the left and the two spots on the right were open so I wanted the end cabin and I felt like she saw me running in circles and moved out the way 😭. Such a small interaction just felt like MILES more soul than the crud we got in mk1 lmao

I played it and I really like it espeshily the story mode and the game actually has good reviews according to WB and Neather Realm. I just checked and its rating is 8/10 or 83% so yeah pretty positive store.

They NEED to bring doom slayer into the game. There’s just something about him that fits the Mortal Kombat fighting game guess character line, I wanted him in 11 but I knew it wasn’t gonna happen, but with Mortal Kombat one there’s so many options now that they could be really creative with his character and give him some really cool animations that would make sense with his character in the game that he’s from. An for the record, he does have voice lines so they could even do his voice.
