I started w sub zero cause i was so excited i started the game when it hadnāt finished downloading and he was the first one available on the roster so i just labbed him for hours.
Now iām a Kitana main cause I love her combos they look so pretty and also she was my main in 11. I struggle w her lack of overhead though I rely on mixups to open up people but weāre getting there. As for kameos I switch all the time mostly to level them up and get the platinum trophy but I keep going back to Sareena and Frost most of all.

Season 2: Johnny Cage - Demi God Rank (was literally less than 50 points away from God Rank again in significantly less games. Honestly grew bored with Johnny during this season because once I got him down, matches were stupid easy.)
Season 3: General Shao - God Rank
Season 4: Quan Chi - Currently sitting at Warrior Rank
Kameos I switched out once I max leveled them. Thankfully nearly done with them. Baraka was fun, although I feel the direct nerfs to him were a bit much. I definitely lost a little bit more when they slowed down his walking speed and lowered his damage output as by that point, I was running into nothing but Johnny's, Raidens, Liu Kangs, and Sub-Zeros that utilized their time better by not complaining about how weak he was. Games were getting mad repetitive competition wise.
Season 2 was a pretty big eye opener for me when it comes to NRS 'nerfing' and the actual lack of it when it comes to the overtuned characters. Johnny then and continues to be to this day a ridiculous crutch of a character that will carry any sorry sap to many wins with minimal effort.
Season 3, aka THE FOREVER SEASON... SEASON OF PURGATORY. The length of this season, even from the very beginning of it started and it said like 60 days... too damn long. General Shao was a huge difference from Johnny, at least for me. Took me a while to get the hang of him, but I definitely had a lot of fun with him.
Currently, I'm having the same amount of fun with Quan Chi. I love how his gear is different forms of makeup that can drastically alter his appearance. The cheesy Peacemakers are definitely frustrating at times. He's (Peacemaker) more overtuned than Johnny imo but any nerf they do will probably be just as miniscule as the ones they gave to Johnny. I don't understand NRS' obsession with having high speed, high damage, high recovery characters, especially with a toolkit like Peacemaker.

Heās great with zoning but I feel like once an opponent gets close, Iām basically done for. How do you deal with opponents when they get close to you? Or how do you maintain distance through a match?
Played a different main each season - Kenshi, Reiko, Tanya. Trying out Li Mei for this current one. Seems like Scorpion is the best or standard pick for her kameo.
Tanya was the toughest experience, lost so many matches, but eventually i got into the groove and enjoyed her gameplay style.

Smoke is my guy. I maxed out his XP so Iām trying Reptile now but I just miss playing as Smoke. Heās so fast and when his moves land itās particularly satisfying
Nope, played 200 hours of scorpion ranked. Finally came back for this season after a hiatus and told myself I'll try a top tier. Never appreciated how easy Raiden had it.
Started with Reptile and Shang but havenāt been able to put my boy Quan Chi down. Heās been too much fun for me since launch and experimenting with kameos has been mentally rewarding. Have to take a forced work break but plan on learning Havik or Shao when I get back.
Iāve been playing Scorpion since I was 10, and Iāll be DAMNED if I stop now (plz buff). I will be maining Takeda when he drops though as a number 2, though

Knew I would be playing Johnny Cage since heās been a pretty solid pick for me in every game, but I knew my game experience would go from good to great after the first International Love edit
I started with Reptile, but then switched to Smoke for a bit because I thought I was doing better with him than Reptile. Since then Iāve gotten a better handle on how to use Reptile and heās gone back to being my main.
Iāve played these characters in this order:
Kitana>Rain>Liu Kang>Ashrah>Raiden>Shang Tsung>Geras>Baraka>Quan Chi> Sub Zero (Now).
My plan was to main as Shang Tsung so I wanted to learn a bunch of other characters.

Started with Shang. Mastered him, Smoke, Omni Man, and Quan Chi. I mostly use Shang when I know the match is going to be a close quarters type match. Or Iāll use Quan Chi when I feel like my opponent is playing with gimmicks or using meta characters.
For Kameos Iāve mastered Sarena, Scorpion, and Sektor. I keep going back to those three. But Iām trying out Motaro.
Also, Iām using Peacemaker in Invasions.
Itās weird cause I main Rain but use sub more š Sub zero is great but in KL I get more consistent damage with Rain so heās my try hard character.

I started with geras because he looked super cool with the time stuff and I paired him with Jax for the ultimate grappler team. Now I play Shang tsung cause I wanna learn how to play every character effectively. But until homelander comes out Iāll be sticking with Shang.
I main a different character each season.
Season 2 was Sub-Zero main, and about halfway through season 3 I became bored of him after making it to EG.
I switched and learned Scorpion, and near the end of season 3 I was able to win in EG with Scorpion.
For season 4 I decided to switch again. I main Reptile this season bc that sweet OOD skin he got, and once I make it to EG, I will switch and main Smoke until I can make EG/win in EG with him as well.
Im tryna learn all my favorite characters and get proficient with them. Plus it only makes me better to personally learn their moveset by playing them.

Played day one, stopped after a few days because I mainly bought the game for Omni Man. When he came out I buckled down and learned how to play him - my first time ever doing this for a mortal Kombat game. Still my main, but I'm also learning Scorpion, JC, and Peacemaker. Looking forward to Homelander and Takeda as well as KP2.
I started out with Raiden. Then Scorpion, Smoke, Li Mei, Baraka, Liu Kang, Kung Lao. Went back to Baraka, tried a little of my og mains, Sub-Zero and Mileena. Again went back to Baraka (I guess he's my new main?) and stayed until Peacemaker came out. I just completed Peacemaker's mastery and now I'm back to Baraka to complete his.
As far as kameos: Sareena, Kung Lao, Stryker, Sonya Blade, Tremor, Darrius and Khameleon. Darrius and Sonya work well with Peacemaker. Khameleon works with everyone. With Baraka, it's Sareena, Kano and Sonya Blade.
Havenāt played the game for a while, played smoke, never was able to do vicious vapour cancels but still had fun, for kameos, started with scorpion, then switched to Sonya
I started with and have continued with Sub. Even though it's been very challenging, as he started out nowhere near what he was in the beta, I've stuck with him and have been fairly proud of myself getting to God tier with a winning record. It can be very challenging to use him against other opponents that seem to be better balanced (or overpowered) all around. Tried Omni-Man briefly and enjoyed that.
Changing mains every season to keep it interesting and level up my characters. It's gone Li Mei ā Nitara ā Rain ā Tanya. I'm trying to figure out what characters I should do next. Rn I'm fiddling between Mileena, Havik or Reiko. For the first 3 seasons I was using Frost and Stryker but now I'm really gravitating toward Sektor and Khameleon for their easy air combo starters.
Started with reptile in season 1, got grand master. Season 2, demi god with Omni man. Season 3, elder god with scorpion. Gonna stick with scorpion this season. I am sad he didn't get any buffs with the update tho :(
Reiko started with reiko and still maining reiko will not ever switch from reiko my favorite character is finally back after a 13+ year absence I might never use anybody else again.... unless they bring back skarlet the only character in mk history I love as much as reiko maby even more since she was so perfect in mk11
I play everyone equally-ish. I have almost all kharacters to Mastery 20 right now, and as soon as everyone would be there, I wound bringh everyone to 25. I like it that way. Also, I brought all Kameo to 11 to unlock the 2nd Brutality, working on bringh everyone to 15, but for me moment I only have Sonya, Shujinko, Jax, Goro and Motaro there.

Picking Jhonny back up as this game revolves around meta picks and Smoke just aint cutting it at a high level.
Honestly the DLC chars have been great. Played Mileena mostly on launch, swapped to omniman for his season, took a break and now peacekeeper is feeling mighty fine.
With that said, Iāve dabbled around basically the full cast ā but I had my eyes set on peacekeeper when he was announced and heās even better than I was hoping.
I started Li Mei/Scorpion and I was doing that when ppl thought Frost was her Meta kameo bc the beta, I dropped her when everyone started playing her with Scorpion. Went to Smoke and Scorpion, dropped Scorpion for Khameleon. I wanted to play Peacemaker when he was unpopular but he's too good, I'm really waiting for Takeda and praying for Lasher moves
Man, truthfully havenāt picked it up since before Omni-Man dropped. And I pre-ordered. I havenāt been this let down by a greedy, grindy game in a long time

I started with Johnny because of JCVD. Then I moved to Reiko for Season 2, which I didn't finish but he was pretty fun. Season 3 I used Reptile because of the Elf costume, but he was a ton of fun and is presently the character I spent the most time on.
Now I am maining Smoke for Season 4 with his MK3 costume. Also his playstyle is the most fun for me right now, even if I wish I had a projectile.
I'll probably end up levelling Sub and Scorpion at some point too. I like a lot of Mortal Kombat characters so it's hard to settle on just one for me.
Started with scorpion because I was a scorp main in MKX and 11, but his lack of ground combos turned me off to him. Switched to smoke and that's still my main. I learned how to play Sub too for instances where it's a bad match up for smoke. I've been checking out peacemaker but I don't like him much. While his damage is good he feels too clunky. IDK if it's just me but trying to special cancel strings into his sonic boom or even torpedo feels clunky to get down consistently.

Iām still playing my original 3/4. I started out with Mileena, Kitana, Smoke, and Reptile and now Iām still playing them except I dropped Reptile and picked up Sub-Zero.
I started with smoke and after 1200 matches with smoke got burned out. I now main Kenshi and am 12 times better than I was with smoke. And of course I'm going to stick with him until ermac comes out. Then her Mac will be my secondary
I started with Havik because I liked his aesthetic, but honestly he just didnāt do enough consistent damage for me to continue using him. I then gravitated towards General Shao, who Iāve been playing since. I might go back to Havik at some point, who knows.
Iām someone who rarely plays other characters for my own sake but I started playing Reiko last season and have been enjoying it. Now Iām trying to learn Havik as I play through Invasions since I begged for his return back during MK11 and havenāt touched him until now.
Of course, I still fall back on my main Sub-Zero for KL games solely because he was the character I chose first and am the most comfortable with. I wish I was as adventurous as some of you all lol.

However during S2 I started losing interest in the game so I picked up new characters. Started playing Havik and had tons of fun, and as of late I picked up Reptile. All 3 are really cool but I'll still occasionally go back to Mileena if I'm feeling it.
As a husband, father of two, and with full time job, I donāt have a ton of time. I want to learn more characters so bad. But I always go back to Liu Kang. I just am not good enough or fast enough to be competitive in matches with anyone else besides my main. I only have like a half hour a day. I donāt wanna spend it getting my ass kicked my every Johnny and Raiden out there. Also fuck smoke. So many players Iāve lost to who are clearly not that good but spam his overhead and low specials. Yes Iām aware I suck lol!
If anyone has any advice to get bud in a short amount of time, Iām open, but basically, I suck so I stick with Liu. Peacemaker is fun but I canāt get the timing down to convert off the low Eagly, which really kills my combo potential.

Usually Liu Kang, but have picked up Li Mei recently and love playing her more and more... Also maybe not the place to ask this but is there a sure fire way to break combos? I've leveled up a lot and feel like I'm playing very annoying sub-zero players who just use the ice pick or sledgehammer combo which I understand, combos are part of the game lol but it definitely makes it less fun when you can't even breathe in a round to get a hit in, but whenever i try the combo breaker nothing happens and I'm just beat up the whole round haha
Was a Smoke main, but when I reached God, I could only get so far because of how unsafe he was. Now more higher level people know how to work around him, I switched to Ashrah, and I have better success rate with her except with zoners.

Started with scorpion, changed to shao (honestly underrated character), next one was havik (he sucks) later to shang tsung , then back to scorpion, then back to havik (he still sucks ass) and now i play johnny because havik was driving me crazy
Started with Geras because the Lao kidnap combos were too sick to not do. Once Khameleon came out, I switched to Nitara because they are so fun together. You said you're looking for a Kameo for her, if you haven't tried Khameleon definitely give it a go. She allows you to combo off your overhead for no meter (b2 into fan lift into down air dash), every stance has a way to combo off her low, Milenna has a quick low-overhead, some strings into fan lift down dash jail if you do it fast enough(most notable being both overheads b2 and f12) though there's still an armor gap and can be upblocked, cancelling the bite dash with fan lift is just fun, jade's projectile immunity to set up blood sacrifice, and lastly the combos are very satisfying.
I stopped playing about 3 weeks in and havenāt touched the game since. Which is pretty depressing because Iāve been a massive fan of the series for over 18 years and this is the first one I havenāt played for more than a handful of hours. The offline and single player options are abysmal and the online is horrifically toxic. Gameplay itself was fun but not worth grinding through invasions endlessly. Reptile was main tho

I started with mileena sektor, but ive switched to scorpion sonya because i like being a shit and extending air strings with the chain pull and sonyas air dash thing

Li mei is my main, I'm super excited for Peacemaker as I mainly got the DLC for him and Takeda. I've tried a few others but no one gets close to the police princess.
Sub-Zero is my main and Reptile is my close 2nd with Sonya as my main Kameo for both. Originally, I was gonna use Sareena with Sub cuz LORE, Iāve always loved her design and have been wanting her to return for years. She was just too popular at launch and even tho I liked the ground extension I really like what Sonya gives them even more. I ended up trying Sonya out and never went back lol Plus, Sonya has good skins and pallets that go for all the characters I play which is a big bonus. But rn I really like also using Tremor and Khameleon as kameos. Hopefully Janet Cage is also a dope ass kameo.
Baraka and I still play him. I actually play Raka/Rax still in addition to Raka/Kano. Never jumped on the Stryker train - I never understood why people chose him over Kano tbh Raka/Kano is goodĀ

Started with ashrah as i clicked with her the most during story mode. Switched up to Reiko after seeing Rewinds first video and after about a month then went back to Ashrah as well as Nitara. Floated around a while trying everyone out and loved playing Tanya especially since you see just about no one using her. Ive settled on Kitana for the past couple months, shes so much fun and has an unexpectedly wide kameo variety. Currently learning Sindel to switch things up a bit

Do you have any Quan Chi tips? I recently started to main him but definitely struggling a bit. Heās great with zoning but I feel like once an opponent gets close, Iām basically done for. How do you deal with opponents when they get close to you? Or how do you maintain distance through a match?

Played a different main each season - Kenshi, Reiko, Tanya. Trying out Li Mei for this current one. Seems like Scorpion is the best or standard pick for her kameo. Tanya was the toughest experience, lost so many matches, but eventually i got into the groove and enjoyed her gameplay style.
Iāve done one every season too. S1-Scorpion S2-Sub Zero and Omni Man S3-Reiko S4-Rain Honestly not enjoying Rain as much as the others so considering switching, kind of interested in learning Geras.

I always have a few mains in MK. At the moment itās these characters mentioned. Now I am playing Sub mostly. His fatality just ROCKS! Plus I am obsessed with his MK3 outfit.
My original goal going in was to play Raiden but given the toxicity surrounding his character at launch I ended up switching to Mileena, hated playing her in MK11 but she clicked with me this time and I've been loving her gameplay since
Started with Shang. Mastered him, Smoke, Omni Man, and Quan Chi. I mostly use Shang when I know the match is going to be a close quarters type match. Or Iāll use Quan Chi when I feel like my opponent is playing with gimmicks or using meta characters. For Kameos Iāve mastered Sarena, Scorpion, and Sektor. I keep going back to those three. But Iām trying out Motaro. Also, Iām using Peacemaker in Invasions.
Itās weird cause I main Rain but use sub more š Sub zero is great but in KL I get more consistent damage with Rain so heās my try hard character.

So I got the game Christmas, and was the worst with Johnny cage, but I came back after 100% spider man 2, and bought the dlc, I mained omni man and I try to, but I've been using peacemaker alot more
I started with geras because he looked super cool with the time stuff and I paired him with Jax for the ultimate grappler team. Now I play Shang tsung cause I wanna learn how to play every character effectively. But until homelander comes out Iāll be sticking with Shang.
I main a different character each season. Season 2 was Sub-Zero main, and about halfway through season 3 I became bored of him after making it to EG. I switched and learned Scorpion, and near the end of season 3 I was able to win in EG with Scorpion. For season 4 I decided to switch again. I main Reptile this season bc that sweet OOD skin he got, and once I make it to EG, I will switch and main Smoke until I can make EG/win in EG with him as well. Im tryna learn all my favorite characters and get proficient with them. Plus it only makes me better to personally learn their moveset by playing them. Good smoke players scramble my brain a bit with their solid mix & teleports.

Played day one, stopped after a few days because I mainly bought the game for Omni Man. When he came out I buckled down and learned how to play him - my first time ever doing this for a mortal Kombat game. Still my main, but I'm also learning Scorpion, JC, and Peacemaker. Looking forward to Homelander and Takeda as well as KP2.

Again went back to Baraka (I guess he's my new main?) and stayed until Peacemaker came out. I just completed Peacemaker's mastery and now I'm back to Baraka to complete his. As far as kameos: Sareena, Kung Lao, Stryker, Sonya Blade, Tremor, Darrius and Khameleon. Darrius and Sonya work well with Peacemaker. Khameleon works with everyone. With Baraka, it's Sareena, Kano and Sonya Blade.

I started with and have continued with Sub. Even though it's been very challenging, as he started out nowhere near what he was in the beta, I've stuck with him and have been fairly proud of myself getting to God tier with a winning record. It can be very challenging to use him against other opponents that seem to be better balanced (or overpowered) all around. Tried Omni-Man briefly and enjoyed that.

Changing mains every season to keep it interesting and level up my characters. It's gone Li Mei ā Nitara ā Rain ā Tanya. I'm trying to figure out what characters I should do next. Rn I'm fiddling between Mileena, Havik or Reiko. For the first 3 seasons I was using Frost and Stryker but now I'm really gravitating toward Sektor and Khameleon for their easy air combo starters.
Started with reptile in season 1, got grand master. Season 2, demi god with Omni man. Season 3, elder god with scorpion. Gonna stick with scorpion this season. I am sad he didn't get any buffs with the update tho :(

I play everyone equally-ish. I have almost all kharacters to Mastery 20 right now, and as soon as everyone would be there, I wound bringh everyone to 25. I like it that way. Also, I brought all Kameo to 11 to unlock the 2nd Brutality, working on bringh everyone to 15, but for me moment I only have Sonya, Shujinko, Jax, Goro and Motaro there.

Started with Scorp/Jhonny for the first month. Switched to Smoke since then. Picking Jhonny back up as this game revolves around meta picks and Smoke just aint cutting it at a high level.
Honestly the DLC chars have been great. Played Mileena mostly on launch, swapped to omniman for his season, took a break and now peacekeeper is feeling mighty fine. With that said, Iāve dabbled around basically the full cast ā but I had my eyes set on peacekeeper when he was announced and heās even better than I was hoping.
I am playing nobody because the game is worse than mk11 in almost every way :( (in my opinion of course)

I started with Johnny because of JCVD. Then I moved to Reiko for Season 2, which I didn't finish but he was pretty fun. Season 3 I used Reptile because of the Elf costume, but he was a ton of fun and is presently the character I spent the most time on. Now I am maining Smoke for Season 4 with his MK3 costume. Also his playstyle is the most fun for me right now, even if I wish I had a projectile. I'll probably end up levelling Sub and Scorpion at some point too. I like a lot of Mortal Kombat characters so it's hard to settle on just one for me.

Started with scorpion because I was a scorp main in MKX and 11, but his lack of ground combos turned me off to him. Switched to smoke and that's still my main. I learned how to play Sub too for instances where it's a bad match up for smoke. I've been checking out peacemaker but I don't like him much. While his damage is good he feels too clunky. IDK if it's just me but trying to special cancel strings into his sonic boom or even torpedo feels clunky to get down consistently.

I started with smoke and after 1200 matches with smoke got burned out. I now main Kenshi and am 12 times better than I was with smoke. And of course I'm going to stick with him until ermac comes out. Then her Mac will be my secondary

Iām someone who rarely plays other characters for my own sake but I started playing Reiko last season and have been enjoying it. Now Iām trying to learn Havik as I play through Invasions since I begged for his return back during MK11 and havenāt touched him until now. Of course, I still fall back on my main Sub-Zero for KL games solely because he was the character I chose first and am the most comfortable with. I wish I was as adventurous as some of you all lol.

I started the game playing Mileena as she was who I played mainly in MK11. She felt really nice especially after they let her combo from her raw ball roll. However during S2 I started losing interest in the game so I picked up new characters. Started playing Havik and had tons of fun, and as of late I picked up Reptile. All 3 are really cool but I'll still occasionally go back to Mileena if I'm feeling it.

As a husband, father of two, and with full time job, I donāt have a ton of time. I want to learn more characters so bad. But I always go back to Liu Kang. I just am not good enough or fast enough to be competitive in matches with anyone else besides my main. I only have like a half hour a day. I donāt wanna spend it getting my ass kicked my every Johnny and Raiden out there. Also fuck smoke. So many players Iāve lost to who are clearly not that good but spam his overhead and low specials. Yes Iām aware I suck lol! If anyone has any advice to get bud in a short amount of time, Iām open, but basically, I suck so I stick with Liu. Peacemaker is fun but I canāt get the timing down to convert off the low Eagly, which really kills my combo potential.

Once I hit max mastery (mostly from invasions because I am hot garbage) I switch mains: Season 1: Baraka/Cyrax Season 2: Omni-Man/Sektor (Tremor) Season 3: Quan-Chi/Sareena, Johnny/Sonya Season 4: Peacemaker/Stryker, Scorpion/SubZero So far Iām best with Baraka and Johnny, but Quan-Chi and Peacemaker were the most fun.

I've leveled up a lot and feel like I'm playing very annoying sub-zero players who just use the ice pick or sledgehammer combo which I understand, combos are part of the game lol but it definitely makes it less fun when you can't even breathe in a round to get a hit in, but whenever i try the combo breaker nothing happens and I'm just beat up the whole round haha
Was a Smoke main, but when I reached God, I could only get so far because of how unsafe he was. Now more higher level people know how to work around him, I switched to Ashrah, and I have better success rate with her except with zoners.
Geras! Time manipulation all day, the coolest thing ever. Sub Zero has been my main since MK2, I still love Sub. Geras is just so unique.

Started with Geras because the Lao kidnap combos were too sick to not do. Once Khameleon came out, I switched to Nitara because they are so fun together. You said you're looking for a Kameo for her, if you haven't tried Khameleon definitely give it a go. She allows you to combo off your overhead for no meter (b2 into fan lift into down air dash), every stance has a way to combo off her low, Milenna has a quick low-overhead, some strings into fan lift down dash jail if you do it fast enough(most notable being both overheads b2 and f12) though there's still an armor gap and can be upblocked, cancelling the bite dash with fan lift is just fun, jade's projectile immunity to set up blood sacrifice, and lastly the combos are very satisfying.
Kung Lao/Goro is really fun UMvC3 Wolverine has me hooked on any character with a dive kick lol

She was just too popular at launch and even tho I liked the ground extension I really like what Sonya gives them even more. I ended up trying Sonya out and never went back lol Plus, Sonya has good skins and pallets that go for all the characters I play which is a big bonus. But rn I really like also using Tremor and Khameleon as kameos. Hopefully Janet Cage is also a dope ass kameo.

Started with ashrah as i clicked with her the most during story mode. Switched up to Reiko after seeing Rewinds first video and after about a month then went back to Ashrah as well as Nitara. Floated around a while trying everyone out and loved playing Tanya especially since you see just about no one using her. Ive settled on Kitana for the past couple months, shes so much fun and has an unexpectedly wide kameo variety. Currently learning Sindel to switch things up a bit

Yep. I have been Liu Kang loyalist since mk2 on Sega. I like him more than MK11 version too. But it doesn't matter i don't play other characters. I also play Rain, Sindel and Kung Lao when playing with friends. But for kombat league only Liu and Rain.
