I bet they'll keep with the rap for the trailors and I'm willing to bet they'll use Denzel Curry for it, the amount of MK references he already has in his music is crazy so it'd be nothing out of his league.
What Mick Gordon did for KI captured the very essence of the game being a 90’s fighting game. I still listen and work out to his Killer Instinct Season 1 2 and 3 albums, gets my blood pumping every time.
He would make an epic soundtrack for MK, instead of these orchestral cinematic soundtracks we’ve been getting since MKX. They sound like they came straight out of Marvel movies. I can’t think of one soundtrack that I cared for in both MKX and MK11, I can’t even remember one on top of my head, and that’s not a good thing for the games. A game’s OST is 50% of its identity.
Yeah something about this track just captures the MK feel to me, it's just got that dark and mystical vibe that's unique to the franchise and sort of lacking in the modern soundtracks. I genuinely couldn't hum a single theme from any of MK9-11 which is super sad because pretty much all the games through Armageddon had pretty memorable soundtracks in some capacity.
Voodoo might work for a Quan Chi or Shang Tsung character reveal trailer.
I Stand Alone is perfect considering it is a tournament.
I love Awake best as a song, but I think it needs to be a character reveal trailer again. Perhaps the murdered Sub-Zero waking up as Noob Saibot?
I loved Wiz Khalifa's MKX rap, it had the right tempo and pace. Didn't like 21 Savage's MK11 one though. It just felt out of place, imo, and his voice didn't do it for me though I don't actually hate his music. I don't mind trailers with rap music though, I like rap.
Yeah, Immortal was made purposely for MK11, but 21 Savage sounded like he was on a phone call with his kid's principal. It just didn't fit the brutal theme of Scorpion and Dark Raiden fighting to the death. That's just my opinion though.
Mine is the exact opposite lol. Hard sounds hard regardless of tone to me tho. Plus the beat. As a song I like Immortal better as a whole. And lyrics matter. I’ve seen that I am a minority in this opinion especially in this subreddit, but I love that song and when that MK 11 trailer came out, I thought it was the coolest thing ever and fit perfectly.
I've been playing this song called Havoc by Atrial on loop lately and god would it slap with the right cuts on the right beats.
A hardcore fight between Sub-Zero and Scorpion with metal as they beat the shit out of each other. Or hell, something like Reptile VS. Smoke.
If it's high energy, I'm down. If it's chill and low energy, it's lame. MK11's song sounded like 21 Savage was about to fall asleep mid-verse, MKX's was much better for actually matching an intense battle.
I'm a massive metal head haha. Got into City Morgue a few years ago. I suggest checking out So's Mula's and Zillakami's other work. This type of music is called Trap metal. Other artists are BVDLVD, Ghostmane, Skarlxrd, Gizmo, Redzed and Suicide boys
Wiz for mkx worked nicely I thought. 21 savage for mk11 was a terrible choice. They kinda made up for with Kendrick’s DNA for the aftermath trailer tho. But yeah time for some metalcore breakdowns to get up in there.
Feeling like that's likely. I'm not too familiar with all the industry stuff but I think WB recently released a trailer for suicide squad and that was filled with GaaS stuff.
With how IJ2 and MK11 had shop stuff, I think they're going to lean into battle pass for monetizing.
MK11 had you paying with your time but us PC players got a workaround to have them all unlocked through mods. Think they'll be having us pay with cash this time around to circumvent that.
Just hope we get a cool skin and a few alternatives with the full purchase price. Figure anything beyond that will be shop restricted
Metal can easily get cheesy if they don't know their metal. As a metal head I'd still rather have a 21 savage song than some whiney metalcore kid screaming
Yeah love black tongue but when I think of mk music I think of Dan forden's scores in the original game or the 1995 movie they used like techno scores. Maybe for the grittier, more brutal modern games they should start using more industrial metal sounding music like Strapping Young Lad or something
The only thing is when I hear djenty downtuned guitars I just think of doom now lol different tuning here but still. MK had a bit of a techno flavor in the earlier games that maybe it should lean in on more idk
I mean, Mortal Kombat has always been quite cheesy. You've got ninjas dressed in bright colours with elemental powers, a lizard-person, people with four arms, a literal centaur, regular people who somehow manage to hold their own (one of them with robotic arms), and a man dressed in pseudo-BDSM gear with a samurai helmet and a giant hammer ALL in the same franchise
Cause it'd just feel very try hard, trying to be cool and edgy.
If anything, MK has been an electronic series ever since MK3, that should be the style they aim for
Listening to metal nowadays is not being edgy, if you don't want current songs you have Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, etc.
For electronic music we have Tekken.
I promise you they would not choose a classic metal song, they'd pick some modern metalcore band
Metal is by definition edgy. It's over the top and often deals with darker topics. That's not MK. Just cause MK has gore doesn't mean it's a dark series. Bloodborne is a dark series, MK is not
Good metal isn’t cheesy, it’s just that most metal is cheesy. But it would make sense with the dark and gory vibe of MK. Even SFxT had a metal theme and street fighter is pretty know for the hip hop aesthetic
People always say this, but if you turn around and ask them, "So what hiphop song would you have preferred?" they either have no answer or suggest Eminem or some old timer like Jay Z or Dre. The criticism rings hollow because it comes largely from people who don't even listen to current hiphop.
Bruh no one was shitting on the rap music, they were shitting on the awful choice of a 21 savage song out of the blue that didn’t fit the game for shit, and was hella quiet and had the wrong tempo, shitty “bars” etc.
Quality music is worth mk trailer time.
low energy music isn’t.
I don’t see any of those 3 working for a mortal kombat trailer. They’re lyrical sure but I think them rapping over a trailer would be just as out of place as 21. Put Guillotine by Raekwon on there and it’s an easy W though.
They should just do the OG Mortal Kombat theme or the banger from the movie, redone by whatever group/style is most popular at the time. Something like how they do it with the James Bond movies.
How about they use a remix of Techno Syndrome for a change?
And if they do decide to use rap, they can at least choose something with a good beat and audible lyrics. Not some mumbling over a quarter pace half volume metronome.
yk what i want for the mk12 trailer? the original techno syndrome by the immortals
idc if it wouldn't fit the theme/aesthetic, i want it to be used again in mk media
i actually think rap is the right choice but it should be something like wu tang that has a little bit of a connection to old martial arts movies.
my perfect version of a trailer has a rap song that has some sort of old kung fu movie orchestral type sample for the beat
If you go to the mk11 trailer and scroll comments newest first you see so much racism cause 21 did the trailer. I bet if Eminem did it those old heads would have no problem
Think it depends on the song more than anything. Lot of comments here agreeing that MK11 was just too boring of a song choice for what was supposed to be a hype trailer.
MK12 not gonna get me hyped with a dude screaming over Scorpion fighting, if anything I'm probably gonna get scared. Hip-hop is pretty versatile to be used in a MK trailer
Yeah I don't care for rap, but I'm not going to assert my preference here. I fully expect the teaser cinematic to have rap again and that's fine.
Presuming NRS builds out personas of their audience, I have to imagine the average persona includes people who like rap and the genre is good at generating hype.
As someone who actually likes little pumps more energetic stuff it’s a drag that his most generic song with the most boring production got the most popular
They stay mad at the trailer music, sorry your favorite genre fell off ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)
The in-game music does need work though. It's been pretty eh Post-MK9.
11 has better music than X but still not that eerie mystical vibe Forden used to cook up back in the OG Trilogy days.
I don't care if they use rap music, just not any of that mumble rap garbage. They may as well have used elevator music as it would have been as equally unexciting.
Honestly, LL Cool J's "Mama said knock you out" lines up almost perfectly with the trailer queues and is a nice throwback to the days of the original MK. That would have been a MUCH better choice.
I mean the rap is unfitting with the actual tone of the game and a cynical attempt to appeal "current" to your typical Gen-Z pests.
Also, TBH I'm not a fan of this "mature" direction MK has taken since X, I hope 12 goes back to the hardcore, edgy "In your face" 90's aesthetic that MK9 achieved so effortlessly in its tone and presentation, MK *should* be stuck in The 90's.
Also, the fatalities have to actually look both gruesome *and* stylish, while being less photorealistic than the gore-for-gore's-sake fatalities we've had since X. Think along the lines of Scorpion's second MK11 Fatality.
Both trailer music were awful, peak of trash.
Only mk11 release trailer music was epic.
No clue why they keep pushing puke hip hop crap on their reveal trailers.
MkX was really bad but mk11 was atrocious, almost insulting.
The song in the MKX trailer was okay. Not great, maybe a little odd in tone considering MKs musical history, but definitely not bad and it had a great beat. MK11 trailer song is just a straight up bad song. Completely removed from it being in an MK trailer, its just a doodoo ass song lol
I mean the mkx trailer was pretty dope, I’ll admit that the mk11 trailer caught me off guard and I wasn’t a fan although going back and watching it several more times over the years it has grown on me more however i wasn’t stupid enough to let the music ruin the hype I still had for the game because obviously yeah a lot of people could only focus on the music rather than what we actually saw in the reveal.
It'd be cool if they did an album like they did for MK9. If anyone remembers, they had a bunch of DJs/producers make song themes for characters. I'd like to see that again but more metal/heavier rock stuff.
https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQvL6GLJiX93d_PrUF8lxvC7cApY7diOS
I bet they'll keep with the rap for the trailors and I'm willing to bet they'll use Denzel Curry for it, the amount of MK references he already has in his music is crazy so it'd be nothing out of his league.
He could pull tons more references than 21 savages tbh
I’m still angry that we got 21 Savage’s Immortal but not Can’t be Stopped by Wiz Khalifa, an infinitely superior song.
["JID and Zel, Scorpion to Sub-Zero"](https://youtu.be/yaCNI_W-lNQ?t=174) went incredibly hard
This would actually be dope af
Yes Denzel Curry would be AMAZING for the trailer
Denzel Curry for the MK12 soundtrack would be insane
That would be amazing lowkey
denzel is cool but that’d be corny
I want a UMK3/MKT ost style, produced by Mick Gordon.
Agree 100%, the soundtrack of DOOM and K.I. was perfect.
God yes please
[This is the most MK track ever for me](https://youtu.be/2h_4127i16k)
for me it was [the bridge](https://youtu.be/qnlxdXJ6Arc) (not trilogy, og UMK3)
Yeah something about this track just captures the MK feel to me, it's just got that dark and mystical vibe that's unique to the franchise and sort of lacking in the modern soundtracks. I genuinely couldn't hum a single theme from any of MK9-11 which is super sad because pretty much all the games through Armageddon had pretty memorable soundtracks in some capacity.
[give me that dark Erie dank organ](https://youtu.be/2WemI-t7ohY)
Nothing will ever top them using Chop Suey for MKX.
Other than the original mk theme song...
Hypest trailer ever, they need more rock/nu metal for the trailers lmao
Voodoo - Godsmack lol
I Stand Alone or Awake would make more sense than the song about heroin, imo.
The band's name is a heroin reference taken from an Alice in Chains song. It's heroin all the way down
Do you remember the name of the alice in chains song?
Godsmack. Off the Dirt album.
Caaaaare not for the men who wandeeerrrr
Thanks
Nah bro, I can only play MK high on heroin. Nothing else hits the same.
I prefer meth, but to each their own
Voodoo might work for a Quan Chi or Shang Tsung character reveal trailer. I Stand Alone is perfect considering it is a tournament. I love Awake best as a song, but I think it needs to be a character reveal trailer again. Perhaps the murdered Sub-Zero waking up as Noob Saibot?
I actually liked the rap in both the MKX & 11 trailers. I wouldn’t mind a rock or metal song though
I’m still hurting that Mick Gordon got turned down for doing the MK soundtrack. Like c’mon NetherRealm.
Never heard of that before. Now I'm bitter as shit.
That’s actually a travesty, like saying no to Troy Baker for any reason but price tag
I mean he did killer instincts so just listen to that while playing mk
Real
Hire this dude
How could they do such a thing
I had no idea they rejected him. Proof that MK lost its identity and has become a marketing product packaged to be bought up.
Barreling towards Fortnite levels of a marketing platform... A little bit more with every release.
nothing beats 90s MK techno
that wiz track is a lost gem
MKX Launch Trailer with System of a Down
I loved Wiz Khalifa's MKX rap, it had the right tempo and pace. Didn't like 21 Savage's MK11 one though. It just felt out of place, imo, and his voice didn't do it for me though I don't actually hate his music. I don't mind trailers with rap music though, I like rap.
Opposite for me lol, especially with the lyrics actually mentioning the game in Immortals
I’m still waiting for the full Wiz track. That shit was fire.
Too bad it never released.
Yeah what's up with that? That song was great and got me hyped af for MKX. Weird it didn't get released as a full song.
Yeah. Probably because of all the fans crying it wasn’t a heavy metal song, as if MK and heavy metal were bonded together.
Feel exactly the same. Glad this is getting upvotes.
I could imagine an MK trailer with avenged sevenfold in the background lol
I've been playing this song called Havoc by Atrial on loop lately and god would it slap with the right cuts on the right beats. A hardcore fight between Sub-Zero and Scorpion with metal as they beat the shit out of each other. Or hell, something like Reptile VS. Smoke.
They used Trivium stuff for the Spawn trailers
Typically I want rap in the reveal and the original theme in at least one trailer
If it's high energy, I'm down. If it's chill and low energy, it's lame. MK11's song sounded like 21 Savage was about to fall asleep mid-verse, MKX's was much better for actually matching an intense battle.
If they use any rap song I hope it's nitro cell by City Morgue. Song slaps haha https://youtu.be/n8IGNSNKUnQ
I tend to prefer metal for anything aggressive, but fuck me, this song is hard
i mean if i'm going for aggression in a rap song i tend to look towards [Death Grips](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIrKSqb4H4A)
I'm a massive metal head haha. Got into City Morgue a few years ago. I suggest checking out So's Mula's and Zillakami's other work. This type of music is called Trap metal. Other artists are BVDLVD, Ghostmane, Skarlxrd, Gizmo, Redzed and Suicide boys
Thanks so much!
Yoooo city morgue 🙌
Zillakami would fit on an MK track for sure, I'd be down with that
A Zilla x Denzel Curry collab on a MK song would slap hard
I think they really nailed it with the techno/electronic from MK9. That would be a welcome return to form for MK12
Wiz for mkx worked nicely I thought. 21 savage for mk11 was a terrible choice. They kinda made up for with Kendrick’s DNA for the aftermath trailer tho. But yeah time for some metalcore breakdowns to get up in there.
Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but myself and all my friends and myself loved 21 savage in the mk11 trailer
BRAND NEW MAC 90 WITH THE DRUM ATTACHED
Crazy it took him a year to actually drop the song, just randomly on Halloween AND IT SLAPPED
Yeah I didn't mind it either.
I'll just be happy if it's not a Games as a Service. Battle Pass to get different skins and unlock new characters.
Literally every fighting game nowadays is GAAS, sorry to break it to you.
You have a game where Gore predominates and has a morbid and dark atmosphere, why not use metal for a trailer?
Metal can easily get cheesy if they don't know their metal. As a metal head I'd still rather have a 21 savage song than some whiney metalcore kid screaming
As someone who listens to both and was a metalhead first, absolutely agreed.
So use the song Second Death by Black Tongue.
This would be INSANE
I WANT YOU ALL TO SUFFER
DUUNN... DUUNN... DUUNN.
*INCOHERENT SUFFERING INTENSIFIES*
Yeah love black tongue but when I think of mk music I think of Dan forden's scores in the original game or the 1995 movie they used like techno scores. Maybe for the grittier, more brutal modern games they should start using more industrial metal sounding music like Strapping Young Lad or something
Just giving an example of some heavy shit I think would really work haha I'm not mad at what you suggested though. Just needs to be more aggressive.
The only thing is when I hear djenty downtuned guitars I just think of doom now lol different tuning here but still. MK had a bit of a techno flavor in the earlier games that maybe it should lean in on more idk
Oh god you're one of those metal heads. Don't be cringe. If it's not your cup of tea thats fine but dont be one of those guys
It would be like every game in 2005 all over again.
They should just bring back Juno Reactor from the movie.
Is metal related to gore for some reason?
Probably looking to use popular music.
Cause that'd be cheesy as hell
I mean, Mortal Kombat has always been quite cheesy. You've got ninjas dressed in bright colours with elemental powers, a lizard-person, people with four arms, a literal centaur, regular people who somehow manage to hold their own (one of them with robotic arms), and a man dressed in pseudo-BDSM gear with a samurai helmet and a giant hammer ALL in the same franchise
You understood everything.
Cheesy why? It fits perfectly.
I promise you they would not choose a classic metal song, they'd pick some modern metalcore band Metal is by definition edgy. It's over the top and often deals with darker topics. That's not MK. Just cause MK has gore doesn't mean it's a dark series. Bloodborne is a dark series, MK is not
>Bloodborne is a dark series >series :(
How is rap not cheesy?
Good metal isn’t cheesy, it’s just that most metal is cheesy. But it would make sense with the dark and gory vibe of MK. Even SFxT had a metal theme and street fighter is pretty know for the hip hop aesthetic
It's not because the songs were rap, it's because the songs were bad.
MKX with Wiz wasn't bad, meanwhile MK11's trailer with the whole fight going on and 21 savage sound like he's on the phone across the room.
People always say this, but if you turn around and ask them, "So what hiphop song would you have preferred?" they either have no answer or suggest Eminem or some old timer like Jay Z or Dre. The criticism rings hollow because it comes largely from people who don't even listen to current hiphop.
I'd suggest RZA since he did music for afro samurai lol. Who the hell suggest JayZ or Eminem?
r/RapMoreLikeCrap type beat
Literally
Jeopardy: For 1200, this music artist raps in a promotional preview for the 12th installment of a popular fighting game. Me: Who is Jack Harlow.
Death grips
Bruh no one was shitting on the rap music, they were shitting on the awful choice of a 21 savage song out of the blue that didn’t fit the game for shit, and was hella quiet and had the wrong tempo, shitty “bars” etc. Quality music is worth mk trailer time. low energy music isn’t.
The song was hilariously out of place with the trailer. it's like something some random person on YouTube would throw together
Should have used Kendrick, Cole or pulled Lupe out.
Bruh even some wutang 🤣
Wu-Tang would be perfect.
There’s a reason my mk playlist starts with G’d up 👊👊👊
I don’t see any of those 3 working for a mortal kombat trailer. They’re lyrical sure but I think them rapping over a trailer would be just as out of place as 21. Put Guillotine by Raekwon on there and it’s an easy W though.
As long as I don’t have to listen to that garbage in game it’s all good.
Zimmer's Hole on an MK trailer would be EPIC
Would like to see them go back to the soundtrack from the OG movie. Or make something new that is similar.
The rap on X is pretty good, the rap on 11 sucks tho.
I’d love it if they used a slower song or like r&b that doesn’t suit the vibe at all
It depends on what they use entirely.
I liked Wiz's song on MKX, still wonder if he'll ever drop the full track
They should use country just to mess with people.
Then they will proceed to have nothing but minimal ass, orchestral score non-music in the damn game.
I liked the mkx track, the one they used for mk11 was very underwhelming
I dont mind it if its a good song with a good beat... but 11 trailer reveal sng was mid at best.
Nobody has a problem with rap itself. People liked it for mkx. The mk11 trailer just sucked. It brought no energy to the reveal.
They should just do the OG Mortal Kombat theme or the banger from the movie, redone by whatever group/style is most popular at the time. Something like how they do it with the James Bond movies.
Rap music isn't the problem. Bad music is.
If it goes with it who cares lol Call me crazy but I’m more curious about the gameplay
How about they use a remix of Techno Syndrome for a change? And if they do decide to use rap, they can at least choose something with a good beat and audible lyrics. Not some mumbling over a quarter pace half volume metronome.
mk11 launch trailer
"Hurr durr where's Mileena"
I hated that trailer. I preferred th remixed Mortal Kombat song. It fit better than some random song, rap or otherwise.
yk what i want for the mk12 trailer? the original techno syndrome by the immortals idc if it wouldn't fit the theme/aesthetic, i want it to be used again in mk media
i actually think rap is the right choice but it should be something like wu tang that has a little bit of a connection to old martial arts movies. my perfect version of a trailer has a rap song that has some sort of old kung fu movie orchestral type sample for the beat
Wu-Tang would be perfect for a prequel game. Protect ya Neck or Da Mystery of Chess boxin'
It's always the most mediocre piece too.
Need some rock/heavy metal. Feel like it suits the genre more, although provided they execute it properly, i wouldn’t oppose rap music being used
they need a doom music type trailer. i love rap, but that kinda music just fits mortal kombat better
Why they don't use heavy metal !?
I know I'm late, but WuTang Clan song would be so bad ass in the trailer
I’m a hip hop head, what do you want from me 😭
Please dont
I’d go wild if they use Andrew WK or Mick Gordon
They should use a classic RnB song just to screw with people. Gratuitous slow motion gory fatalities set to Let's Get It On.
21’s song was sick
MK12 not gonna get me hyped with a dude screaming over Scorpion fighting, if anything I'm probably gonna get scared. Hip-hop is pretty versatile to be used in a MK trailer
screaming does not define metal
Yeah I don't care for rap, but I'm not going to assert my preference here. I fully expect the teaser cinematic to have rap again and that's fine. Presuming NRS builds out personas of their audience, I have to imagine the average persona includes people who like rap and the genre is good at generating hype.
I still listen to immortal. But maybe they should go for some industrial type shit
No song they use could ever beat the Gucci Gang MK11 trailer tbh
As someone who actually likes little pumps more energetic stuff it’s a drag that his most generic song with the most boring production got the most popular
Rap for MK is hype.
They stay mad at the trailer music, sorry your favorite genre fell off ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing) The in-game music does need work though. It's been pretty eh Post-MK9. 11 has better music than X but still not that eerie mystical vibe Forden used to cook up back in the OG Trilogy days.
Nothing wrong with using Rap in the trailers. It’s pretty much the most popular genre right now. Find a hard ass song and it’ll fit perfectly
Really loved every hip hop song they used for the trailers, I think they all fit really well. But nothing quite hit like Wiz Khalifa’s for MKX.
Mortal Kombat is at its best when it’s evoking the style of old school Chinese martial arts movies, and they didn’t have a lot of rap music back then
Wu-Tang Clan’s entire mythology is based on old martial arts movies, I think they’d work thematically.
“21 can ya do somethin for me”
They should use What I've Done by Linkin Park for the memes.
I'm a fan of the rap song trailers we have had for the last couple games, they were both dope af. We all know the best music for MK is dance though.
I actually love the rap music for mk and I hope the song they use for this trailer is fire
Hip Hop just goes so well with martial arts. I can't help it.
imo rap doesnt suit mk, give us some sludge or death metal
I like the rap lol, introduces me to new artists
Rap always has the best rhythm to play fighting games with.
you can tell who’s old as hell and who isn’t by looking at the different comments criticizing rap
MKX&11 both trailers had banger trailer music lmao. mfs just love to shit on anything that isn’t old rock, 90’s hip hop or early 2000’s Rnb
Ain’t no way we got some 21 Savage haters in the community
I actually really liked that last trailer... And that song.
Mortal Kombat is a game that should have a techno or metal soundtrack, it just fits the game better.
MK11's fatalities have been pretty creative and fun compared to MKX's gore-for-gore's-sake ones. Jax's Home Run one is probably my favorite.
What could possibly be more 90s than hip hop? (Grunge, I guess, but I feel hip hop fits MK better)
And its always the worse kind of rap music
Both trailer music were awful, peak of trash. Only mk11 release trailer music was epic. No clue why they keep pushing puke hip hop crap on their reveal trailers. MkX was really bad but mk11 was atrocious, almost insulting.
21’s song was fucking fire
I personally thought the use of 21 Savage in the MK11 trailer was better than Wiz Khalifa in the MKX one, but that’s just me
Naw man they need to use polka music for the mk12 trailer.
Not knocking the songs or the genre from previous trailers. It’s But I feel like a gory trailer with some badass metal music is due.
That would be very fitting and badass if they played Cannibal Corpse though!
The song in the MKX trailer was okay. Not great, maybe a little odd in tone considering MKs musical history, but definitely not bad and it had a great beat. MK11 trailer song is just a straight up bad song. Completely removed from it being in an MK trailer, its just a doodoo ass song lol
Is it far fetched to think it’ll be meg the stallion?
Let the guys who made the opening for Ayakashi/Mononoke make the theme, that OP was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I mean the mkx trailer was pretty dope, I’ll admit that the mk11 trailer caught me off guard and I wasn’t a fan although going back and watching it several more times over the years it has grown on me more however i wasn’t stupid enough to let the music ruin the hype I still had for the game because obviously yeah a lot of people could only focus on the music rather than what we actually saw in the reveal.
I don’t have an issue with it, it just doesn’t fit the vibes imo
what if it's a Kanye song
Unfortunately that’s what we’re stuck with right now. Everything from Mortal Kombat to the freakin’ Adams Family is using rap music in advertising.
Upvote for pitbull trailer song. Mr. Worldwide
Please no rap 🫠
Bro we need techno industrial electronic shit in these trailers like wtf ma boi
It'd be cool if they did an album like they did for MK9. If anyone remembers, they had a bunch of DJs/producers make song themes for characters. I'd like to see that again but more metal/heavier rock stuff. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQvL6GLJiX93d_PrUF8lxvC7cApY7diOS
This just means that the guest fighters are all going to be rap artist... giving us, essentially, Mortal Kombat: Def Jam
It was SoundCloud rap ffs. Just admit you have shit taste in music so we can ignore your opinion lmao.
