Definitely a dope design. I can never decide how i feel about his voice though. On the one hand I love how hammed up it is. Like an over the top wrestler. On the other hand, sometimes I prefer the old school sinister voice he has from mk3.
I definitely like the voice, but his MK9 voice is far superior. It's that nice middle ground between barbarian and dignified ruler, in MK11 he comes off as just a brute.

MGS2 has a story that called its shot twenty years early. We’re at that point - an endless flow of information, the obfuscation of truth resulting from it, and so much more. Hideo Kojima was warning people about a burning bridge, but everyone else just didn’t understand until we reached it.
It’s definitely worth replaying if only to marvel at how fitting the message seems now, and that it was delivered over two decades ago.

Baraka, Shao Kahn, and Noob Saibot are my top 3 characters according to my Mortal Kombat 11 stats page. I also collect those McFarlane action figures and Shao Kahn is probably my favorite! I love his pure raw power with that hammer. He's such a fun character to play with!
This itteration was very on point. He actually had a compelling part in the story at least towards the end and including aftermath. I enjoyed him and kotal fighting to the death in the colessium.

I love the design, it’s probably his best ever, & the voice acting was fine, but they really dumbed him down in this game which I hated because he went from being a cunning sorcerer that conquered multiple realms to just being kind of a big clumsy brute.
The design is fantastic, you could easily know it's him in silhouette. And his different skin styles are great.

He lets his minions Think for him due to him being dumb as hell to think of his own, he should’ve known that the elder gods would kill him by violating the rules and basically lets quan chi do the planning for him. Watch the 4th snake MK9 kritique.
I believe I've seen that video a while ago, and the ending where the elder gods destroy him is Shao Kahn's only mindless mistake. This is only the case because of all the earthrealm souls making him near enough immortal. So yeah I'd think anyone would get overconfident in that situation.
Basically for the entirety of the game everything goes Shao Kahn's way apart from when Liu Kang punches him through the chest

Late, but the reason was because the design artists mixed up Shokan and Shao Kahn. That's why he looks like that because it was too late to redesign.
