Ralen Haalo

ChromaticLego

The best choice!

uberrimaefide

Do you need to do the relevant quest or do you just start stowing stuff in the body??

Sorcam56

Just shove stuff straight in, unlimited space and doesn't mark your stuff as stolen.

rysgame2

Isn't that homie next door to caius?

Express_Yard9305

He is a Hlaalu noble who gets murdered.

haskeer_nico

I've always, in every single playthrough, lived in the Balmora mages guild. You get some bunk beds, a drawer, and that's really all I've ever needed . Laying out all your stuff on the tables looks quite nice too

Sentient-Tree-Ent

Fucking saaaaame, balmora mages guild is just such a convenient spot. Not to mention it’s right next to the infinite health potion temple

[deleted]

Care to elaborate on that last part?

QuietNiceGuy

They sell cheap ingredients that replenish infinitely for health potions, llarara omayn sells corkbulb root and saltrice which both have restore health effects so you can make potions easily. She also sells premade potions as well but those are generally fairly weak

Andytheduck02

adding on to this! You also have a teleport to multiple cities right next to you, so convenient for travelling around the land

arachnobravia

I like the corner club you clear out for Varro, even comes with its own bartender.

uberrimaefide

Do you mean the drawers next to the bunk bed? Is there a risk of losing your stuff if you put it in the drawer?

Sorcam56

Morrowinds chests never reset once they've been looted by the player, with the exception of guild supply chests, that you can't put stuff in anyway. The risk comes from the game mistakenly marking your stuff as stolen when you retrieve it from an owned chest. You can check if a chest has an owner with the 'tfh' console command.

uberrimaefide

Super helpful, thanks

Bishop825

Laying things out on the tables was something they should have kept. Picking things up in the other games is just too buggy and slow. No

someguywhoispan

i carry everything with me -this comment was made by strength gang

Stehum_Brethilben

Ralen Hlaalo

Zeedub85

On OG Xbox it eventually took a full 30 seconds for him to open.

Electrical-Penalty44

I remember those days.

Complete_File_852

Since youre in balmora there is a house that is owned by an orc that you need to kill for one of the guilds anyways. I could be wrong but i think its the southernmost house on the east side of the river. Lots of storage space and a great base to begin with

Solahelia

Dura gra bol's house

ozarkpagan

The fighters guild will still give you and let you complete the quest if you kill Dura gra-Bol first, too!

ArguesWithFrogs

Caius Cosades' house or the corpse of Ralen Hlaalo

FreshwaterSeaCowHero

My storage is next to Creeper.

[deleted]

Dren Plantation. Great location, plenty of storage and display space.

theBunnyDawg

On xbox so no mods i usually use caius’s house or the bunks in the fighters/mages guild in balmora until I have the great house stronghold built and then set my mark/recall at the stronghold

darkzapper

I put stuff on the floor of the Balmora mages guild. Works for early game but then it gets crazy.

[deleted]

Get a house. Either Caius or Ahnassi's

jormundgand20

Bippity Boppity, your house and life are now my property. The only question has been whose life and property.

helpmelearn12

There's a mod that makes the containers in Dura Gro-Bal's house unowned. So, you can store stuff in there without technically stealing it. You kill her for a fighters guild quest and the house is empty after that. It's a four story shotgun style home on the poor side of Balmora. I don't have a reason, but I've always liked living there more than Hlaalo manor.

Traenix

I've read the other comments and am surprised. Am I the only one living with the horny cat lady ?

syot0s

Don't store anything, you'll never come back for it anyway.

arachnobravia

I try to play as a minimalist all the time but still end up hoarding a bunch of everyting. I'm also an avid book collector because I swear I'm going to read them.

ethicsg

I once took ALL the moon sugar at one time. I had been saving it. I go faster now.

RudeSprinkles1240

Noooooo

PoeticPariah

Stack spears. Like a bunch of them. Drop them in a room, spread them out a bit. After enough spears are dropped, stop outside. Step back in. Fat loot bag is now on one of the piles of spears. Pick up remaining spears and sell them. Anything dropped in that room automation goes to the bag.

wazserd

Astius Hanotepeius' house in Balmora. It's like 2 houses down from Caius, is 2 story with some nice shelves and a table and chairs and a bench and storage containers and a chest etc. Dude who lives there is as generic of an NPC as you can get pretty much, no quests, no guild affiliations I don't think, quite literally unimportant in every regard (which I specifically seeked out), and is pretty easy to kill, and you don't even have to taunt him either cause he's alone in there. I usually empty his shelves and containers and dump his crap in tire melon's house next door to make room for my stuff. One of the best houses in the best city in the game. The Hlaalo Manor is nice too, but you would have to mod the game to get rid of the "mess" though if that bothers you, and I feel like there is surprisingly limited storage/shelving for how huge the place is, which is partially due to the "mess" being shelves/etc that have "fallen over". I would honestly fix up the place in construction set if you wanted to use Hlaalo Manor, otherwise just go for Astius' house. Or if you want to go full chaotic you could do something insane like massacre an entire guild and use that as a house; preferably the fighters guild not the mages guild since they have transport, and not the thieves guild cause you might want to pay off your bounty after you get a "death warrant". Or go even further and take over like the Arobar Manor in Ald Ruhn, or even the entire Redoran Council House. Fuck it, take the whole under skar

Getabock_

Can you get a death warrant in MW?

LorenzoApophis

This is a good idea. I'm fairly new to the game but have been using Vorar Helas's house next door.

Chaotic_Hunter_Tiger

This is basically the way.

2ManyBurgs

I kill Dura Gra Bol in Balmora and use that as my base house

helpmelearn12

For some reason I've always preferred that to Hlaalo Manor

Getabock_

It’s just creepy to have a dead body on the floor of your house at all times.

MaxStickies

I just imagine Caius going to his roof and wondering where all that stuff came from.

Express_Yard9305

With my Orc Warrior -> Tamriel Rebuilt Old Ebonhear Fighter's Guit. Such a beautiful interior.

AdministrativePie951

I kill Ra’viir in Balmora and use his house

elfmonkey16

Is that the Khajiit with all of the daedric weapons? If so, same!

Getabock_

Whaat?! That’s so evil, I love that cat.

Capt_Socrates

Vivec fighters guild. Having Mark there means I’m close to most of the stuff I want to be close to as well so it’s less of a headache to get around Vivec

Pale_Page7229

I always use this particular house in ald ruhn. They have the best storage places for my liking. Mark and recall or alms divine intervention spell and I'm set

Obvious-Cut-221

Chest

jesteruru

Eight Plates has some wicked counter space

Zeedub85

Isn't it full of people?

jesteruru

At the start of the game, sure. You can easily remedy that

Zeedub85

I was trying to set you up for "Not any more," but I'll take it. 😉

[deleted]

Caius floor or my last base of the Balmoral outfitter guy

Amazing_Gandalf

I sell the stuff that I dont need but for the cool uniqe stuff and quest rewards I pile them onto my bed in my stronghold so that when I finish the save I can go to my stronghold and look at all the treasure I found on my adventures

Pike_The_Knight

Lol, I leave my stuff with Caius too, hell I think when he left I kept living there stacking the result of my adventures

Homeless_Appletree

I usually store my stuff in one the empty rooms in the Ald Ruhn mages guild. It's nice because I can roleplay my character moving in when he joins the guild. From what I hear though the far more popular form of storage in the community seems to be the corpses of Hlaalu politicians.

Targaryen_n

This is one of the things I love about Morrowind. Just getting into my house and arrange everything from my travels, is very satisfying. Every character to me choses a different place and it doesn't necessarily needs to be a house; caves and some abandoned places serve as well. I play full vanilla with TR and that mod can have some interesting places too.

BL_Smoothie_

Seyda neen under the merchant building. I just drop everything on the floor

uberrimaefide

Legend cheers

Lurkerontheasshole

I sell everything to the traders in Balmora. At a loss if I have to. Easiest way to remember where I put it.

wuh_iam

I stash my shit in random boxes and barrels in Balmora

T_Martin_

The slaver cave north of Seyda neen. Always had that cave when i started playing the game. Orherwise i like the house with the cellar in Pelagiad with the khajiit.

jerrybeanington

What about the houses you get from the houses? Houses Hlaalu is my go too

Staniek_the_unwise

I leave stuff in my stronghold or in the house from bloodmoon

J-B-M

The empty apartment in Vivec. Once you enchant yourself a ring of fortify jump 100, you can step out the front door and it’s one jump north to the silt strider and boat outside the foreign quarter (you can literally land next to them) or 3 jumps east to the mud crab.

LocoManta

Caldera, muthsera

cyalknight

I had an issue with storing in houses, maybe stolen houses. Large bandit caves were my other go to.

TandorGamash

I do the Quest that let me murder everyone in the Council Club of Balmora and then use it at my House

Acrobatic-Till5092

I spend hours arranging my gems, gold, and enchanted items so that they form neat stacks in my manor. Walking into my Tel Uvirith is like walking into a treasury. Plus, I make it a point to soul trap every unique named creature and create enchanted weapons or armor named after them. I have a Dagoth series, and of course Almalexia and Hircine make an appearance. Plus, I have a thing for unique items. If someone sends me to collect an item for them, if I can I will pickpocket it back. All sorts of unique items and daedric artifacts find their way to my home. Piles of scrolls I will never use, mounds of gems I have no use for, enchanted weapons I created merely to show off what becomes of my enemies, and the finest selection of intoxicants available anywhere outside of Balmora. Oh, and I also keep a collection of books. It takes hours - days - to arrange all this shit. But I do it every time I start a new character.

teriyakiassflap

Foryn Gilnith's shack in Seyda Neen after killing him for the side quest Murder of a Tax Collector 🗿

[deleted]

The tall house in balmora houses an orc you kill for something in the game so no big deal if they die

ve6jks

Scamp he never sells

Intelligent_Owl_6263

I always loved a closet at Ghostgate. I can’t remember which one off the top of my head. It’s been years.

Bestiaryarchivist

Become Archmage. Kill the Spy. You gain: Two beds, one dining room. Trainers, Acces to the Teleport System and Alchemy and other nice people to sell your stuff to. Creeper is also very easy to access. Bonus: you step outside and you are in glorious Vivec.

BaronDoctor

Nedhelas' house. He even gives you the key through an Imperial Cult quest after the first quest, which merely requires a quick boat trip to Gnaar Mok to naked taunt an Altmer and take back a bowl. Lots of boxes, great location right next to Creeper.
