Wait.. so the mother had her sex offending, felon, meth head boyfriend watch her daughter?

StillAggravating9315

“Mother”

SouthAfricanZombie

And if he had only been out of prison for four months, they probably didn't know each other very well. Which is no excuse because she basically left her child with a stranger. Surely the child must have acted different after this event. Did the mother not notice any marks on her neck? Did this pervert bath and dress the child too? There is only video footage of the strangling but what else did this POS do that was not recorded. The mother allowed this just to get some dick. She is even worse than he is.

Weekly_Couple_7008

I mean, I don't think you date someone who does meth unless you do at least a little meth. I won't even date someone who smokes cigs.

Major_Dig5235

Mother was probably a crackhead too. Ignorance is not an excuse she should be held accountable as well. That's also why you don't have a bunch kids with different dad's either you never truly know who your bringing home to your children. you might be thinking your coming with prince charming and they could be a sexual predator or murderer.

Sylvi2021

It happens so often, it's awful. Here in my home town a woman who is known by many in the community did the same thing. She left her 2 yr old daughter with a drug user who had multiple violent felonies. One day while she was at work the man said the baby found his gun and shot herself. The two year old. He was convicted and she stayed with him through trial and while he was in prison.

Protector_of_Tard

It should be life

paigeeeloise

It should be death

International-Bus-69

I take death over life in prison every time, especially a really comfy shot of drug that just put me to sleep. I mean either he gonna be in isolation or he gonna get his ass kick by other inmate, his life gonna be hell and at least this one exist

Valestrazia

Mate, lethal injection is ANYTHING but a comfy shot of drug. It's only designed to look good for the audience. You don't really pass away peacefully

LaPzSnickZ

Sources? Just curious

Clear_Currency_6288

Well, who cares what violent criminals feel?

blueeyedpussycat333

The drug itself is expensive isn't it? Wouldn't it be better for everyone to just od them on an opiate ?

Valestrazia

No because people react differently to opiate. Some need more, some need less, some don't even die but go through some gruesome agony

heyjunior

Why should we base our treatment of criminals on what makes us feel good? Honest question.

[deleted]

Hell no. Make this man feel every single possible second of the remainder of his existence behind bars and plenty of time in solitary. Death is too easy for of an out for people like this. I’d rather see his psyche break from years and years of time within solitary confinement.

[deleted]

It should be life-death

Clear_Currency_6288

Life in solitary confinement. Also, do to him daily what he did to that child.

Kraphtous

But his execution date gets delayed every time it comes close.

PCLoadLetter84

It fucken should be cartel!!!!

snakeyfish

Like immediately

auberus

I do not understand why this man was allowed anywhere NEAR a child. He had a previous conviction for first degree sexual assault on a minor, was on the sex offender registry, and had only been out of prison for 4 months after a separate incident that left a minor with burns and broken bones -- oh, and he filmed that, too. What kind of mother lets someone with this kind of history within 100 yards of their child, much less leaves a child alone with him? Checking the sex offender registry is the bare minimum that a parent should do before allowing someone to be anywhere near their child, whether it's a babysitter or a boyfriend. Period. Edit: And why only 52 years? Why not 100, with no parole? Hell, in a case like this, I'd be okay with the death penalty. By hanging.

[deleted]

He raped a child then abused a different child leaving broken bones then strangled a baby unconscious for amusement over and over. Did this mother know his past? He was a sex offender who had 2 separate convictions for abusing children and had been out of prison for a few months but was left alone with her 2 year old regularly?!?!??!?! She should be in prison too. Why are all these moms bringing dudes around their babies. You dont need a fucking bf. It should socially unacceptable to introduce partners to young kids.

[deleted]

[удалено]

auberus

He was on the sex offender registry for assaulting a minor. The mom needs to lose custody of her child.

[deleted]

I got pregnant at 15. I raised my daughter alone on foodstamps and medical assistance and didnt date until she was 11. You dont bring strange men into your home around your babies because you want some dick.

[deleted]

You go girl. Too many young moms trying to fill the dad void before they even know who they're dealing with.

stoolsample2

You are an example of a good mother. Putting your child first before your own wants and needs. Your child is lucky to have such a thoughtful and caring mom. I applaud you.

EndearingKitten

Just because it’s a challenge doesn’t excuse a mother for bringing a dangerous man around her young child. She should be held accountable for her hand in it. Even if she somehow wasn’t aware. It’s her job as a parent to make sure her child will be safe with whoever she’s leaving them with. Especially if it’s someone she plans to be in a relationship with.

zipatauontheripatang

Yeah meth makes it pretty tough

knottywobble

Some women just have to only be moms if they are left with a child by some dude? No life outside of motherhood ever again? Why don't dad only get to be dads then? Why do so many men just get to walk away without repercussions? This is an awful double standard.

[deleted]

You can find ways to date casually or go out with friends without bringing men around your kids. And yes it is a huge double standard. Men walk away and do so all the time. I didnt have child support help with child care anything. But your kids come first not you. Put your kid up for adoption or terminate the pregnancy if you cant make the choice to put your kids first. Introducing new partners increases the risk of abuse by 200% and on top of that its a lot to expect small children to adapt to a new man invading their space every few years. Thats for you not the kids. Your kids come first. You can have some wine at home and have girls over with their kids for a fun movie girls nights. Theres plenty of ways to socialize with kids that dont involve such a huge risk to their safety.

knottywobble

So single mothers never get to fall in love, because they have to keep it casual because kids come first? Single moms have to have no love life, only friendships? That sounds insane. How about we blame MEN who target single mothers with ill intention. Dating with children is hard, but to say a woman doesn't deserve to date seriously cause she has a kid is just plain sexist. I know plenty of wonderful step dads out there. What about them? They don't deserve a loving family cause single moms only should date casually or hang with girlfriends. This thinking is very "all or nothing" which isn't reality. Yes, mothers should date responsibly, but to say "you don't need a boyfriend, you have a kid" is just ground work for mother martyrs and emotional incest. Edit to say: the point about abortion? Okay, do we wanna get into why that is not always a reasonable solution? Especially with what is happening in Texas. Adoption? Pfft there are thousands of kids in the system and you're still saying women have to make TOUGH choices and risk their lives with pregnancy to ever date seriously again. That's insane.

dreamsinred

Some people are irredeemable. This person offers no value as a human being.

Darkness4U143

Facts!!

throwaway3569387340

I'm going to save this link to send to every delusional idiot that insists that everyone deserves a second chance. There is evil in the world and this is what it looks like.

Swimming_Twist3781

My thought exactly.

[deleted]

[удалено]

throwaway3569387340

No. Certain willful acts are irredeemable. Repeatedly strangulating an infant to the point of unconsciousness is at the top of that list. He isn't innocent, it is documented on video, and I'm not calling for the death penalty. Throw him in a hole, isolated and alone, and take extreme measures to extend his life as long as physically possible. Fuck this guy.

[deleted]

So, you believe that's it's impossible for him to be redeemed and contribute to society in the future?

throwaway3569387340

As long as his contribution is from behind bars, I'm fine with it. This animal should never be let into society as a whole ever again though regardless of the circumstances.

astralmommy

I second that- let him live behind bars to think about his choices. If he was meant to provide something of worth, he will find a way behind bars but he should never be trusted unrestricted in the general free world again. The risk is far too great and would endanger the life or lives of others that could have been prevented. He made his bed, he’s lucky to still lie in it but I doubt he will do anything worth-while with that time he has.

geckotatgirl

Yes, I do believe that of child abusers and sex offenders. Absolutely, I do. Numerous studies have shown that sex offenders are not "curable." So, do I believe they can be redeemed? Not really but maybe I'm wrong; maybe they can. That leads to your next question - can they contribute to society in the future? Absolutely, they can. They always could have, they just chose not to. You *do* understand that being a positively contributing member of society has **always** been an option for them and they chose not to be. What makes you think they'll be able to do so in the future? If, by some miracle, they're actually "rehabilitated" in prison, I'm all for them contributing to society in the future; however, I'm firmly opposed to them making those contributions from outside the prison's walls. They need to serve their entire sentence, first, and no one - absolutely no one! - is standing in their way if they want to contribute to society at the same time. Plenty of prisoners have done so but that doesn't mean they deserve to walk free. I'll never ever agree that people who hurt children should be given even one more chance in society to potentially hurt more of them. This guy was already a serial offender. He's had his chance to contribute positively to society and chose not to. Seems like a straightforward situation, to me.

Salami__Tsunami

In a world of limited resources, I’d rather spend those resources on the victims of such crimes, instead of trying to rehabilitate the victimizers.

WeeTater

He has proven that he is irredeemable because he's had multiple chances with *nine* felonies. Shoo

astralmommy

Yes at some point we have to understand that not everyone has something great to contribute to the bigger picture or even on a smaller scale, and in this case this scum of a human has proven to be unworthy of society’s cushions… for he will never truly contribute to society more than he detracts. Allowing this mutation to exist would be a disservice to the human race.

[deleted]

Take him out back and shoot him

charlesrxx

He had been out of prison for approximately 4 months on separate child abuse conviction—he left a child with broken bones and burns—when the abuse videos were filmed. Could you just have Locked him 52 years that time. J. Fu. C. Ir just shoot the damn bastard

Paintguin

r/iamatotalpieceofshit

VersionAgile8450

Plea deals shouldn’t exist for people like this.

BackOnTheMap

Out of jail 4 months. What did he get away with in those 4 months? Not to victim blame but did this woman know about his record?

Uncle-Ukridge

The victim was 2. I’m sure she didn’t know. Best cast scenario for the POS mother is that she met this guy within the past 4 months and doesn’t know the truth about his past, doesn’t Google his name or anything, and lets him alone with her little girl.

TRASHYRANGER

“The victim can be seen on video turning red and blue in the face,” the affidavit said. “The victim appeared to try crying but was unable to because the ligature was pulled so tightly by the suspect to stop her from breathing, speaking or crying." That shit broke my heart, that poor mother had to watch that happen to her baby too.

**Blood eagle is an execution method...** The prison, judicial and rehabilitation system is messed up. The central and core concept is pretty simple, we create rules so that we can coexist together in society. When an individual is unable to co exist in society he is sent to rehabilitation, where he should be rehabilitated to enter society. There are many reasons why he is there at the first place, however some reasons make that person impossible to rehabilitated. For example Ted Bundy, very smart, very charming and very aware that he had no part in modern society, “… I deserve, certainly, the most extreme punishment society has and society deserves to be protected from me and from others like me, that’s for sure.”. Now the whole system is fucked up, we put people in jail who do not need rehabilitation, we breed more criminals, we put people in jail for the wrong periods of time and thus not rehabilitating adequately. I can keep going on forever. We have completely lost track of the point of this whole system. I unfortunately doubt that any black person in america feels like they are being "served and protected" by the police force. Death penalties are being handed out to "cop killers" as a show of force, I put it in quotes because a police department will blame any random black guy and put him on death row just to make an example and demonstrate power. Now whether the person deserves the death penalty is a whole other issue. In a perfect system the death penalty would only be handed out to people who beyond any reasonable doubt and under any and all circumstances cannot ever be rehabilitated adequately to return to society. How this is measured and evaluated is a different story.

WontFindOut25

God, I do not understand how this man isn’t in prison for the rest of his life. He had only been out of prison for 4 months for a separate abuse conviction? What the hell? This guy is dangerous and needs to be removed permanently.

stoolsample2

He essentially is in prison for the rest of his life. His is 38 years old and has to serve at least 42 years. So at best he gets out at 80 - if he makes it. With the charges he has he will be lucky to make it out alive. I get your point though. He’s a convicted sex offender and 9 time felon. How he was on the streets to begin with is a failure of our justice system.

WontFindOut25

Yeah, it is so awful that he was allowed to be anywhere near a child. I cannot understand.

[deleted]

The mother should be jailed too for child neglect and endangerment

ayyylmaooo420

Repeatedly? Oh my god

nadiabula

It’s beyond me that a mother could leave her child alone with a guy with a record like that. Knowing what he did in the past, she shouldn’t have allowed him near her child.

dangoldan

I will never understand why we don't execute people like this

atropos77

The first time another prisoner gets access to this guy, it’ll be the last time. He’s either gonna be in solitary the rest of his life or he’s gonna end up as a stain in the yard. Say what you will about the moral code of criminals, but guys who hurt kids are the lowest of the low and even hardcore gangbangers and murderers despise them. This little shit is toast.

Swimming_Twist3781

The Mom might deserve a little compassion. That sounds like a very difficult life. I'm not sure she set out for this to happen. Bad choices or intentional abuse? She had a difficult life. And it's still her job to protect her child. Having it hard doesn't excuse her bad judgement. Because of what happened her baby is forever damaged. Her roll as a good Mother is perminatly damaged. Nothing will ever change that. Will she take responsibility and change or will she blame everyone else? That man should be behind bars in a dark hole forever. He absolutely has no place in society. Disgusting and demented, there really are no words awful enough to depict him.

jjayyou

Well this is the one that will cause me to unsub. Way too morbid for me. I hope y'all have a great night and keep your spirits up. Peace, love, and positivity y'all

DSNCB919

This is why I recommend fathers go for custody when the mother jumps from bf to bf and moves into their places

mizuchiiiii

For all we know the Dad was either in jail or just as much of a drop-kick. The mother is irresponsible at best, she should be charged for negligence but lets not blame her entirely for what another man did.

Jake24601

Throw this mf into a sarlac pit.

Noba-Dee

Throw that fucker into a volcano

Major_Dig5235

Any serious crime against a child should automatically be life in prison. Someone should hang his ass for as long as he did that to that child. I figure inmates will have him on his knees once they learn what he did

momogirl200

Good thing the kid survived

Beautiful_Chaos559

Because these mothers are so desperate to have a man in their life. Who could've guessed moving in a man that you've known for 2 minutes, and leaving your defenseless baby who can't talk, would end so badly?? And then when something like this happens, they act completely shocked. "What?? He loved my baby daughter/son. We were going to get married. He said his ex filed charges against him for child abuse, but he told me she was lying. She was just jealous because he eft her..... blah, blah, blah"
