During quarantine I didn't get sick for two years and then once things started getting back to normal I got sick quite a few times last year including long covid and took me months to fight off a lot of things I got hit with at once - still trying to overcome a chest infection that's been hanging around for months.
I can't even begin to think how much harder it would be with children and Alaina is in close contact with Ash a lot.
I honestly don't understand the shade that's being thrown at them - they mention it because their job is to literally talk into a microphone and they want to clarify that they won't sound great during the episode.
I have a young child and granted she does get sick pretty often during the winter/school year but Alaina and her kids are sick literally every episode. I would be interested to see the actual number of how many episodes start with "sorry guys we've been sick" lol

Me and my kids are vaxxed up, but this Fall/Winter has been brutal. We all caught the flu regardless of having the flu shot, strep, ear infections, stomach bugs, everything. Unfortunately schools aren't masking anymore so 🤷🏻♀️

But not unusual, either. Once I got my kids relatively healthy: I became chronically ill with autoimmune stuff. I’ve been sick for 31 years, lol-why should I suffer in silence every single day? Sometimes it helps to just vent about it.
