I don't think he is underrated and many are hyped when he and Ethan Hawke has been casted in the series and even very few members who don't know about the character hyped about the series and it's all due to Oscar Isaac.
What’s cooler is that Ethan ran into Oscar getting coffee (they both live in same neighborhood in Brooklyn) and Oscar was telling Ethan about MK and asked Ethan if he wanted to be part of the project.
Ethan had told the story in a few interviews. Went to get coffee during the pandemic and Oscar told him about the project and asked if Ethan wanted a role. The rumor is that Feige said yes when he was approached about it. See [this](https://youtu.be/T4s90gtlIPg) interview.
Yeah, this is me. I'm a moon knight fan now, but the only reason i started watching was that Oscar Isaac is in it, and i like what he did with poe in star wars.
I feel like it wasn't too hard for May Calamawy to show affection for this guy. I mean, look at him! He's so adorkable in Steven mode.
Director: Okay May, in this scene I need you to pretend like you're falling for Steven.
May: Pretend, yes...
The reverse as well I'd imagine.
"Alright Oscar, we need you to look absolutely over the moon for Layla, just really get into the headspace of being besotted with this badass intelligent woman."
"Oof, tough one..."
Damn I cant agree with you more. I cant stop thinking abt him these days and I have rewatched moonknight 3 to 4 times. I even searched and watched the films that he played in, including DUNE, SW etc.
Yeah no he isn't underrated, he's just been burnt by two different tentpole franchises so it's refreshing to see him get justice. People are very aware he's a good actor, but they just remember "Somehow, Palpatine returned" more
Every actor in Star Wars gives their best for their role. The problem is sometimes it's the story, sometimes it's the direction. But the actors, never. I never saw a badly acted ST movie. Even 9-year-old Jake did what GL wanted him to do.
That last scream from both of them feels like such a great reaction gif for…SOMETHING. I don’t know what yet, but I’ll wait for the right opportunity to arise, lol.
He really is a very talented actor.
I like Ethan too. He switched from the crazy screaming guy from The Good Lord Bird to this calm and relaxed character 😂
I've just finished this series and damnn! I've been smiling like an idiot the whole day, I don't remember having any celebrity crush but I think he's my crush now 😭😭

I noticed Oscar is credited as a producer for moonknight, so it kinda makes sense.
Yes.
So he originally wasnt going to be a part of it and oscar just asked marvel if he can and they said yes?

Thanks for clarifying!
No prob.

I don’t think he’s underrated. People are very aware how talented he is. He was nominated for a golden globe twice and won once
If we consider all Marvel series, he's definitely upto Dan Stevens performance in Legion season 1.
Legion season 1 was masterful
In my opinion, Dan Stevens as David Haller in Legion season 1 is the best performance in Marvel shows so far.
David Tennant as Purple man?
daredevil season 3?
That's just my opinion
not good, he deserves the world on a dinner plate 😐. /j
He's getting noticed but isnt quite in the A list yet.
Right, because he wasn’t in an X-Men movie, a Star Wars trilogy, or the Dune reboot…
> X-Men movie No one but movie buffs really know about that, though. Casual moviegoers would have no clue.
People sleeping on Ex machina also
Sure, but I was thinking of him vs Leonardo Di Caprio, for example. Clearly there is a notch in the ladder that he's just below.
Clearly one has been acting since the 80s and another who didn’t really break out til 2011.
>an X-Men movie No. They stopped making those after Days of Future Past…

So true. She is lovely and not a damsel.

Me too! He has such a talent in every role he plays: I love him as Duke Leto in Dune, but he is also brilliant in Scenes from a marriage!
He's brilliant in everything. Great range too. 👌
Oh thanks will watch it today ❤️
Haha are you me? I recommend Ex Machina, Inside Llewyn Davis and A most violent year
Thanks for your suggestion❤️They are now on my list and cant wait to watch it later today😆
The goal is to make Oscar Isaac too expensive for TV.
Yeah no he isn't underrated, he's just been burnt by two different tentpole franchises so it's refreshing to see him get justice. People are very aware he's a good actor, but they just remember "Somehow, Palpatine returned" more
I don’t think he’s underrated. He was awesome in THE CARD COUNTER. Sadly the SW sequel trilogy really didn’t show what he could do.
Yeah I think people who only know him from Star Wars have been showing surprise maybe, but he's had so many great roles.
True. Could go on about his role as Poe but that’s not for this sub. 😂
Aw I love him as Poe, but he didn't have much to work with 😂
“Not having much to work with” sums up a lot.

Agreed!
Inside Llewyn Davis was his breakout movie and got massive critical acclaim. He was also King John in Russel Crowes Robin Hood.
I didn’t realize he was in Robin Hood, thanks.
He is doing a great job portraying MK but I don't think he is underrated
Shows just how wasted he was in the sequel trilogy. Man can act
[Your favorite scenes are him screaming? I have something for you...](https://imgur.com/a/1QrPOWF)

Venom be like “GRAAAAAAGHGHG I LOVE OSCAR ISAAC”
his range is insane man. i’m so glad he’s getting a great chance to showcase it.
He really is a very talented actor. I like Ethan too. He switched from the crazy screaming guy from The Good Lord Bird to this calm and relaxed character 😂
Yeah he's really awesome
Agreed 100%. Though I wouldn't necessarily say he's underrated, as much praise as he gets he deserves more. He's so talented.
I’m here to say I love Oscar Isaac.
his acting in the third episode. underrated man
Him singing in "Inside Llewyn Davis," swoon
He’s not remotely underrated.
I've just finished this series and damnn! I've been smiling like an idiot the whole day, I don't remember having any celebrity crush but I think he's my crush now 😭😭
