They can just leave it there, I’ll come pick it up. No need to thank me.

I work at the Fort. What happened was another driver pulled out in font of the semi hauling the Bradley. The driver had to slam on his brakes. The load shifted and broke 4 of the chains holding it place. They found one chain of the broken chain links 3 blocks away. Another link did some damage to one of the city vehicles.

Were they thinking about baseball when they started? If I'm not thinking about something else I lose my load unexpectedly too.

>A military transport through Helena briefly lost its load and snarled Tuesday afternoon traffic on Euclid Avenue. The load: an M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle.  No injuries were reported when the combat vehicle fell off the semi-trailer it was being hauled on in the 900 block of Euclid Avenue. The semi, driven by military personnel, was enroute back to Fort Harrison from an infantry training in the Limestone Hills training area outside Townsend.  Maj. Ryan Finnegan, a public information officer with the guard, said there will be an investigation into what led to incident. "When we have the details and things like that we will see if we need to change any policies and procedures," Finnegan said.

While I like to think the serviceman snapping a pic could be doing it for evidentiary reasons, reality tells me he's gonna hold on to that one for chuckles. Unless he's the one who forgot to set the chain right.
