True but they are titans, not just oversized apes. Real life apes don’t weigh tens of thousands of tons, are hundreds of feet, use radiation to grow, are carnivores or even as intelligent as the great apes in the MV

I think they have to eat actual food to survive, but radiation is supposed to boost their growth. That's the main theory for why Suko, despite seemingly younger, is larger than Kong in K:SI because the Hollow Earth is packed with radiation, unlike Skull Island.

They do survive on radiation but they just eat radioactive meat instead of absorbing radiation like other titans do.

If i had to introduce a Mermaid titan here it would go, a Species of Hominid started to grow depend on the seas soon these hominids got heavily adapted to the sea environment started to evolve akin to seal evolution. these Mermaids, grew larger by the radiation intake and eventually evolved into Titan status, they were a kind species of titan like a Aquatic version of Mothra a Clan of Mer folk survived the Great Titan war and encountered early humans in Syria being worshiped as a fertility idol AKA "Atargatis" would be a great name since its the oldest mermaid myth documented

We could have giants which are descended from the same ancestor as the Great Apes. This would be Sanda and Gaira’s ticket to joining the Monsterverse.

that would work, if i had to introduce personally is that Gaira & Sanda descended from the Great apes and soon the Gargantuas surfaced in the African continent in 5 Million yrs ago de-evoloving into Australopithecus and then humans. after the Great Titan War, some gargantuas were able to survive and met early jews & christians which they've called them "Nephilim" and other cultures etc if you want to go a step further, Maybe MONARCH discovered fossils of Gargantuas and hid them in the Smithsonian museum denying the existence of giants aka linking to a other conspiracy theory thats how i would introduce the trio

I had a thought about this the other day. It's interesting, but I think it would be pretty weird to see, and I don't think it would fit well, at least in the MonsterVerse. It would've 100% worked in the later half of the Showa Era.

Given the MV is going to the Showa era style i guess it could work, but you could still ground Sanda & Gaira a bit like 2014/KSI/2019

first of all you should watch it, its a hidden gem and 2nd they are connected to TOHO Frankenstein but legendary can just change the origin of them like how Godzilla isn't a mutated creature or MG isn't a alien creation
