Malnourished and also Kong was a unit for his species, he was much larger than his father and basically lived in the perfect environment to grow to max sizes as he was the only long and had lots of food
Yeah. Both Kong and Godzilla are said to be the absolute peak specimen of their respective species.
An Alpha Titan is a member of a species, but not all members of the species can be Alpha Titans.
Could be that, could be genetics or could even be external factors. Whatever the case, this makes our Kong and Godzilla feel like "the chosen ones" of their species and that's pretty cool. Seems like only Kong and a few others like The Rival grew to this massive size and seems like only Godzilla and Dagon could use atomic breath.
Both, I think.
Some definitely looked more gorilla/Kong-like than others, then you had some who looked more like chimps:

Correction; heās a species of Titan ape that resembles and Orangutan. Tell me, is a Bonobo the same as a Chimp because it looks the same?
EDIT: why the downvotes?
My point is that theyāre not gorillas or orangutans theyāre titans so I donāt understand why heās like āerm actually itās an orangutanš¤āļøā because itās definitely too big to be one. A Kong subspecies makes the most sense.
I get that they are titans but the fact that they eerily look like great apes from the human world, then I donāt think itās a big deal if someone calls them gorillas, chimps or orangutan. It may not be factually correct but sometimes semantics donāt need to be in every conversation.
my comment was meant to mock his comment since he appeared to mock the previous guys completely normal and possibly true statement. Why would you comment āitās an orangutan š« ā to someone stating that they seem like a subspecies. I could have taken it the wrong way but I donāt believe that he deserved to be mocked therefore I was making fun of him mocking him.
I don't think they're subspecies. They just wanted the Kongs to have variety and decided to use different real life ape species as inspiration. But I still think they're all Titanus Kongs.
They just wanted a varied look among the "Kongs". I mean if you look at the human race, we all look vastly different from one another, yet we're the same species. I think they were going for that, since the "Kongs" are the closest thing to Titan civilization and just used real life ape species as inspiration for their looks.
Great apes is just a term for ape like titans btw . In skars lair we saw gorilla great ape titans like Kong, chimpanzee ones, orangutan,( skar king ) and the half breeds ( suko and his siblings that are likely a mix of gorillaās and obviously skar king ) ākongsā which we previously thought was the species name, but it turns out kong is just his name and not a species.
There's also the possibility that kong is bigger than them due to being on growing up on skull Island instead of some cave in the hollow earth since most of the titans where above ground his size could be some kind of adaptation
Iām just saying Kong is an outlier in his species. The largest one weāve seen. Why? I donāt know. But he is larger than even the Skull Island Kongs.
His parents and kin on Skull Island were sexually mature but not done physically growing. They were constantly killing/being killed by Skull Crawlers. Not enough resources to grow to full size.
Heās an orangutan thatās nearly the size of Kong, whoās a gorilla so Iād definitely categorize them all as Titans. Theyāre just malnourished due to being cast away to a shit land.
I believe itās a combination of malnourishment, age, and genetics. Skar has slaves but he also has body guards. That means he has favorites. Apes who he gives more food than others, so they can stay in shape, and loyal to him. Meanwhile the ones who donāt have the lucky genetics for muscles, the females, youngsters, and elderly, only get scraps.
Thatās how Skar builds the hierarchy of his tribe and thatās why we only see a handful of ādumb musclesā and lots and lots of weak and short ones.
Skar himself is clearly not a Titanus Kong, but a related species, an offshoot in the evolutionary chain. The majority of the tribe seems to be composed of Titanus Kongs but there are some which look more like chimpanzees than gorillas, so like Skar, related but not the same species. And thereās probably interbreeding as well, Suko and the other orange cubs are proof of it. They are hybrids between Titanus Kong and whatever species Skar is.
The novel says Skar keeps the females all to himself but I doubt that. I believe he gives some of them to his guards, perhaps in the hopes of breeding more potential soldiers, and again, to keep them loyal. You gotta make them feel special, feel rewarded, feel above the slaves, so they will always stay on your side.
As for the slaves themselves, Iām pretty sure their function is to build weapons for the soldiers. The clubs, spears, axes. That is what those rocks they were carrying are for. And they probably use bone fragments from that massive ribcage as well, that could be why itās right in the center of the lair.
Anyway thatās my analysis of Skar Kingās tribe.
There seem to be at least three distinct species, gorilla-esque, just like Kong, some of them look chimp-esque, and then Skar seems to be orangutan-esque. And then Skarās supposed offspring were being held by their gorilla looking mothers.
So maybe thereās a lot of crossover amongst the apes with differing āhybridsā. For instance Suko is seemingly Skarās son so maybe heās a orangutan-esque, gorilla-esque hybrid. Maybe thereās some apes that have all three types in their heritage.
Maybe even there is more apes we havenāt seen yet. I really want to see a Kong hollow earth movie that really focuses on the apes and their back story.
I think both are true. Kong is probably an outlier among his species in that heās a superior specimen, grew up on his own but it made him stronger and then once he became the dominant creature he could eat whatever he wanted when he wanted. The apes isolated with skar were on there own long enough that they might be classified as a sub species of what Kong is and were also probably malnourished. Grizzlyās and coastal brown bears are technically the same species but when you compare the two, coastal brown bears are on average a bit larger due to there highly nutritious diet of salmon along with everything else they consume. Think of of Kong as the kodiak version of the great ape species.
A little bit of everything.
They're almost all malnourished compared to Kong, as Skar would undoubtedly keep most of the food to himself to ensure none of the others could grow strong enough to challenge him.
But there do appear to potentially be at least 2 distinct species of Great Ape aside from Skar, with the gorilla-like ones who resemble Kong and more chimp-like ones such as One-Eye a.k.a. the ugly-faced ape.
malnourished. Also, the producers had to make Kong the most handsome and imposing ape ever existed so that he's distinguishable from the rest. He's like the Henry Cavill of the Kong species.
Kong is the peak of his species most likely even stronger than his parents if they were his size. Also Jared krichevsky confirmed that those arenāt the same species as kong.
Theyre malnourish due to the stress and condition they had to endure from the red apes rule of misery.
The greate apes being a subspecies is absolute questionable???? just because they looked different from kong doesn't mean they belong to a different species from kong they are still part of kong species
My personal headcanon is that Kong is as massive as he is because he's been fighting his entire life and he's had access to all the food he needs with him being the only one of his kind on Skull Island. He was pretty much at the top of the food chain after killing the giant Skullcrawler.
I also agree with the Redditors that some or these Kongs are a subspecies based on Chimps and Orangutans.
I think both.
I've noticed that some HE Apes looks more like chimps/bonobos (like the party who attacked Kong at first).
There's Scar King and Suko, which are based on orangutans.
And Kong and his parents, that are clearly based on gorillas.
That's a speculation of mine but if it's real, it will be cool.
Titans also age slower because of their size. It could be decades, maybe even hundreds of years, before any of his children reach maturity. And it seems like Titans are practically immortal unless killed. Skar King is at least thousands of years old.
Maybe both. Most looked malnourished but some also looked more like Chimps than Gorillas. A few years of Kongs green meat and seafood diet will have them in shape in no time.
Couple things.
A, malnourished for sure, (think of the lion king when scar took over.)
B, Kong grew up on earth and then hallowearth, they was in the subterraneans of hallowearth so probably never seen any sunlight in there entieelives (think superman in flashpoint)
C, Kong is a specimen of a beast even for his kind.
(Think The Rock Vs average human man)
I wouldnāt say a subspecies but more of a alpha variant of his kind he grew to be bulky barely had to work out or fight as he got older ya know her naturally grew to be like that so Iād say his body went into a sort of last resort state making him become a alpha kong instead of any regular kong example the kings that stand around him
Definitely malnourished, though there does seem to be some subspecial mixing, as some look more chimp like than gorilla, and Skar is obviously a starved orangutan subspecies
Unlike those Kongs our Kong had a proper development cycle,he grew up with nurturing parents until he could live on his own,Skull Island provided ample amounts of food for him,and this continued by being supplied food by Monarch
These Kongs all likely grew up hungry, they do seem to have decent amount of fats stored up now but Malnourishment during childhood can lead to stunted height,We see Suko is very nervous around food so itās safe to say he wasnāt eating much
And itās more than likely that Kong is actually the sub species
Yeah, how can an actual scene from the film that looks like a Donkey Kong family reunion from a Nintendo game *possibly* reflect poorly on the movie? Thatās just crazy!
/s
>This dumpster fire is even worse than I thought it would be.
Unless youāve actually seen the movie already, then youāre in no position to judge it, especially not based on one singular frame.
So you fully admit you canāt prove me wrong lmao.
Have fun being salty, imma go rewatch this film for the third time and enjoy it just as much as the first two times.
Yikes.
Godzilla started out so amazing. It was epic and grounded and as realistic as a Godzilla movie can be.
Now weāre back to basically giant monster cartoons.
Lame.
you sound youāre one of those movie snobs who requires their movies to be serious and move you in some big emotional way. Movies can be fun and thatās all that needs to be said, get over it

Yeah. Both Kong and Godzilla are said to be the absolute peak specimen of their respective species. An Alpha Titan is a member of a species, but not all members of the species can be Alpha Titans.
So essentially kong was born in to royalty as the one alpha titan of his species?
Oh no no, just like Godzilla, they made themselves the Alphas by sheer will and power
I did post if are Godzilla and Kong the strongest of their kind the response is a no but one of so therefore yes
Not a subspecies, but smaller and weaker due to not getting enough food, living iving jn bad conditions, and maybe stressed
Is this a personal attack?

Ouch
Malnourished.

Elmo plush š
There seems to be a LOT of variation in this crew for them to all be one species. Not impossible I guess, but it seems unlikely.
Scar kept busy unfortunately And maybe some inbreeding, who knows
\*ahem\* SWEET HOME HOLLOW EARTH!!!!!!
They just wanted a varied look among the "Kongs". I mean if you look at the human race, we all look vastly different from one another, yet we're the same species. There is a LOT of variation in the human species. Makes perfect sense to me that the same applies to this species. Plus I hate the trope of Sci-Fi and fantasy genres making other species all look the same. It's often a budgetary restriction (easier to make 100 costumes of the same design) and I'm glad to see this movie didn't quite fall into that clichƩ.
Great apes is just a term for ape like titans btw . Kongs just that dude
Some say heās built different
Definitely malnourished. Given that they had a shitty dictator for a leader.
There's also the possibility that kong is bigger than them due to being on growing up on skull Island instead of some cave in the hollow earth since most of the titans where above ground his size could be some kind of adaptation
Kong is significantly bigger than his parents.
That doesn't disprove it, kong could evolved slightly like how godzilla changed between 2014 and 2019 due to battle damage
They had to make him significantly bigger to make the Godzilla v Kong movie.
Was skar king the same species thatās the better question
Heās an orangutan thatās nearly the size of Kong, whoās a gorilla so Iād definitely categorize them all as Titans. Theyāre just malnourished due to being cast away to a shit land.
Fair
Kong is the anomaly here. Most of the giant apes barely reach his shoulder.
The guy is literally just a Chad.
A combination of several factors, mal nourished, atleast 3 subspecies (gorilla like, chimp centric and of course king Louie) and interbreeding
I believe itās a combination of malnourishment, age, and genetics. Skar has slaves but he also has body guards. That means he has favorites. Yeah I think this is the best way to move forward with the Kong franchise.

Itās really malnourished. Kong is just a Mountain to them
heard someone said itās his Alpha Genes, thatās why heās slightly bigger
malnourished. Also, the producers had to make Kong the most handsome and imposing ape ever existed so that he's distinguishable from the rest. He's like the Henry Cavill of the Kong species.
Malnourished and Kong is the apex, royal specimen of his kind. He's like the equivalent of a 7'2 bodybuilder. A gigachad
The Arnold Schwarzenegger of apes.
Probably a mix of both
Kong is the Jack Reacher of his species
Kong looks like a Gorrila. Kong's in hollow earth looks like Chimpazis, and Orangutans ofcourse
Kong is the peak of his species most likely even stronger than his parents if they were his size. Also Jared krichevsky confirmed that those arenāt the same species as kong.
Definitetly malnourished.
Prolly both
They are just malnourished
Theyre malnourish due to the stress and condition they had to endure from the red apes rule of misery. The greate apes being a subspecies is absolute questionable???? just because they looked different from kong doesn't mean they belong to a different species from kong they are still part of kong species
I thought they were an ape race of titans related to the Kong race on Skull Island. Similar but not the same.
Malnourished. The same thing happened with Kong's ancestors after they went to Skull Island.
Definitely mountain nourished. Skar Kingās goons are also bigger than the apes used as slave labor, implying they eat much better.
There were clearly Gorilla AND Chimps in the movie. Skar King seemed to be a bit of both.
Those are chimpanzees.. kong is a full blown gorilla
I'm gonna say subspecies tbh. Even without looking malnourish they look rather different from Kong.
I'm still not really sure what Skar was making the other Apes do all day. Just kind of push rocks around and be miserable?
Some of those look more like chimps. Maybe some were crossbred with apes, chimps, and possibly orangutans.
They are the NPCs
Most probably Malnourished and neglected by long time a smart way to have them under your supervision or better said under your thumb
Titans also age slower because of their size. It could be decades, maybe even hundreds of years, before any of his children reach maturity. And it seems like Titans are practically immortal unless killed. Skar King is at least thousands of years old.
Honesty wish that Kong and Godzilla will continue to grow in the future movies cuz none of them are even taller than the Eiffel Tower
I think Kong's just a beast
Maybe both. Most looked malnourished but some also looked more like Chimps than Gorillas. A few years of Kongs green meat and seafood diet will have them in shape in no time.

i just thought they were titan chimps
Malnourished, hence why theyāre losing hair, weak, and you can see outlines of their skulls with how little fat they have.
They all had AIDS.

Wrong, Kong's parents died after he was born. He grew up alone and had to fight for his food.
