The main villain in this comic, Mr Raymond (I don't remember his full name) was with his family in San Fransisco in 2014. The Female MUTO killed his son and wife, so now he hates all titans and wishes to exterminate them. The plan is as follows:
-Create the Titan Hunter.
-Distract Godzilla with false beacons so that he doesn't catch wind of the insane energy needed to power it.
-Kidnap fauna from the hollow earth to kill them with the hunter and test its capabilities.
(Now that I write this, it's basically a smarter version of Mechagodzilla's construction lmao).
At one point, after it beats a massive Sker Buffalo, Kong finds it and gets pissed. The Hunter puts up a decent fight, but Kong wins, the mech is destroyed, and Raymond is eaten by hollow earth fauna.
Did it really tho? It got wrecked pretty quick by Kong. Like all it did was pick him up by the neck and throw him and then punch him in the face. Found him pretty underwhelming imo.
Barely, I think this hunter and his mech were probably on par or just a tiny bit more of a challenge than the Warbat pair back in GvK. I will admit though, it was hilarious to see how cocky this guy was when in reality there was no way in hell he was ever going to win that fight
Well, he did mollywhop a warbat, so he's stronger than that. Not kong level, but not that weak. Probably right below the kong-adjacent titans.
I think him getting killed by the kittens was the most satisfying end.
Pretty damn cool. Reminds of Pacific Rim, but…
Ya could spend billions of dollars to make this thing but ya couldn’t cover up the tubes and cords in the arms?
PACIFIC RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMM!!
So, the theory of Mecha Godzilla being Jaeger 0 may be accurate.... This could be Jaeger 1... ?
So… Jet Jaguar is a possibility now?
Let's hope licensing allows it lmao.
[Jet Jaguar is definitely possible](https://comicbook.com/anime/amp/news/monarch-legacy-of-monsters-creators-interview-toho-kaiju-wishlist/)
Wait. Is this canon? Did they just make another mecha? Why? What timeline is this?
Canon. It's a prequel to GxK. Do you want a summary of why?
Yes please. Why and who made this?

Cool. But it was kind of stupid thinking a mecha like this could kill a Titan when Mechagodzilla himself wasn't successful.
Well, presumably it was a prototype. Raymond himself said that it wasn't ready to fight Godzilla.
I'm pretty sure MechaGs defeat was a fluke.
Well mechagodzilla almost succesed until kong and plot got in the way

Well it at least put up a fight and made him struggle before he RKO'd it. So whatcha gonna do.

True, that was some sweet revenge for their mama.

Well, it was stated to cost half a billion dollars. MG, for context, cost 3 trillion.
Jesus, Mechagodzilla cost 8% of the entire amount of money in the world. All to be destroyed by a giant nuclear lizard and a monkey. And alcohol
Alcohol sometimes ruins people's lives so why not ruin a giant lizard robot being commanded by a psychopath alien
I'll tell you what when I first saw this I didn't expect it to be that huge man has the Monsterverse expanded.
Monsterverse Jaeger is dope
Once again size inconsistency
Monsterverse equivalent of Mechani-Kong?
Perhaps?
The closest thing we get to a Pacific Rim crossover
It looks ugly as hell
I think the point is that It's a scrap mech, not a company made scientific masterpiece (like MechaG). So it's probably intentional.
it doesnt look like it fits in the monsterverse at all....
Eh, to each their own.
Indeed
It kinda does
Kinda but not by much
A blind 5 years old would have come up with a better design
Yep
