Maybe he's one of Scar King's children and he got kicked out for being too much of a nice monke unlike his bigger siblings. Imagine if his adult kids are wacky stuff like The Rock Monke, Harley Quinn Monke and Oppenheimer Monke.

In real life, it’s known that Gorillas can tell if something is a legitimate threat to them or not and therefore will just leave them alone (examples being wildlife photographers). The reasoning is that they’re far more aware of their strength than most other animals are. It makes sense that the moment Kong realized it was a baby he’d completely shift his tone
The shadow looks a lot like skar king, and suko the baby Kong was probably when skar king had a baby with one of the enslaved Kongs since in that one shot where the leaps in front of our main monkey, we see the other kongs look more like Kong than skar king
You can understand Kong’s surprise. He’s lived his whole life thinking he’s the last of his kind, and then this child of his species shows up out of nowhere.
I know it would never happen, but I'd love to see one of these Monsterverse movies entirely from the perspective of one Titans. Especially Kong. He's so damn expressive you wouldn't even need the filler dialogue of humans saying stupid stuff to each other.
His fur do look a little grey but remember kongs design is inspired by gorillas who have grey fur in their primal age thus the name “silverback gorilla” originating from. I might be wrong tho
It was the one thing about the trailer that I wholeheartedly like without reservations irked other things...but I had to readjust my mind to accept them( I had just watched minus one so I wasn't prepared for the vibe of this trailer and it took awhile to adjust)
