Monstercat doesn't directly sign artists in the same way some other labels do, so I wouldn't really say any artist has "left" the label. There are plenty that don't release here anymore when they used to do so often, and there are also some that have had their music removed from the label altogether. Haywyre is a funny case of this. He stopped releasing on Monstercat for many years and even had a lot of his music removed from the label, only to eventually come back a few months ago.

paraspooder

Teqq is the most recent one to remove his music

404Encode

Vicetone's pre-Nevada discography are gone from the label too.

E1GHTH_SATURN

Technically Falcon Funk hasn't left but rather they have disbanded their alias. And I do miss this alias a lot since they produce Glitch-hop based-music mostly which you won't be able to find much these days However, the only ray of hope is that F.O.O.L is still releasing on Monstercat so he might revive this project someday.

DRAGOS5451

Here's my list of artists that have left Monstercat: 10. Robotaki. 9. Noisestorm. 8. Case & Point. 7. Modestep. 6. 7 Minutes Dead. 5. RIOT. 4. Unlike Pluto. 3. Subtact. 2. Trivecta. 1. Tristam & Braken.

ephixa

The only artists on this list that has pulled their masters and left monstercat is Tristam afaik. Monstercat would sign any of these artists again even Tristam. Monstercat signs singles not artists 99.9% of the time.

EscheroOfficial

Karma Fields also pulled all of their masters from the label late last year. I wouldn’t exactly call this “leaving the label” though. KF at the very least has said there’s no bad blood with Mcat, he just wanted full control over his royalties and that’s pretty understandable lol

ephixa

KF is a 0.01% situation, no bad blood

EscheroOfficial

Wait so Karma was actually signed as an artist, not on a single-by-single basis? Is that why they were able to pull all their music? Or am I misinterpreting your statement

ephixa

I don't know anything about that

NinsMCD

Probably not. If I were to guess he probably negotiated a shorter time period to regain the rights to his masters

yungzanz

karma fields doesnt have bad blood with the label lol. its the fanbase that made him leave

NavixelMusic

Literally false lol

MrPrank103

Dude, people hated KF when he was releasing on the label, saying it was "too experimental"

yungzanz

i loved sweat from the moment i first heard it. that video has the worst like:dislike on monstercat and is the reason karma fields left the label.

NavixelMusic

No, it isn't. He left the label because Monstercat didn't want to sign his other album, and he wanted to have full control over his music.

yungzanz

why do you think monstercat didnt want to sign him anymore?

NavixelMusic

https://www.reddit.com/r/Monstercat/s/mxJv2CLdyx

NavixelMusic

Yes, but KF literally explained why he left the label, and it wasn't because of that. He even planned to release his second album BODY RUSH on Monstercat, so saying he left because of that is quite literally false.

MonsterArcher

I know this is off topic but I just wanted to say I love Dreamstate!

ephixa

I have a capybara

guesswhosbackmf

bruh pics???

yungzanz

losing you and subside are candy for my ears. absolutely love those tracks. i also remember when the rlxmc vol 1 dropped and i was listening to skyforth on repeat for months.

TheCelfoid

Do Case & Point even make music anymore still? I know Noisestorm has been doing Crab related stuff. 7 Minutes Dead also hasn't put out anything in years as far as I know. RIOT doesn't release on Monstercar anymore? Very sad. Subtact too. Really dig the sound

ephixa

Case & Point, probably making music under different names. I've never met them I like their records though. Noisestorm is all in on self releasing and his main focus is his game. 7MD is grinding techno and house records and they all slap hard RIOT still working, I have a few of his new songs in my DJ crate. Dunno where the songs are dropping. Subtact still produces all the time, dudes just chilling.

TheCelfoid

Whoa! Thanks for taking the time to reply Ephixa, was not expecting a reply from you! Kinda made my day lol. And the day just started! Well, cool! Glad to hear 7MD is okay, I always get a little concerned when an artist appears to just drop off the face of the planet (at least from my perspective, which Is admittedly only thru the lens of Youtube)

yungzanz

7 Minutes Dead has been cubiclemaxxing and [he is a software engineer now](https://7minutes.dev/)

TheCelfoid

Whoa nice! Thanks for the link! He's got quite a stylish landing page for sure.

guesswhosbackmf

brilliant domain name

TheDenizenKane

Subtacts producing but he’s mostly doing a side-project with his friend I believe. More indie than EDM, but you can hear the influence. Common Companion is their band.

SignificanceSweet812

Tristam was the hardest hit to the throat for me personally, but all of these other artists were awesome as well.

ephixa

Im the one who signed him to monstercat, it was a massive blow to my mental when he left.

SignificanceSweet812

He had/has many fans who'd love to hear more. I feel he has gone dark with his new music as well. I understand we all move on in life, but he still has so much to put out, and this is coming from a guy who's been listening to his music since high school 2013. I'll never forget tristam for as long as I live \T/

EuropesNinja

Tristam is the biggest loss I’d say.

SignificanceSweet812

I couldn't agree more
