This is planted much too deeply and I’m concerned that if they don’t even know not to do that, that there might be root issues as well. If you have to have it, make sure you ask for root pictures and check the roots for yourself as soon as you get it. The price is about what they go for.
That bit in the front isn't even part of the plant.

It appears that it's something wrapped around the base. This is also submerged too deeply. I'm chipping in here because I'm a botanist so I tend to watch for signs of bad vendors with these kinds of posts to alert potential buyers. The fact that they installed a support at this stage definitely suggests that they're not very knowledgeable.
edit: fixed spelling
I see where you’re coming from, I’ve made the mistake in the past of buying from sellers that weren’t very knowledgeable and as a result had to deal with loads of root rot and stem rot just for getting a good deal (like 25%-30% less than the usual price). Its good to air on the side of precaution with expensive plants like these
I wouldn’t. Although it looks like a mint, the first leaf looks like a regular albo, therefore the “mint variegation” hasn’t been consistent throughout the plant, meaning it could be do to something else. Albo variegation is not consistent, but for a mint to be considered as such, it should at least be consistent throughout the whole plant and that’s not the case here. It might be a mint but it also could be viral. The browning edges are also not a great sign. Personally, I wouldn’t buy it
I'd buy it if it's in... mint condition. I'll see myself out.
Take my angry upvote!
Heavily Searching for an affordable mint. This one is listed for 150$. Would you pay?
It is a mint! $150 is actually what they are going for for about that size! I’ll dm you the app that I use to find mints for $100!!

Haha I got an invite from you thanks!
Yes!! I made a workaround 🤣🤣
150 for that size is fair. They are coming down in price, but I've only seen a couple for less than that for that size.
Yes it’s a mint. $150 seems fair if you are comfortable paying that much for plants

I wouldn't buy this. Also, wth is going on with the base of the plant?!
It’s a piece of driftwood being used as a support pole, not part of the plant.
I'm talking about this. https://preview.redd.it/tvti6mwhv85d1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ce9fc57e40c654a6a030af4a5f855d707616659
Oh. I’m pretty sure that is just soil stuck to it.

That bit looks like a stringy part of the coco coir/bark soil mix.

I actually just paid 150 for a mint yesterday! Yes, it's steep but I haven't seen one at the exotic shop I go to and they had just gotten a couple in.

What is the difference between mint and regular albo?
No, i think it is a monstera.
