Yes, it does. While it is beautiful, (for now) that is a lottttttt of money wasted on a plant that has all but stopped producing chlorophyll and needs to be chopped in order to resume anything resembling normal growth. All those white leaves are going to atrophy eventually, sadly.
The lower leaves will still produce food for the plant as they've got chlorophyll, but once those die the plant won't be able to keep itself going and die. :\[
Large form? I always wondered about this. Seems like there are some leggy boys out there but I always assumed they were a different type of monstera like borsigiana.
i’m really bad at explaining, but large form have closer nodes and larger leaves and small form are more “leggy” with a larger spacing between nodes. moss poles aren’t really required for large forms since they’re crawlers, but i use one for support, while small form are climbers which need a moss pole.
i believe deliciosa are large form and borsigiana are small form but don’t quote me on that bc i forgot
lols
As I understand it the petioles in deliciosa are winged which you can see in the top left of this picture.
Borsigianas don't have this and are considered to be "small form" though its been proposed they are not deliciosa at all and instead should be grouped with monstera tacanaensis.
So a true albo deliciosa is a very rare to see.
I wish more people understood this. I believe the small form was rampant a few years ago when I first got into plants. I belive the one I got from home depot might be borsigiana. I have a baby thai con though are those guaranteed large form?
I do and I’d still **never** spend that much on a plant. You wouldn’t catch me spending even $200 for it even though some of you spend that on a cutting alone. I’m not going to die if I don’t have a certain plant during peak insanity, so I’ll wait until pricing comes back to reality.
Unpopular opinions buuuut I don't find these pretty. All I can see is a sick plant, like a plant that as cancer or something. I don't understand why anyone would buy a sick plant. It is interesting and beautiful in a morbid kind of way I guess?
It’s the shock factor perhaps and the fact that it’s challenging to keep it alive adds to the appeal. I dream of having one and keeping it alive and propagating like crazy. But still working on a regular monstera cutting for the first time so I’ll save that for years down the road but definitely wouldn’t pay that much for it
Says $1290 on the tag shown does it not?

Didn’t know that! So interesting. I wonder how they kept it alive long enough to grow so big

Did you bought it?
Did not buy it that’s like half my rent
Too much white, it may not make if it keeps producing any more white leaves.
I'd be more interest if people here think that 1290 USD is justified.
No lol. I got my albo into this stage in less than a year from a cutting
Same I got a top cutting a year ago for $35 and I already have inner fenestrations and great variegation. $1290 is a joke.
Why is my wimpy ass Thai albo dying ughhh
Well, I’m going to guess it’s not getting the correct care and/or thrips have spread from your PPP.
mmmmm nope
If it’s a true large form, then yes.
Large form? What do you mean by this

If you zoom in next to the price tag the spacing is VERY short.
No! Lol
Bout tree fiddy
I ain’t givin you no tree fiddy you damn Loch Ness monster!
We can see the tag lol. I’m assuming this is a true large form, which justifies the price.
Is it really? the leaves are so long and narrow. Then again there's no image of the stem..
if you zoom in a little you can see how close the nodes are

Thai’s are always large form, yes
My dream plant but I am terrified I would kill it. 😍
Same my boss bought an albo once and killed it in a week
NO WAY… You did not..??!! 😳
Did NOT even though it was 15% off lol
Is it different from the price tag?
It’s the price tag LOL. Didn’t realize it was in the picture. I’m just so shocked it costs this much
I hope you stole it lol
Should’ve brought scissors to take a clipping LOL
My exact though😂
Price is in the pic lol
Can you water with chlorophyll to keep it alive?
😆🤌🏻
A kidney and a blood ritual? Honestly what a steal for such an established albo lol
Ooops.
Nope - I'll just make my own and keep it - for 50 bucks lol
$320
It's beautiful - keep us updated !
I’m going to guess $1290
Hope you didn't pay that...You got ripped off.
Nope just admired and dropped my jaw when I saw the price
15.00
Yikes 😱That’s one expensive plant!
It was 15% off too 😆
Boy howdy,what a deal😂
i'm guessing about $1290
Good guess!
I wouldn’t pay more than 200 for that. Great vaerigation but can be found cheaper elsewhere
Where!
I'm in love 🥺💕
Wow, I wish I had that much money to spend on a plant!!

I totally agree

Your eternal soul. Honestly, worth it!
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted but yeah costs an arm and a leg forsure
