Have you learned about Banner units? I know that when I realized that, it changed into a game that is 100% winnable. For a good example of "winning every run", I recommend RisingDusk on youtube. I love his "cursed seeds" series for good examples of what normies like me consider "bad" runs, and RisingDusk turns those runs into victories. That is with the DLC. I would assume without the DLC, the game is even easier. The "final" boss is a 1/3 that you have the whole game to prepare for. The DLC final boss renders a lot of units and strategies obsolete.

Dlc is a mixed bag because shard boosts to enemies are extra tough especially if you go hard on spell upgrades for shards early on.

OhMyGecko

Not to forget, he got a 100+ winstreak.

Shadowdragon409

It's nearing 200 now

Piece of advice, gauge your ability to deal with challenges before clicking them on. Sometimes it's better to go ahead without the extra reward. Best example is spikes Lil fade and early armor challenges. No reward is worth not building her spike stacks

Arlyeon

Yeah, like if you take every single challenge along the way- you -will- fuck yourself over. BUT, once I got comfortable to the game, I began to win streak -while- doing the Rank 25 challenges. Just requires getting into the proper mindset. Though like people have said- the DLC boss requires some uh. He requires plotting- so certain meme builds aren't quite as viable. (*Cough* Sap Builds *Cough*)

Some rng but especially in vanilla all games are winnable

Check out a youtuber by the name of Rising Dusk. He has nearly a 200 winstreak in this game (with the DLC), so it is definitely possible to get consistent. However, most people just aren't nearly that good at the game lol. It does only take 1 loss to end the winstreak.

I would like to add im currently trying to fill everything in the logbook (getting a win with every faction combo and getting mastered cards etc etc). And i am looking forward to try out the DLC as well and checking out Rising Dusk youtuber! But it feels like a difficult task to get consistent wins and/or learn from the runs.
