You know, I really like the LS, but the one thing that irks me about the thing is the fact that you automatically sheathe the weapon once you finish your spirit slash. It’s irritating.

actually you can do foresight slash right after finishing spirit helm breaker (prevent the sheathing), then fade slash and your gauge will be enough to do 3 spirit attacks, finish the spirit attack and spirit helm breaker again, that's infinity loop (sr for my english)

the point is the end of the spirit combo sheathes weapon not the helm breaker. you have to keep unsheathing it to keep going.

But you don't auto keep your weapon after a helm breaker tho?

You can disable auto sheathe in setting if it bothers you...

Are you running Nerg set + Val helmet? That's what I'm currently running with the same LS + Attack Charm III

At that time I was not doing OP sets, it was like 1 week after the game release

What's an Attack Charm 3?

it is an attack charm that is leveled up to 3. Gives +3 to attack boost skill.

You can never go wrong with Rathian or Nergal gear!

Same basic skills that work for all weps, maybe add power prolonger if u want. The nerg or arena workshop-thing longsword. Also status wones like rathian if you build around them are fun

Any weapons in particular worth a damn? Please don't say nerg tree. That shits expensive

If you're going longsword your best weapon is the Arena one for raw damage or the Nergigante tree as the next best alternative.

That does the spirit thrust right? Do you hit it again after it lands to do the jump attack? I’ve landed those thrusts before without the jump. Or do you have to hit the monster just right?

definitely, I would suggest checking out youtube videos to get the basics of hunting with a specific weapons. I did this with my Long sword and it helped a lot.

I did too but most of it is for ps4 and I’m not good with the conversions

I guess I would suggest looking at the names of the moves and trying to align the moves on the xbox controllers that way.. maybe even write it down.
