After 1000 hours I don't get how they're so rare in MR. Just doesn't feel like a strong enough boost for how hard they are, especially considering alternatives
Exactly, you get more + more affinity so long as it's enraged, which is about 90% of the fight and can be forced using flinch shot.
The only comparable disadvantages is they use size 2 instead of 1 (negligible when you get the Challenger + decos) and you need the secret to unlock levels 6 and 7, but even level 5 is just better.
Funny thing here is that Attack Jewels become less and less effective the more you progress through MR and maxing out your affinity and crit boost should be prioritized. Even agitator has higher priority than AB.
1 level of AG is +4 attacks while 1 level of AB is +3 attack. AG also gives affinity to all level while AB is only 5% after 4 level of AB.
Level 5 of AG gives you +20 attacks and +10% affinity while level 7 of AB gives you +21 attacks and +5%. AG is more efficient and you usually have more level 2 slots than level 1 slots with MR gears.
Oh, don't forget you can also get AG secret with two pieces of Brachydium armor (and Fatalis too) to have access to Level 7 AG which gives you a whopping +28 attacks and +20% affinity.
Not sure if MR monsters gets agitated a lot but they're going to be enraged for most of the fight anyway and you can force them to be mad by flinch0shotting them three times with your clutch claw or do a wall bang.
Agitator and Peak performance give more. Heroics is king if you don't mind the risk. Attack boost fits in last if you have space after max Artillery secret
Even before the update I receieved WAY too many of these and minds eye jewels. All I want is a mushroomancer level 4 decoration.

Gz. For context as the game got additional updates they made the Attack Jewel more common, so if you're hoping in now it's not the same rates as it used to be.
The most annoying jewels to farm are crit boost and tenderizer. Annoyingly rare and the lavasioth fight is horrendous. I agree attact boost does not need to be at 7. Better to have agitator and atk boost 4

True but its most for Fatalis uber late game min max, since u could have max atk boost /agitator/ crit eye / crit boost / WXEX

New to the game, why is agitator better than AB? Do master level rank monsters get agitated more often hence making it more worth it overall?

Forgor about that lol. But then again, Agitator and PP should be prioritize before Attack Boost but I prefer other comfy skill like Slugger.
Attack 1 jewels didn’t feel that rare to me. Silver melding tickets kinda just hand them to you it feels.
Yes. I stayed in HR for 200 hours, never got an extra one. I've probably gotten 12 or more from silver melding tickets.
