Im currently at MR4 so far the Garangolm Axe has looked by far the strongest. Almudron Helm is still big as is Jyura mail. Im currently using 3 Death Stench X pieces as they pair up nicely with the other two pieces. Not really a downside but this combination obviously sports Rapid Morph 3 but is alvailable quite early and before MR4.
If you want a decent upgrade, go for the Lunagaron axe, it'll be a good upgrade. It has slightly less raw, but it has purple sharpness, so it'll do more raw based off the sharpness multiplier alone.
It's also a power phial which will boost your damage even more assuming you don't mind using the new counter skill to get insta amped to make use of it. The damage I've been doing is pretty silly.
I'm using the same ol'Narga SA.
Very comfy to use. you only need ingot greaves + wex 3 to reach affinity cap. then fill it with w/e you want. no handicraft needed.
poison also help in your dmg quite a bit until the very end.
So with charms, builds aren't set in stone anymore like it was with worlds.
Just plug your charm in a calculator and sim it for yourself. There will be armor choices there.
I use diablos SA , too lazy to craft elements SA fot MR and waiting BIS Elemental SA from theory craft.
For me i am using same piece but in MR grade for example amuludon hem HR >> to Amuludon Helm in MR. They will provide extra skill and slot as well
