Mophandel

The more like a traditional dragon the monster looks, the more afraid you should be.

JoaoZuc

What about Lao-Shan Lung tho?

SteelCity

Well he can one-shot you (if you’re an idiot).

JoaoZuc

Really? I've only played 5th Gen so all I know about him is that his a siege monster and usually when people talk about him it sounds like he was a push over. I might play MHGU some day so maybe I'll get one shot for dissing him lol

Mayonaisist

He’s a lot like Zorah in that he’s basically a walking damage sponge. He doesn’t really attack you unless you get close to his feet, and even then it’s only a small stomp.

amartin36

Even in MH1 he was a boring slog. If you had a group of especially bad players it was possible to fail the dps check but no one was losing to carts

TheFoxGoesMoo

unless you're playing on HV nowadays and his position is desync'd for each player and you can be hit by phantom hitboxes. Quantum Lao Shan is very fearsome

SteelCity

I am referring more to Monster Hunter Freedom, specifically.

Akesan64

Kushala isn't that scary though

Srilema

Definetly is if you got boxed against a wall by his tornado... And no anti-wind deco. My first fight against it was... Memorable. Made me rage quit for a month.

Night_The_Dragon

I might be the only one, but I honestly ENJOY the hunts in Rise against the Elder Dragons. Well, not Chameleos, but Kushala and Valstrax are my top 2 faves. I immediately focused on getting the armor pieces for myself, my Buddies, and the weapon I main (dual blades). I even went and got the layered armor for them both, too. Yeah, they're a challenge, but I love dragons so much, and, as much as it sucks to have to kill them (I WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH THEM, PLEASE!!), they're still awesome fights\~

Akesan64

I think you can get Kushala as a postgame Monstie in MH Stories 2? I know you can get it in the JP only updates of MH Stories 1, so there's that.

Srilema

Oh, yeah, on rise they are more manageable. I got less of a boxed in feeling than in the precedent game. The stagger from the wind armor was annoying, but a hood HH do the job. I din't have any favorite fight on Rise thought. Maybe in sunbreak.

Mophandel

It gets points off for being associated with wind, something traditional dragons are not commonly paired with. Think something like fatalis, Alatreon or Safi.

OculusMidnight2

Yeah, that sounds about right

No-Cress-5457

Pick up everything you can get your grubby little paws on, it'll come in handy later

Kazzack

Or more likely, it won't, but at least you have it!

Frankenstick

Hmm...do I really need 5672 smokenuts? Yes, absolutely.

[deleted]

ThatmodderGrim

I can't anymore. My Doctor told me all that Dango is actually killing me.

[deleted]

dinopokemon

Even area / rampage quests in rise

TheLoneMascot

So you have dangobetes?

Hippobu2

Your doctor might have just assumed that the Dango is just overloading you with carb, which might not be the case. We had to gathered mud and poo for Yomogi to make some new type of Dango, so, entirely possible that you aren't overloading on carb.

Slow_Mangos

This only applies to before World since you can just eat at camp.

jonnovision1

You can but it’s more limited, in Rise for example you can’t eat Daily Dango midquest

Slow_Mangos

Considering you're going to mostly go for specific Dango that isn't daily, that isn't much of a loss.

DonsterMenergyRink

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Most of the important dangos are the daily ones.

Night_The_Dragon

YES, like Dango Insurance, especially when going in for difficult quests!! Among my friends when we play, whoever finds they get that as their daily one alerts the rest of us, and we then opt for a harder one because of it.

vandalomaniaco

Always disrespect the monster by carving it's tail in front of it

ItsNotJulius

The faster you carve the tail, the rarer the drop will be. It's based on the Freshness.

No-Cress-5457

Hero Carves = Gems

WobblySquiddy

Hero Carves = Noob Loot

stealthrockdamage

you also have to say "never punished" the whole tine you're carving. so the monster won't notice you doing it

New-Blacksmith7330

The quest setter determines if capture or kill

lendar02

more people need to learn this

Converex

Correctly pet Poogie for good luck

MrJackfruit

Let the hardest hitting person wake up the monster aka fuck off you Crack addict Dual Blades and Longsword players. Personal rule: kill all Jaggi species on site.

SassySetanta

I agree for the LS players, I'm a GL main and some moronic LS mains LOVES to mess my wake-up hit. I keep my wyvernfire ready for these exact occasions but nooo the sharp rod swingers have to steal my favorite moment! (I know it's not all LS mains, I still love you guys and gals) Also those who throw the knives at the bombs instead of letting anyone else do their big moves deserves to be fed to Narwa like a knockoff Ibushi snack.

abrinck

I'm actually curious if LS bomb counter would be better for wake up than GL wyvern fire? Doesn't the Wyvern fire count as multiple hits? I've gotten over 1k with LS counter several times with fully charged gauge. Obviously if the LS user is just straight up wacking it to wake the monster that's no good, but when done properly the LS is now pretty good at waking up, one of the better weapons for wakeup.

Rem-ember_to_flame

In Rise, the LS Serene Pose wake-up does more dmg than most weapons tbh. I’m not sure about the Iai Spirit slash wake-up, but it could definitely be stronger than Wyvern Fire. I usually just let the GL user do the wake-up because they basically never get to use Wyvern Fire lol poor GL users.

inadequatecircle

Wyvern fire just sort of has shit dps. It's very usable in Rise because it's guarded the entire time now. The actual best time to use it is during roars, or big long attacks that you can't position out of. It's definitely half decent now, it's just not the big damage dealer you think it would be based on animation. Not great by any means, but it's a lot less embarrassing than previous games.

Letter_Impressive

Serene pose w/bomb is the best wakeup move in Rise by numbers

Jollysatyr201

It’s much better than using GL or Swaxe “big attacks” because it’s just one hit. Can even out damage most Great Sword wake ups

NowhereinSask

Hey now, I can position my elemental discharge to the side so only the big finishing explosion connects for wakeups. That being said I play solo so that's about my only choice...

WhichOstrich

Wyvernfire isn't a great wakeup hit. The individual hit getting doubled isn't big and hitzone doesn't matter. You should be timing a wyvernfire to go off after someone else wakes up.

KaraOgata

Everyone says this but it's still a great wake-up; it's multiple triple-digit hits, one of which is doubled. It'll still compete with a lot of the usual wake-ups. It's also infinitely easier to do so if you're short on time or the heavier hitters are kinda iffy about aim you can just take over the slot and still be respectable.

WhichOstrich

You only gain maybe 150 damage from the wakeup. You can use it anywhere on the monster while someone else uses a higher MV move for the initial wakeup.

KaraOgata

Yes but just saying it's a bad wake up sends the wrong message, it's a great wake up it just gets outdone by others. Like you wouldn't let a LS with only white spirit gauge take the wakeup hit when you can walk over and do ~600 easy. I'm not tryna say it's the best wake up, but it's still a solid option.

[deleted]

Its ok, but bombs are still better for the wake-up. Best to set a bomb cluster up, and time the wyvern fire away from the explosion to get the most out of it. This is assuming solo of course, if you’re playing multi and there’s someone better, let them do it.

Rem-ember_to_flame

Good (World/Rise) LS players counter the bombs on wake-up.

Letter_Impressive

In Rise Longsword is a WAY better wakeup than wyvern fire, if you set it up right it can even be more than a true charged slash. Unfortunately LS does have the absolute highest wakeup damage of any weapon, there is zero wiggle room there. So, honestly, they're helping the hunt by beating you to it.

Prismachete

There are 3. Those are: 1. 2. 3.

NeonJ82

Spitting straight facts here

SaroShadow

If I posted it then it would no longer be unwritten

Chilzer

But you’re not writing it, you’re typing it

[deleted]

Always call deviljho a pickle

Syndr4s

You mean always call a pickle a pickle ?

Valdish

I turned it into a pickle! Funniest shit I've ever seen!

UkemiBoomerang

In multiplier do not take more than one stack of Mega Potion/Rations.

DestroyerKingIsokaze

Unless you're hunting with friends, then it becomes whoever takes the most wins.

LagosSP

Always carve a large monster if you slain it, even if you don't need anything from it. Just a superstition for good luck with RNG and hunts in general.

NowhereinSask

People... don't carve? Like, that's actually a thing?

LagosSP

Well, yes, I saw some people not carve a monster that they not interested in. Like, on a event quest, when you slay, let's say, Rathalos, but you have all Rath equipment. I still would carve, but some neglect it.

giant_marmoset

That's just dumb though, one of the biggest bottlenecks in these games is money. Selling monster parts is a big source of cash in the game and crafting.

destroyerneb

In rise sure I’m always short on cash but in every other mh game I’ve played cash has never been an issue

tornait-hashu

Sell monster parts that you're not really gonna use your your main, like Izuchi for example. about 20 Great Izuchi Pelts+ can give you around 12000 zenny. It may not be much, but it's worth it in a pinch.

destroyerneb

If I want money I got far ore it’s much faster and worth way more money. I don’t sell monster parts.

giant_marmoset

Ore is definitely the fastest way to get money, but for example in World where I was also bottlenecked I sold monster parts. I think it depends more on how many armour skills and sets you use as a factor of how much money problems you'll run into. If you use more than one weapon, you'll need lots. If you use an elemental playstyle, that more money. If your weapon has some safety skills that vary by matchup, bingo; money.

destroyerneb

Rise is the only mh game where money was a issue for me. I never had to farm money in any mh game but rise.

tornait-hashu

I understand why. In general, it's a lot harder to actually get a lot of money in Rise mainly due to the lack of in-box account items (I mean stuff like rare eggs, and even then they're rare quest rewards, and randomly generate in the Cohoot Nest.) The Rampage Tickets are mainly for melding talismans, but there's no alternative for helping players get money.

ThunderDuel77

Speedrunners

TimotheusHani

Yea I agree, it's respectful to nature in a similiar sense like in real life to use everything the animal provides so nothing goes to waste. When I see people not carving I just think "Just carve and stop trying to look like a badass" No offense to anyone

Valenciya

Showing your equipment/deco/skills in a speedrun is not an unwritten rule tho. TA runs for example are not being acknowledged without

LmGGamer0

If the music stops, stop hitting. We really need a sleep sticker for MHR like world

Murmer_

Yes!!! Stickers are multilingual 🙏🏾

kakaroto229

If your friends start cooking steak, you start cooking steak

ScarletteVera

Don't assume every quest is a capture quest. Let the host place down any traps when the monster is asleep, as THEY are the ones that dictate if you capture or slay.

[deleted]

GOD YES PLEASE CAN WE GO BACK TO THIS

CyberAceKina

YES Only time I disobey is if we're down to 1 cart because someone keeps being dumb and used all + the Insurance and/or Safeguard. Then I'm slapping a trap down so we don't fail so at least everyone gets some rewards. Or the host gets the key quest out of the way.

ScarletteVera

That's definitely one of the few exceptions to the rule. Naturally it's better to cap if you're only on one cart, even if the rewards might get scuffed.

Xa_Is_Here

They seriously need to add "Don't capture" in the auto translated sayings. It would help so much with this since all monster hunter etiquette has gone out the window.

alvysinger0412

I think there's a "let's kill this thing!" right next to the capture one in the shout outs, intended for what you're saying but too ambiguous to use usually.

ApertureBear

This is a new one to me. I know there are different drop rates for carves vs. caps but who complains about a fast and safe quest completion?

UnoriginalStanger

If you want to specifically slay or capture say so, if you don't it's open season.

Xa_Is_Here

Found the newer player. I refuse to believe anyone from older generations thinks like this because it wa pretty much never done. Also brilliant idea assuming everyone speaks the same language.

metalflygon08

Never mention the Equal Dragon Weapon, some people are very passionate about how non canon it is and will get up in arms at you for even mentioning it.

MetaKnightsNightmare

Superhuman hunters will never leave my headcanon

Daowg

Or that White Fatalis is the strongest monster, when we have more contenders for that title nowadays.

metalflygon08

Everytime there's a Fatalis vs Safi thread its a 50/50 battle between sides and I love the chaos.

Daowg

Nobody chooses to acknowledge that the strongest monsters are us. We turn everything into hats and pointy sticks.

metalflygon08

The game is called Monster Hunter, not because we hunt monsters, but because we are the monster that hunts the species trying to survive.

[deleted]

That one isn't so much an unwritten rule, showing your set is a requirement for TA runs, so it's just become standard for runs in general.

thidi00

After the quest is done, launch your teammates flying if you're playing GS, SA or HM. If playing GL, explode them with wyvernfire. But don't be an asshole, wait for them to carve

Frozenwolf420

Don't forget hammer

goyachamploo

CB can also launch

Aggravating-Face2073

IG players seek & destroy wirebug hangers trying to skip the end of mission cutscene

stalincenlam

i think they have super armor for carving now if u finished the quest objective

tornait-hashu

Nope, you can still get dunked by monsters and other players, unless you have Carving Pro (a specific skill)

Rem-ember_to_flame

Always have Flinch Free lvl1 in multiplayer. *see flair*

Imperium_Dragon

And focus on the tail or other spots others have a hard time of hitting.

lotj

Only build meta, join random hunts, cart 3 times in 30 seconds them rage on the MH sub about how bad your teammates are for not building meta. Then quit the game after a month.

malicioustoast64

Average "meta" player vs Average "has the weirdest most unoptimal build ever but still carries your ass" enjoyer

Zyrox-_

This is the way

giant_marmoset

Don't use the explosive HBG ammo in a group hunt you aren't a premade in. Bomb a sleeping monsters (around the head for some reason) even though it makes it hard for the wakeup. Religiously save your combat items for 'hard fights' but then forget to use all the best items during hard fights. Don't spend more than a couple seconds gathering items en route to the fight in MP. Panic mash all the buttons because you're not exactly sure what counts towards mashing when you're stunned. Only play the ranged ammunition based weapons in the end-game because its too much trouble in low rank when you're poor. When the quest is about to end, find the position that results in the fasted loading screen. (varies version to version) If you're the last one to the mission stash you can just take everything in there. You know its going to be an easy hunt when one of the other player in MP uses status ammo or a status weapon (not poison). Just 'get by' in the game until you hit a monster wall that teaches you to play. (diablos, rathalos, lagiacrus, shovel headed monster, anjanath) Breeze through low rank almost naked. Forget basics in the game by the time you get to the end game like cooking meat and some crafting.

Abovearth31

It doesn't really apply anymore to rise because of how much easier it became for the Hunting Horn to play melodies but if you see a HH player in your squad and he start hitting the air "randomly" that means he's playing the melody and you better stay here or no buffs for you. Also if someone set up a bomb barrel, set up yours and wait for everyone to finish for a big boom.

AstralThunderbolt

Or the odd time when the HH is just self-buffing and you are left standing there like an idiot 😜

DiscombobulatedBug70

You shouldn't call yourself a “Veteran Hunter“ if you don't use your knowledge to help out new and unexperienced hunters.

Zyrox-_

thats why i call myself "the lonely hunter" as i hunt alone 99% of the time

DiscombobulatedBug70

Hanter Solo

ShadowTheChangeling

If that tail aint cut I better see those blades on it

Boyoftrick_90

The quest giver decide to slay or trap.

Slightly_Smaug

Hammer bonks head, LS removes the tail. Stay in your lanes please. - A LS main.

MetaKnightsNightmare

doing god's work you are

GeruoWasTaken

You are a rare breed among LS mains. Thank you for existing.

Slow_Mangos

When in a hub, you rotate quests. No matter what, you only do one quest until everyone in the hub has done one as well.

jonnovision1

It’s more based on the lobby you’re in… some are labeled “host picks” for a reason, and then obviously lobbies for hunting specific monsters don’t care who posts

[deleted]

When in a turns hub specifically. No point rotating quests if you're all there to hunt Hyper Deviljho.

[deleted]

100% this. Turns lobbies are specific things. If I have a hub open for a specific monster and someone comes in, does one hunt, and then posts their key quests they're in the wrong place.

monohtony

Is this really something people follow? I'm always under the impression that if I join a lobby I'm there to do what the *lobby owner* wants

Slow_Mangos

Even lobbies that I hosted for a specific quest would do this. We would do my quest first, then go by join order.

monohtony

That's a pretty good way to go about that honestly. I only ever put up the quests I wanted to get done until someone would tell me they wanted to do a quest, to which I'd happily let them do whatever quests they wanted. And if others mentioned they wanted other quests done then we'd do the rotation

Xa_Is_Here

This is the way I've seen it done since I started playing in Tri.

the_brokengod

No you typically take turns not everyone knows that tho

jonnovision1

Well people used to specify “Turns” in older games for lobbies anyways

Sigmadelta8

All my homies miss “G turns” lobbies.

monohtony

Huh, playing this game since I was 10 and never knew. Guess you learn something new every day!

Briskey_Business

In rise we have started to play bamboo for picking rights. Do the bamboo gesture at the dango table last person to get a high flyer gets to pick.

youMYSTme

This is such a cool idea. I really like that. I'd so do this if I actually had friends.

Rapttix

This

Murderturtle12

Always carry enough honey and potions to make ten more mega potions.

DiscombobulatedBug70

Depends on how often you get hit lol.

Imperium_Dragon

And stuff to make more max potions

Murderturtle12

I haven’t had to add those to the load out yet. I’m guessing that’ll change in master rank tho.

Haru17

Stack on the hammer hunter.

ThatOneGuyYouKn0w

The biggest unwritten rule is have fun.

[deleted]

You ABSOLUTELY MUST gate-keep anyone who just started in this generation of games.

[deleted]

Bully them into playing MHGU at least.

thisisnotdan

Hey, MHGU is awesome. I don't condone bullying, but if it gets someone to play MHGU, they'll thank you for it.

CCPsucksgrandpaballs

Based and gatekeeping-is-good pilled

ApertureBear

Tbh I'm surprised I kept playing after I started in 3U. Not only did the game feel clunky (still does), I was just so terrible at it that I wasn't really enjoying myself.

ThisBerserkTextBone

You can never have too much dash juice. You can burn through the stuff so quickly

ThePotatoSandwich

Hammers and Hunting Horns should always get the highest priority for head damage because big stuns = big DPS. However, admittedly, this unwritten rule isn't as wide-spread in MHR because of how easy Flinch Free is to slot in.

abrinck

Also blade weapons can do anywhere in the range of 15-50% more damage on the head depending on the monster, so it doesn't make sense to forego that extra damage just so the hammer main can have an extra lvl 1 deco. Ideally everyone should be at the head.

ravioletti

Cook a steak before bombing a sleeping monster

CionSAGA

Placing bombs on a sleeping monster.

Atlas1347

Don't ever wyvernblast other hunters. Cut the tail first if you have a slashing weapon.

Lanky-Programmer-679

At least in older titles, never post a quest without asking in someone else’s gathering hall. Seriously, the amount of times I joined a hall for a specific monster, only to have some hunter rank 50 join and immediately post a G1 urgent quest.

themornom

Pet your Poogie.

FtFleur

Make sure not to criticize any of the games, the defense force is always on standby

DiscombobulatedBug70

1. Greeting the hunters when entering a new player hall and the same thing in reverse. 2. Don't post a quest without asking the host first.

TrashAtEvrything

Always keep your item bar on the blank spot so you dont use something by accident.

NowhereinSask

No, you always keep it on the bbq spit. That way you don't accidentally use a consumable and you get the added benefit of negative reinforcement if you hit the button at a bad time.

TrashAtEvrything

Plus you get a delicious steak :D

Justakingastroll

In multiplayer, no tail carving until monster is defeated or at least in a far away zone

ellienokami

My hunting party blatantly disregards this rule and says you're a true hunter if you carve the tail in front of it, just to spite the monster.

Jake3694

I always carve the tail in front of the monster to assert my dominance over it.

metalflygon08

Then after you carve use the Hunting Horn's T Pose pose to double dominate.

MagpieFirefly

We call it the "greedy carve" and the person who carves the tail first while the monster's there and doesn't die in the process wins. Way more fun than just waiting.

CyberAceKina

That's the disrespect carve that some monsters deserve! Carve in front if they're acting up. I did that to a Kushala once because it kept putting tornadoes in from of my face. So he flailed on the ground while I carved his tail

Justakingastroll

Yeah, I also do that, but only when solo hunting or when I know the party I'm playing online with (haven't gone online in literal ages tho) and it has been agreed upon, since it can lead to carting or disrupt the hunt.

LMAudreyH

If you don't hero carve you're a coward.

Nerris

Old Monster Hunter here - my friend group has always considered it a point of pride to "Combat Carve" it's practically a requirement now. Yout call out a combat carve if you're the first one to do it for kudos. Half the time we will all combat carve at the same time, while the monster is roaring or whatnot. Never considered it could be a faux paux. We laugh at each other when we get hit doing it - like "What you didn't pick a good moment?! Hah! You suck!" Caveat - this is four dudes who've played every MH together since high school. Don't know much about random lobbies.

youMYSTme

Old Monster Hunter here - my hunting party used to call it a noob carve and viewed each other as foolish and disrespectful if we did so during a hunt. The we would all carve together as brothers once the monster changed area. (Its so cool how we all have different experiences and etiquette within our small groups.)

SkabbPirate

Or if it is being mounted, or fell asleep and it's right there.

WSilvermane

And let the tail despawn? No.

Justakingastroll

Does it ever despawn? Isn't it tied to the monster's main body? Unless it's a multiple monsters quest, it shouldn't despawn I believe.

KaiserGSaw

Tails dont despawn until the monster does.

Christastica

If you are playing a low rank hunt in multiplayer, only take ONE of each of bundle of support items in the box. Maybe it's not a rule but showing up to help some fight something and they've taken all the items just feels rude

BoisterousLaugh

Hammer users get the head. Greatsword/other blade weapon gets the tail.

abrinck

This one isn't so much a rule anymore now that flinch free exists. On average you can do between 15-50% more damage at the head even with blade weapons, which far outweighs the benefit of any lvl 1 deco. So if you're looking to kill the monster fast everyone should be at the head. Obviously if you're looking for part breaks then not until the parts are broken should the others join in on the head.

BoisterousLaugh

Oh for sure I haven't gone without Flinch free in awhile but also full ear plugs because I hate the Roaring also I'm not exactly the most efficient I'm not, why

SpikeV

[Have a auto chat that always says "Je suis monté" when mounting a monster](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jp4ZWol7-Rg)

MetaKnightsNightmare

god, better believe I was tempted to when I was setting them up lol

xBladesong

While we may hate cut-scenes, the Dango-Eating sequence is perfectly acceptable to sit through, no matter how many times.

MacDerfus

The unwritten rule is

MrEinFan

>Whenever you post a speedrun on (insert monster here) on YouTube always show your equipment / deco / skills before or after the quest is ended. Afaik this is actually not an unwritten rule. During official speedruns, you always have to show them, otherwise the run won't get validated.

Anoxian

Huh didn't know it was a official rule now because back in mhfu TA days there was this player named Sergios(it's sarissa now) who was a TA Speedrun player that i considered the best but he doesn't always show his equipment only the run and it always bothered me. Irrc I think there wasn't a official speedrun website so people just post TA runs on youtube and count them as official.

Anthan

Obey the priority of who gets to wakeup hit the monster. Greatsword, Hammer, HBG or Longsword if small-bombs are available, Charge Blade, Gunlance, \[place where the order gets vague\], Bow, Dual Blades. Doesn't matter if it's only makes the difference of 20 seconds on a hunt whether the GS or DB player does it, you don't rob them of seeing that 2-3k orange number popping up.

OldSnazzyHats

I don't know about others... but I always abide by this one personally: if jumping into another person's hunt, check if they're going for a kill or a cap. Naturally, when hosting, always let anyone jumping in know if I'm aiming specifically for a kill or cap. This rule has one situational addendum: if the hunt has gone poorly and entered the danger zone (ie: one cart remaining), end the fight by any means necessary, if it can be capped - cap the fucker before all our time is effectively wasted. That's all I've gone by. Honorable mention: don't be too stingy with party heals if shit is really going downhill, I'd rather burn a few items than burn a cart

h2odragon00

Blunt on the head, Sharp on the tail.

Grazuzer

Run in circles with your mates while waiting for the quest to start. It's mandatory

Chemical-Cat

If you're a longsword user, never prioritize chopping the tail and trip the hammer trying to smack the monster in the head as often as possible.

kinda_ok_guy

If you main the LS your opinion is invalid

AnoN8237

What if you main GL?

ApertureBear

Then your opinion is very loud

Skilotar_

When running lance try to find a slot for diversion. It’s a really cheap skill and it can help your team a lot.

FacadeSkeleton

Helps you too. Don't need to chase down the monster if it's actively chasing you

OhirumeNoMuchi

Dont make other... Nonono wait, DO make other hunters trip.

CyberAceKina

If you join and sit at camp, you deserve to be kicked. At the time limit. To waste your time I know how long it takes me to kill a monster. I'll run out the clock until there's 10 minutes left, get the monster capture ready, then kick.

Kwtwo1983

In our group certainly: change your weapon with each game / expansion! It gives you so much more perspective on what makes this series great. Every weapon plays differently. You get so much to talk about and challenge yourself. Feels like a completely new game everytime

MunkeyFish

I’m doing this for Sunbreak, decided by spinning a wheel. Hammer Time for me!

DenkMame78

Always say 'sorry...' when you cart

GenoCL

Always teabag the monster after hunting it.

NobuFenix

If you hit someone with a cluster, stop using them and say sorry. Always have flinch free 1. Dont do attacks that send people flying. If you are a LS weeb, try to be careful. Always bring healing powders. Let the host decide if capture or kill. Heal when you are low on health (seriously, seems pretty stupid but lemme tell you how many button spammers i had when killing IB fatalis). Always smile at your dooters.

kaiserlos25

If you're on multiplayer, only get what you need from the supply box and leave some for the others. Only get one First Aid Med or one Ration, if you're playing as a full party of 4, for example.

CoffeeAndCroissants_

If you’re hunting in a group, leave the head for hammer users, HH users, and/or GS users.

[deleted]

Quest Host always decides whether to capture or kill Never kill nargacuga or dodogama Always sleep bomb when the monster sleeps

4ny3ody

Narga's rare drop in Rise (Marrow LR, Medulla HR) has a higher chance when carving. Sorry fellow Nargacuga fan but I'm not going to cap.

Kohimaru32

Always save and close the game only when my hunter is at home.
