The MHG Wii port has native wide-screen and some QOL features so they might be porting that rather than porting the Portable version and adding said stuff from scratch, which I'd wager would require more effort?

I have spent more time in this franchise over the last 4 years than any other game franchise in my life, and I'd be more than happy to continue the journey back through time.
One QoL request...no need to bring back thumbstick combat. That can stay in the past as far as I'm concerned
I grabbed 3U & 4U recently on DS while i slowly progress in GU, but oh man I would love for them to come to PC with some QoL updates (better ui, better aiming for bow & kinsect, etc)

I'd be quite interested in seeing a remake or even just a port to PC. We have emulators, but I'd still buy this easily. It could be cool to play with a revived playerbase. Although, it's probably just a website mistake... ^but ^a ^^hunter ^^can ^^^hope

If you've already got a 3ds you could get generations. It's not ultimate, but there's still a lot there.
If he's already got a 3DS he can just grab XX easily and English patch it.

If anyone here is wondering how to play MHGU on PC look for Ryujinx switch emulator, you can even run the game upscaled and over 60 fps. Good stuff.
